Bruised Nights

Dick Grayson x reader

"Alright, alright! I said I was sorry." Dick muttered, flinching as you carefully dabbed at the deep gash on his face. To be fair, he had come home with more injuries than usual this time, so maybe your frustration was warranted. It wasn’t exactly rare for him to show up battered and bruised after a fight, life as a vigilante practically guaranteed it but tonight felt different. Yet, his girlfriend still gets so mad at him for getting hurt. You were in the living room taking care of his wounds while he was sitting on the black leather couch.

“You’re so stupid, I can’t believe this!”

You slap the back of his head when walking behind him, Dick stumbled forward and groaned at getting hit by his beloved. He shot a glare over his shoulder at you.

“Ouch, that hurts.”

He exclaimed, his tone laced with annoyance. He was more annoyed at the fact that you resorted to physical violence when you could have just talked it out.

“That’s the point.”

Dick turned around and faced you, crossing his arms across his chest. 

"What's that supposed to mean?"

 He raised an eyebrow at you and placed a hand up to gently rub the back of his head, still feeling pain from your smack. He sighed and let out a small huff of annoyance. 

"You can't just go around smacking me on the head whenever you get mad at me." “Actually, I can.”

 You slapped his head again, Dick let out another soft whine when he felt the slap again. He couldn't even react this time since it happened so fast. He reached up and rubbed the back of his head once more. He was getting a little irritated by you.

"That's assault, do you even know I'm the one you're dealing with? I could get you into real trouble if you keep smacking my head, woman."

He protested, trying to keep a straight face despite the redness from getting slapped twice now.

“Fuck off, Grayson” 

You hugged his neck from behind and kissed his cheek, Dick chuckled softly once he felt your arms wrap around his neck and your lips planting kisses on his cheek.  He couldn't even stay mad now, not when you were so suddenly being so affectionate towards him. He leaned back against your embrace, letting out a small hum of contentment.

 "You're such a pain in the ass, you know that?" 

He teased, before turning his head to look back at you.

 "But I love you."
