PETS I THINK THE TF2 MERCS WOULD HAVE 🐾🐕

Scout:

I think it’s pretty obvious that Scout would have a pet dog, he needs an animal that can match his energy! I can definitely see him having a golden retriever or a spaniel. He would take his dog out on walks (races) for AT LEAST two hours per day, he’ll even skip meals for it if he has to. He would also annoy the rest of the team by letting the dog trail mud into the base. Thats the one downside, he would only properly clean the dog if it was genuinely too stinky to be around. I can imagine he’d struggle to clean such an energetic dog though and would probably end up soaked. He doesn’t mind though, he loves his puppy! He probably would just get a simple collar (red or blue depending on which team this is, probably red) with a lil tag with the dog’s name and his contact details. He’d probably name is dog some kind of reference to a movie.

Soldier:

It’s no secret that Soldier is a fan of raccoons and I can’t really picture him having any other pet if I’m being honest. He’d have a pet raccoon! As raccoons seem to be pretty low maintenance, he’d just carry it around on his shoulder and let it do whatever it wants. Even if the raccoon doesn’t know it, Soldier ADORES his lil trashy friend! He hugs it at night, dresses it in tiny military uniforms and cooks ground beef especially for it. That raccoon is like his own child. As embarrassing as it is, Soldier has definitely cried over the raccoon getting sick, even if it’s just a mild stomach bug. Despite not really needing a collar, Soldier got one anyway, he doesn’t want to risk his little friend getting lost. I imagine the collar has lil spikes on it too :). He’d definitely name his raccoon something along the lines of Soldier Jr, Jane Jr or MAYBE just Friend.

Pyro:

I actually really don’t know what Pyro would have as a pet. I can only picture them with like a zoo of pets. Let me go flip a coin or smth rq brb okay so ferret. Pyro would have a ferret! Actually, as ferrets are social animals, Pyro would have three ferrets, nobody would allow more than three as they stink up the base. Anyway, Pyro would adore their little fur snakes! They’d definitely build a shitty little obstacle courses in their room for the ferrets to navigate through for rewards. They also like to sew little outfits for them! Pyro doesn’t often put the ferrets in a cage or anything, they just let them roam around their room, sometimes even around the rest of the base. They don’t even have names, Pyro just calls them “the ferrets” or “white/brown/cream ferret” depending on the fur colour.

Demo:

Demo is 100% a cat person. He can’t handle the neediness of a dog, he hates the noise, the smell, the walks. He just wants to come back to the base after a long day and sit down with a cat on his lap. He’s not picky about which cat breed he gets, he’ll adopt any kitty that needs a home, maybe even multiple. If he weren’t in a whole war, he would probably take in elderly cats and give them a good last few years or even months. Demo just LOVES cats, every time he hears them purr his heart just melts <3. He spends A LOT of money on his cats, his room is full of cat trees and cat toys for them. I feel like his cats would be indoor cats by choice, so they wouldn’t really need a collar, but he’d get them lil plaid bandanas! For special events, he’ll put them in lil bowties. He’d give them fairly common, old-timey cat names. Charlie, Kitty, Jasper, Mittens, Boots and similar names are all options.

Heavy:

I can’t explain why, I really can’t, but Heavy needs to have a parrot. Or just some kind of speaking bird. He walks around the base with his parrot on his shoulder, it’s a very polite bird, it only speaks when spoken to and says thank you when given treats. He has trained his loyal bird well, it can speak basic phrases (all with a HEAVY Russian accent) (which Scout finds hilarious) and can attack on command. Scout and Spy are the main victims of Heavy and the birds wrath. All Heavy has to do it point at you and its over, your face is scratched and pecked and a chunk of your hair is bitten off. After a hard day, Heavy enjoys sitting in a comfy chair and giving his bird head scratches whilst feeding it seeds. He tries to act unmoved around others but Heavy would put his life on the line for that bird. At night, the bird doesn’t sleep in a cage, it has a perch next to Heavy’s own bed and is free to fly around the room. He wouldn’t think too hard about a name, just settling for something like “птичка” (aka Birdie).

Engineer:

Dare I say Engie would have a small tortoise. I dare say it. I do dare. It’s the perfect pet for him! They’re fairly low maintenance, quiet and don’t require a huge amount of attention! He can just get on with his work and occasionally glance ever to his little friend. I think that Engie likes to just watch his tortoise go about its day. Maybe he even does a lil commentary as he watches it slowly make its way over to some lettuce. He likes to take it out of the tank and watch it waddle around his desk as he works. He loves his little friend and would literally die for it. You know how tortoises often attack dark coloured things? Demo hates that little reptile. Engie defends that thing with his life. I think Engie 100% made a lil cowboy hat for his tortoise as well <3. He’d probably name it something basic like Shelly or Rover.

Medic:

Honestly I can’t see Medic having anything other than his birds. He’s just a bird guy! Him and Heavy are bird guys who let their birds have playdates. Of course, Archimedes is his favourite bird, so I’m focusing on that. I definitely think that Medic pretends to do his birds makeup. Archimedes sits by him every morning whilst he does his own makeup, so medic gets a clean brush and sponge and starts tapping them gently on the birds face. He wants his bird friend to feel included! He probably even goes “oh woww aren’t you a pretty bird! <3 so pretty! <3” whilst doing it. In the winter, Medic makes him wear a lil tiny scarf and maybe even lil boots! Birds are prone to frostbite on their feet, he refuses to let that happen to Archimedes. Honestly, I think Medic lets Archimedes sleep in the same bed as him. The bird even gets his own pillow. Medic doesn’t mind, he bathes his birds often enough that theres no risk of getting sick.

Sniper:

BEARDED DRAGON. SNIPER HAS A BEARDED DRAGON. I don’t care what you think, thats what he has. He lets it sit on his shoulder, he lets it hide under his hat, that lizard is the most chill lizard you will ever meet. If the weather is nice and hot, Sniper will bring his bearded dragon outside and let it bask on a rock, he’ll even sit next to it! I honestly think Sniper would love to have more reptiles but he simply doesn’t have the time or energy to care for more than one. He often goes outside with a jar and collects bugs for his lizard to eat. He’s not squeamish, he’ll grab them with his bare hands. Sniper loves his scaled friend, he has a severe emotional attachment to that lizard which he refuses to admit to anyone. Another thing he refuses to admit is that he makes tiny hats for it too. Maybe even tiny sunglasses as well. He’d name his bearded dragon something boring, probably Sheila if it’s a girl. If not, Darwin.

Spy:

At first, I couldn’t picture Spy having any pet. They’re either too furry, too needy or too inelegant. And then I found the perfect one, a hairless cat. Spy would have a hairless cat and he would sit with it on his lap whilst evilly petting it. He found it weird at first, then he found out how expensive they were, then having a hairless cat made him feel more rich. Over time, he learnt to love his little fleshy cat, even if he has to bathe it often and oil it, which feels odd to him. Oiling a cat just feels unnatural, but he’ll do it for his feline friend. Scout makes fun of him for it, calling his cat a ballsack, which earns him a slap round on the back of his head. Him and Demo bond over cats though! Spy will occasionally let Demo babysit his cat for him, which Demo is more than happy to do. Spy would get his cat an expensive, dainty collar, mostly just as a show of wealth. He’d probably name his cat something French. I can only see him having a female cat, so something like Jolie, Cherie or Perle.

What do you think are the Morning or/and night routines of the mercs? :o

TF2 MERCS NIGHTTIME /MORNING ROUTINES 🌙☀️

Scout:

Scout doesn’t tend to go to bed until he is genuinely struggling to keep his eyes open. By then, he’s too tired to bother with anything fancy, at most he’ll wash his face if he looks in the mirror and sees that he looks particularly drained. All Scout will do is brush his teeth, lazily take off his shirt and flop onto the bed. He’s definitely more of a morning guy, in the mornings he’s up and running around! He gets up, runs a few laps around his room then goes to shower. He slaps on whatever shower products are in there (he has no idea what they are or what they do), rinses, runs out, grabs a towel and goes back to his room. He then gets dressed and ready for the day! Scout has a pretty big appetite, especially in the mornings. He’ll eat whatever is cooked then do a few laps around the base then come back for more food.

Soldier:

Similarly to Scout, Soldier doesn’t have much of a night routine. He’ll brush his teeth, take off his shirt and sleep in whatever else he’s wearing. He doesn’t struggle to sleep at all, he’s out as soon as his head hits the pillow. He does tend to sleep talk a lot though! Sometimes he even sleep walks, Engie is usually the one to guide him back to his room. In the mornings, he’ll wash his face, brush his teeth, MAYBE take a shower and leave his room to wake up the others. Soldier is almost always the first one awake, he’ll usually wake up at around 4:30 - 5 AM and will get angry that nobody else is awake yet. He’ll be a little less grumpy after eating something, which is usually bacon.

Pyro:

Pyro doesn’t go to bed until around 1AM. They like to stay awake and watch TV when nobody else is around. Midnight is the perfect time for this, nobody is there to change the channel or complain! Pyro gets the TV all to themselves until they get tired at 1AM, then they’ll go back to their room. They’ll take off their mask to brush their teeth and wash their face, I think that they avoid looking in the mirror too much though, in my mind they have facial scars that they hate looking at. They shower at night rather than in the morning with whatever products are there (although they usually have to buy products aimed at sensitive skin). Afterwards, they’ll dry off a bit, put the mask back on and go to sleep. In the mornings, Pyro is usually a bit grumpy from staying up too late every night. They’ll brush their teeth again, change into their usual clothes and leave their room. They don’t usually eat breakfast, they don’t tend to eat in the mornings as it gives them a tummy ache.

Demo:

Demo is a sensible man, he works out when he has to wake up in the morning and gives himself at least 8 hours of sleep. He’ll usually go to bed at around 9:30PM, maybe a little later if something good is on TV. Before he goes to bed, he always makes himself hot chocolate, maybe one for Pyro too if they’re around. He doesn’t do anything fancy like whipped cream or marshmallows, he just has it plain. Afterwards he’ll brush his teeth and go to bed, nothing extra, he’s simple. Depending on how he wakes up, Demo is either the best or the worst person to be around in the mornings. Is he wakes up on his own and goes at his own pace, he’s great! He’ll happily make breakfast for everyone and help everyone else wake up. If he is woken ip by Soldiers yelling however, he is the WORST. He yells, he complains, he snaps at anyone who dares to say good morning. He’ll usually start drinking first thing on days like this, he needs a way to stay somewhat awake and cope with the day. He has a simple routine every morning of waking up, showering if necessary, getting dressed, brushing his teeth and either making breakfast for everyone or yelling at anyone who comes near him.

Heavy:

Similarly to Demo, Heavy is a sensible guy. He will go to bed no later than 9PM, which is usually when he starts getting tired. Unlike most of the other mercs who usually sleep in their clothes or MAYBE a different tshirt, Heavy has his own set of special pyjamas that the Medic got him as a gift. He had another set before but Medic said they didn’t look as nice as the current ones. Usually, Heavy is the first one to go to bed out of the mercs. He’ll go all around the base to say goodnight to everybody then make himself a cup of chamomile tea to bring to his room. He usually has a few sips and then forgets about it </3. Once he’s either finished or forgotten about his tea, he’ll go to wash his face and brush his teeth before finally going to bed. In the mornings, Heavy is decent to be around, he’s pretty good at accepting the fact that he needs to get up and doesn’t make a fuss about it. He’s actually often woken up by hearing Scout sprint past his window. He’ll get out of bed, have a very quick shower, clean his teeth, get dressed and go to either help with cooking or eat (depending on what time he gets there and who is cooking).

Engineer:

Engie tends to stay up later than others but usually aims to get to bed before midnight (mostly because he knows Pyro will get grumpy if he’s still watching TV by then). His nights are usually spent watching TV with a beer, sitting outside with a beer or in his workshop with a beer. He likes his beer. Once he does eventually go to bed, he just brushes his teeth and sleeps wherever he previously was. On a chair outside, in his workshop, maybe the couch if Pyro lets him, it’s rare for him to actually sleep in his room. In the mornings, Engie is usually a little grumpy, he’ll complain a lot but give up after a few minutes and get on with his day. He’ll go to the bathroom, bush his teeth, wash his face and maybe shower if he thinks he needs to. He’s accepted it as his job to cook breakfast for everyone, mostly because he’s the only one with a decent amount of cooking knowledge. He’ll cook everyone bacon and eggs, eat some himself and then go back to his workshop.

Medic:

Medic has intense night AND morning routines which he executes THOROUGHLY every day. At night, he has a strict schedule that he follows very closely. At 9PM, he begins his routine, nobody can disturb him from now onwards. He shuts himself in his bathroom and begins by removing any makeup, usually some concealer, maybe some eyeshadow, nothing too heavy but he likes to look his best! Anyway, after a hard day of battle, he certainly doesn’t look his best, so it’s time to take it off. Afterwards, he will VIGOROUSLY wash his face then (depending on how old he feels he looks that day) apply a face mask of some variety. He’ll leave it on for the required time then wash/peel it off. He’ll brush his teeth then give his face another quick wash before changing into his silk pyjamas and climbing into bed. In the mornings, Medic is usually rather irritable, don’t even try and talk to him until at least an hour of him being awake. He’ll go into the bathroom again, shower, wash his face, apply various skincare products then begin his makeup. Like I said, he keeps it fairly light, applying concealer on parts of his face, maybe some eyeshadow if he feels he needs it and perhaps some blush. Either way, he looks pretty <3. Then he’ll comb his hair before getting dressed properly and going out to eat.

Sniper:

As much as I would love for him to have a super complex routine, I don’t think this man even bothers to wash his face. Its a miracle that he even showers. He goes to bed whenever he feels too tired to stay awake and will usually just brush his teeth and flop down somewhere in his van. He doesn’t care where he sleeps as long as it’s comfortable and somewhat clean. He MIGHT sleep in his actual bed if he’s been having a particularly hard day. Every morning, he grumpily wakes up and makes himself some coffee. Don’t even attempt to talk to him until he’s had some coffee, you WILL be punched in the face. He’s the worst person to be around in the mornings, the other mercs don’t dare bother him until at least an hour after he wakes up. He’ll take a shower (doing the bare minimum), brush his teeth then eventually go to get some food with the others. Nobody talks to him at the table, which he prefers as he’s still recovering from waking up. After they’ve all eaten, thats when he’s feeling a bit more social.

Spy:

Spy goes to bed at exactly 9:30 every night, no later, no earlier. He will force himself to stay awake until 9:30 even if he’s exhausted. He’ll grumpily keep lighting cigarettes to pass the time. Once the time has come, he’ll take off his mask to brush his teeth, wash his face and check if his hairline is intact. Depending on how hot it is that night, he’ll either put the mask back on or leave it off. He typically only leaves it off if it’s dangerously hot. Is it a bit silly to sleep in a mask? Yes. Does he want to risk Scout breaking into his room and seeing how similar their faces are? No, absolutely not. Once he’s finished in the bathroom, he’ll finally got to his bedroom. I like to think that he reads before bed, usually only the more classical political books such as Animal Farm by George Orwell or The Trial by Franz Kafka. He doesn’t care for sci-fi or fantasy, don’t even ATTEMPT to make himself read it. It’s bad enough that Scout made them watch Forbidden Planet on movie night. In the morning, Spy is almost as grumpy as Sniper although he probably wouldn’t hit you, he’d just insult you. He wakes up, complains to himself about how he has to work, go into the bathroom and shower. He only uses expensive shower products, a lot of the other mercs think he’s being snobbish but he doesn’t care, looking and smelling this good isn’t cheap. After he’s showered, he’ll wash his face and brush his teeth, maybe even do a LITTLE skincare but only a little! Just to keep his skin looking healthy (even though it’s covered by a mask </3). After that, he’ll go and dress himself before heading to go and eat with the other mercs. He’ll usually sit near Heavy as he’s the only reasonable one there.

TF2 MERCS BEING TAKEN CARE OF 🏥🩹

Scout:

Scout is the type of guy to avoid asking for help unless his arm is literally about to fall off. I imagine he got a few nasty cuts and scrapes in battle, left them to heal on their own, watched them start to get infected then did a walk of shame to your room for help. He’d be a total baby about it! If you even looked at his injuries he’d tell you that you’re hurting him. He might even start crying a bit if it stings. He’d be very embarrassed the whole time but would give you a quick hug afterwards, he’s still grateful! He’d be especially appreciative if you made a big deal about how bad the injuries were so he didn’t feel like he was being dramatic.

Soldier:

Soldier would probably doubt your abilities to help him but would eventually let you. He’d deny you until the pain was too much to ignore, then he’d grumpily sit down on your bed and let you patch him up. He’d tell you all about the great wars of America whilst you treated his injuries, you’d have to tell him to sit still multiple times (he’s a very expressive talker <3). Once you were done, he’d ruffle your hair and thank you, maybe even give you a quick (awkward) hug! He would also tell you not to tell anyone about this encounter.

Pyro:

Pyro would go to you if they even got a singular scratch. You specifically, they don’t trust Medic. They’d be a little nervous to begin with if they had to show any skin but would relax after a few minutes. They’d happily chat away about whatever had been on their mind that day whilst you patched them up. Literally a dream patient. They don’t move, they don’t complain, they just let you do what you need to do! They may occasionally go “owie :(“ but nothing more! Because of you, they probably carry around a small medical kit on the battlefield, they want to be able to help you too! Pyro would be even happier if you used some kind of colourful bandaids <3. Afterwards, they’d give you a tight hug and go back to business. They’re also happy to patch you up if you need it!

Demo:

Unlike a lot of the other guys, Demo wouldn’t be embarrassed about going to you for help. If he needs help, he’s going to get it, it doesn’t make him any less of a man! He’d casually talk about whatever happened in battle that day, mentioning how many BLUs he took down and how many stunts he was able to pull off. You’d have to tell him to sit still a few times, but other than that, he’d be pretty good. Might say “ow” a few times but nothing more than that. Afterwards, he’d give you a pat on the back, ruffle your hair and thank you then go back to whatever he was doing beforehand.

Heavy:

Like Demo, our king Heavy wouldn’t be embarrassed. He would probably only go to you if Medic was unavailable, but as previously stayed for Demo, if he needs help, he’s needs help. You’ll do just fine for now. He’d probably be a bit quiet whilst you patched him up, not out of rudeness, he just has nothing much to say. If you start a conversation, he’ll start talking. If not, awkward silence with an occasional “ow.” In a very monotone voice. He’d also be VERY still, so much so that you’d check that he was actually conscious a few times. Once you finish patching him up, he’d give you a pat on the shoulder and leave. He will be grateful even if he doesn’t really express it. Will recommend you to other mercs.

Engineer:

Similarly to Scout, Engie won’t go to ANYONE unless he is on the verge of dying. He’d suck it up until the pain was bad enough to distract him from working, then he’d finally go to you. You’re probably his first choice because he’s seen too much of Medics work to trust him not to kill him somehow. He’d be a bit embarrassed about being in pain to begin with so he would be a little awkward. I think he would definitely complain non stop, but not because it hurts. He’d yap non stop about “why are you taking so long?” “I’m a busy man, can you hurry it up?” “Medic would have fixed me up by now”. Heavy on the last comment. It would be easy to shut him up by just saying “why don’t you go to Medic, then?”. Then he’d quit his complaints. Afterwards, he’d awkwardly thank you and quickly leave.

Medic:

Medic would only go to you if he was unable to fix the issue himself, which is rare. He’d be grateful that someone else on the team has some medical knowledge! He might try and correct you a few times, but other than that, he’d a pretty good person to work with! He stays fairly still (unless you hurt him, then he’d practically throwing himself across the room), he’s polite and just talks about various stories from his career and he might even compliment your medical skills! Once you were done, he’d go to a mirror, inspect your work then give you a quick hug whilst thanking you. He’s put his jacket/coat/fuckass whatever it is back on and leave. He might even send a few of the injured mercs your way in the future!

Sniper:

Snipers a sensible man… kinda. If he gets a bad injury, he’ll try and patch it up himself. If it worsens, he’ll give in and go to you for help. He’d be a decent guy to work with, he doesn’t move around too much of flinch, he just goes “ouch.” In a grumpy lil voice and gives you a look. Other than that, he’ll just talk about his day, his van and maybe even ask you a few things about yourself! Once you were done, he’d inspect your work, give you a thumbs up and leave. If you’re lucky, he might slip you a singular dollar as a thanks.

Spy:

Much like Sniper, Spy is a sensible man. He trusts you more than Medic, so he’ll go to you if he’s in pain. He might complain a bit if it hurts, but he’d still be appreciative of your help! He’s a good patient! He sits still and won’t bully you too badly, after all, you know more about medicine than him. He understands that it’s best not to piss off the people who heal your injuries. Whilst you worked, he’d tell you all about Paris and how beautiful europe can be <3. If you did a decent enough job, he’ll give you 10 dollars at the end. He won’t recommend you to other mercs, he’s a gatekeeper and only HE deserves decent healthcare.

TF2 MERCS HAVING A MOVIE NIGHT! 🍿🎞️

Scout:

Scout would definitely be the one to pick the movie! He’d probably either choose something action based or a romance movie depending on who he’s with. If Spy’s there, theres no way he’s choosing a romance movie, he doesn’t need Spy yapping in his ear about how he’ll never find a woman to love. I think he’s also quite jumpy and his popcorn goes flying a lot. During romance movies, he definitely tears up a bit, especially if it’s a forbidden love story (he’s a total sucker for that trope). He’d be embarrassed if anyone noticed, he totally just had something in his eye!

Soldier:

Soldier’s favourite movies are old war tapes but nobody else on the team wants to watch them, so he settles for whatever action movie Scout picks, which will annoy him a little. He’ll sit there in silence for most of the movie, arms crossed. If he thinks the movie is particularly bad, he’ll try and shout orders at the actors through the screen then get angry when it doesn’t work. I feel like he is an absolute FEIND for popcorn. He’ll start with taking a small handful from someone else’s bucket, they’ll look down, all the popcorn is gone. He won’t even deny that it was him.

Pyro:

Pyro wouldn’t want to watch an action movie, they get bored of those too easily. Instead, they’ll have their own movie night in their room, which would probably be either a Disney movie or a slasher, no in between. Whichever it is, they’re happy watching it alone, contently eating their sweet and salty popcorn. They might get lonely after a while and peep their head out to see what the others are doing, but they get bored and go back to their own movie. Pyro definitely rewatches movies a lot, they like the predictably, it stops them from worrying about what will happen next. They’d eventually fall asleep after a couple of movies and spill popcorn everywhere.

Demo:

Surprisingly, I think Demo would only be interested in watching a romance movie. He sees enough death and explosions on the battlefield, it’s nice to see something sweet and wholesome for once! He might tease Scout for picking it but not too much! He probably wouldn’t eat popcorn, he’d just drink whatever alcohol was on offer. After getting drunk enough, Demos in tears and crying rather loudly whilst watching the movie, prompting the others to yell at him or even make him leave. He cannot handle any kind of sad event in a movie, especially when theres no happy ending. Do NOT let him watch The Green Mile.

Heavy:

Heavy is definitely the one helping organise it all. He reviews whatever movie Scout picks, makes all the popcorn, checks in on Pyro, he wants everyone to have a nice evening! I don’t think he has a specific movie genre preference, he just likes a good plot. He would stay away from anything overly gory or violent, though. He is not a fan of unnecessary violence, even if it’s a movie. But overall, his main priority is making sure everyone is happy and enjoying themselves! He helps Demo to his room when he gets too drunk and checks up on him a few times as well.

Engineer:

Engie will watch pretty much anything! He might have a slight preference for darker movies, but anything works for him. He’ll just grab a beer and watch the movie if it’s entertaining enough. He might even fall asleep halfway through. He is DEFINITELY the type to be annoying and point out when things aren’t realistic, though </3. “that gun would have more recoil.” “The explosion would be bigger.” Stop talking Engie <3.

Medic:

We already know that he’s picking some gore filled horror movie. We know he’s fantasising about the killer. He doesn’t know if he wants to be them or be with them. Medic would be happily eating his salty popcorn whilst watching someone beg for their life on the TV. He would find any other movie boring, he would even disapprove of Scouts choices, its horror or nothing. Would definitely sit and complain if he was forced to watch anything else.

Sniper:

Sniper avoids taking part in movie nights whenever possible, he just considers them a waste of time. He MIGHT stick around if the movie gets interesting fast, he doesn’t like slow paced movies. He’ll probably just watch whatever Scout chooses, he really can’t be bothered to decide on his own. If it gets good, he may steal someone else’s popcorn, probably Scouts.

Spy:

Similarly to Sniper, Spy considers movie nights to be a waste of time. If he wanted to hang out with a group of unstable, sexually ambiguous men, he would, but he doesn’t want to. He was guilt tripped into attending by Engie, who has been trying to get him to bond with Scout a bit more. He’ll watch whatever Scout picks and will complain the entire time. He will also criticise any man in a romance movie, which will annoy everyone until he is told to leave. He may go and angrily sit with Pyro for a bit, just to keep himself from getting sad about being kicked out of movie night.

TF2 MERCS BEING GIFTED A DRAWING OF THEMSELVES 🎨🗒️

Scout:

Surprisingly, Scout is an art enthusiast! He does his own drawings when he has the time, nothing too detailed but he draws different poses and sometimes goofy lil comics of Spy being shot in the balls. He’s pretty talented! So if he were to receive a drawing of himself, he would be VERY happy! He’d stare at it for ages, admiring the details and stuff before smiling like an idiot. He’d give you a quick hug then run to his room to put it on his wall above his desk.

Soldier:

Soldier would be very caught off guard and maybe even a little flustered if you gave him a drawing of himself. He’d ask why you draw him whilst trying to keep a straight face and not smile. Even if he doesn’t want to show it, he is VERY emotional moved by this and will forever see you as a friend of his. Bonus points if it involves an American flag in some way. He’ll ruffle your hair, say it looks nice then stiffly walk back to his room to put it in his bedside drawer. He’ll admire it in secret every night!

Pyro:

Pyro would be overjoyed to receive a drawing of themselves! Id you gave them one, they’d immediately get all excited and hug you! They’d giggle a series of muffled thank yous and compliments whilst admiring the drawing. They’re so honoured that you thought they were good enough to draw! They’d take it back to their room and put it in a pink, decorated frame next to their bed.

Demo:

Demo would definitely do that thing mothers do where they stare at it for a moment whilst adjusting their glasses(eyepatch) and holding it a good arms length away to process what he’s looking at. After he sees what you drew, he’ll smile and ruffle your hair whilst telling you what a good artist you are! He’ll be very touched that you drew him, he’s not used to people doing things like that for him. He’ll probably stick it on the wall next to his calendar and such so he can see it daily.

Heavy:

Much like Demo, Heavy would take a moment to process what it is. He would be VERY honoured to receive a drawing of himself! He would keep a straight face but his eyes would be visibly teary as he attempts to stop himself from crying. He’s just so happy! He would thank you, give you a pat on the shoulder, go to his room, stare at it some more whilst possibly crying and then put it in a small frame near his bed.

Engineer:

Engie would def act like a proud father. He’d be very appreciative if he received a drawing of himself! You’d hand him the paper and be met with “is that me?” “Oh wow, you should be an artist!” “You got any more drawings I can see?” Overall, he’d be honoured no matter how skilled you are, he wants you to keep drawing if it makes you happy! He’s just chuffed to be the subject of one of your drawings. He’d take it back to his workshop and put the drawing in the corner of his bulletin board of blueprints and such and occasionally glance up at it whilst he works.

Medic:

Medic would have to adjust his glasses a bit first but would be THRILLED! He’d do a gay little gasp and throw a string of compliments at you whilst admiring the drawing. He’d also probably talk about his own looks whilst he’s at it. If you’re lucky, he might even ask you to draw more of him! He’d go to his medical office and put the drawing on the wall above his desk.

Sniper:

Sniper would act very unmoved if he received a drawing of himself but deep down he would be close to tears. He doesn’t like making an effort to get particularly close to people, so it’s rare that he receives gifts like this, especially handmade ones. He’d nod, tell you it looks good then walk back to his van. He’d stare at it for a while with a stupid lil smile on his face then pin it to the wall somewhere.

Spy:

Like Scout, Spy is an art enthusiast, just in a more classical way. He likes dramatic oil paintings and beautifully done nude drawings, so you’d have to do a lot to properly impress him. Either way, he would still be pleased to receive a drawing of himself and would ask you about your previous education in art, how long you’ve been drawing and so on. He’s interested to know about your taste in art, maybe you have something in common! Afterwards, he’d go back to his smoking room and frame the drawing, displaying it on the wall.

- Still drinks but not as much as RED, has it more under control

- Hangs out with Soldier sometimes but usually just stays in his room

- Has a lot of anger in him, usually gets unnecessarily violent on the battlefield

- Keeps plants on his windowsill

- Feels bad that Pyro has no friends but is also a little afraid of them

Heavy:

- A bit more quiet but pretty similar to RED Heavy.

- Just gets on with his job, doesn’t really care for being social.

- Doesn’t take any joy in killing REDs, cries about it when he’s alone because he feels awful killing other people.

- Keeps Scout in line! Is more of a father figure to him than Spy is.

- Always worries about Scout and thinks that he’s too young to be doing work like this.

- Wears a scarf! He gets cold a lot.

Engineer:

- the WORST

- very mean, especially to Pyro and Scout

- Gets drunk with Soldier a lot. Often peer pressures Soldier into being mean to the others :(.

- Yells at Pyro for like.. existing

- Annoyingly good at his job, better than RED

- Unresolved trauma

Medic:

- scary mf don’t let him perform surgery on you

- Stalks Heavy a lot

- REALLY wants to know what it would be like to violently kill someone (Scout is his first pick)

Scout:

Scout would probably be awake as well when he hears you knocking on his door. He’d get up to answer it and probably giggle when he saw how tired and disheveled you look. Of course, he would let you in and help you lie down on his bed, he’s happy to give it up for you! He wasn’t too tired yet anyway. He’d make sure to stay quiet to try and let you rest but would eventually get in bed with you, keeping you close for warmth <3. I think he’d like cuddling with you at night, especially when it’s cold.

Soldier:

Soldier would wake up to the sound of you knocking on his door and lazily get up to see what you wanted. Once he sees that you’re having trouble sleeping, he’d grumpily grab your arm, drag you to his own bed and hold you tightly. Just because you’re having trouble sleeping, doesn’t mean he is. He’ll fall asleep within a few seconds and hold you like that all night. You’re pretty much just an extra pillow to him at this point but it’s surprisingly effective! The pressure of being squeezed by him helps you fall asleep.

Pyro:

Pyro would still be awake when they hear you knocking on the door. They’d get up and let you in, find out what’s wrong and decide that this means that you’re now having a sleepover! They’ll spend most of the night watching movies in bed with you, probably surrounded by plushies. You’ll fall asleep pretty early on, but that won’t stop them from continuing their movie marathon or painting your nails! They’re just happy that you managed to get some sleep <3. After a while, they’ll tuck you in and switch off the tv. They’ll probably also cuddle you pretty tightly in the night.

Demo:

I like to think that Demo is a very heavy sleeper, so it would take a lot of knocking to wake him up to begin with. Once he does wake up, he’ll go and see what you want, roll his eye (singular) and pull you to his bed. He’ll tuck you in, grumpily tell you that you need a better sleep schedule then wait for you to eventually fall asleep. He’ll probably end up sleeping on the floor, he doesn’t want to disturb you! He will find himself admiring you a little in the night, he just thinks you look so peaceful <3.

Heavy:

This man is opening the door whilst wearing his pink pyjamas and bunny slippers and angrily asking “what?”. He’ll be grumpy at first but would be understanding in the end. He’d let you sleep in his bed and would read you books until you fall asleep! Once you’re sleeping, he’ll slowly get into bed with you, not daring to hold you or anything in case you wake up again, but he will hold your hand a little if he can <3.

Engineer:

Engie’s still awake when he hears you knock on his door, he’ll put down whatever tools he’s holding and open the door for you. He’d probably laugh at how tired you look but he’d pull you over to a nearby couch in his room and sit down, letting you put your weight on him. I imagine he’s pretty comfy to fall asleep on, so this method would work quite well and you’d fall asleep fast whilst listening to his heartbeat <3. He’d consider slipping out from under you, but you look too peaceful like this so he doesn’t dare.

Medic:

This man is GRUMPY. He’s strutting over to the door in silk pyjamas and matching slippers and screaming “what?!” When he answers. He’d calm down a bit after seeing how sleepy you look and would invite you inside. Unlike a lot of the other mercs, he has a pretty big bed (which he purchased himself), so he’s happy to let you sleep in it! He’ll give you some extra pillows and a kiss on the forehead <3. If you’re lucky, he might even spoon you a little.

Sniper:

You’d knock on the van door and be met with a very disheveled looking Sniper. He’d be a bit pissed off at first but would let you in. He wouldn’t say much, he’d just drag you over to the crappy little bed and hold you close to help you fall asleep. You’d listen to the quiet radio in the background and eventually fall asleep in his arms. He’d probably play with your hair a bit if he can as well <3.

Spy:

Spy is the worst person to go to in these tough times. You’d knock on his door, he’d open it about by about 5cm to ask what you needed then shut the door in your face. He doesn’t want to lose sleep just because you’re having trouble. If you were persistent enough, he’d reluctantly let you sleep on the couch in his room. Despite his selfishness and lack of caring, he would find himself watching you sleep for a bit, you’re a lot more peaceful and tolerable when you’re like this.

that being said, headcanons on the mercs taking care of the reader when they are sick (you choose if it’s dating or not)

TF2 MERCS COMFORTING YOU WHEN YOUR SICK 🏥💉

For this, the sickness is vomiting and stuff so don’t read if you don’t feel comfortable!

And I’m choosing to say its dating headcanons too :)

Scout:

Scout is a little clueless on what to do to help you, so he tries to remember what his mother would do for him when he was sick as a kid! He would poorly attempt to make you food (stuff thats easy to digest, of course) and would constantly check up on you make sure you’re doing okay. He might even call his mother a few times to ask for advice as he’s afraid of messing up and making it worse. He’d even help hold your hair back if you needed to throw up. Once he’s sure that it’s not contagious, he’ll sit with you in bed and keep you nice and warm with blankets <3. You’re not lifting a finger on his watch! He’d feel awful about having to leave you when he had to go and fight and would practically sprint back to your room as soon as the team got back.

Soldier:

Unfortunately, Soldier would seem a lot less caring than Scout. He’d insist that you just need fresh air, open all the windows and drag you outside in the freezing cold. Of course he’s sympathetic, he knows how crappy it feels to be sick! In his eyes, he’s helping you! If you did genuinely seem worse after that, he’d let you go back to bed and bring you apology soup afterwards. He knows there’s not much he can do other than wait for your body to fight off the illness, so he’ll bring you a few newspapers to read or maybe even bring some war tapes to watch with you!

Pyro:

As always, Pyro is an angel. They’re looking after you 24/7, even staying in your room at night in case you need to throw up at 3AM. They have a gas mask on, they aren’t worried about catching anything! They just want to be there for you. They won’t pressure you to eat if you don’t feel well enough but might just bring you breadsticks to keep you going. They’ll borrow a few movies from around the base and watch them with you until you feel better <3. They’d probably end up falling asleep in your room a few times but would wake up anytime you need them.

Demo:

Demo wouldn’t be the best person to go to when you’re unwell. He’d first suggest drinking until you forget about it but would regret telling you to do that when it makes you vomit even more. After that, he’d have to accept that he needs to actually take care of you better, so he’d temporarily try and stop his own drinking to take care of you. He still wouldn’t be great, but he’d check up on you frequently and hold your hair back when you need it! If you’re lucky, he might bring you a newspaper or magazine that he found lying around in the base. He cares about you, he’s just bad at expressing it like this!

Heavy:

Heavy is very motherly when taking care of you. He’ll scold you a bit for getting sick but also make you soup and take your temperature all the time <3. He remembers how his own mother used to take care of him and his siblings and how safe he felt with her and wants you to feel the same way! He will open the windows and let all the cold air in, but he knows that fresh air will make you feel better in the end. He’ll bring you some good books to read and maybe even translate a few of his favourite Russian ones for you! However, he will test you on them afterwards and expect a full analysis of each. Being sick isn’t an excuse for missing the point of the novel.

Engineer:

Sadly, Engineer is similar to Soldier and will drag you outside and make you continue as normal until you genuinely can’t stop vomiting on the floor, then he’ll finally accept that you’re sick. Until then, expect many “you’re being dramatic, you just need exercise.” and “its because you don’t eat healthy enough”. When he finally accepts that you can’t live like this, he’ll visit you in your room and check up on you often (he feels guilty for doubting you before). If you’re lucky, he might even bring you a crossword! He’s not the best at taking care of people but he’ll certainly try! At night, he’ll stay with you until you fall asleep and frequently check on you in the night to make sure you’re still sleeping peacefully. <3 he cares a lot but doesn’t know what he can do to help.

Medic:

Naturally, Medic is one of the best people to be taking care of you when you’re sick. He’ll instantly recognise what’s wrong and take care of you accordingly! Lots of bed rest, you’re not allowed to lift a finger with him around. As long as you’re not contagious, he’ll cuddle with you as well, he knows how awful you’re feeling and wants to make you feel better <3. He’ll bring you lots of water and he will make sure you drink every drop of it. He’ll also sit and chat with you (talk at you until you can’t stay awake) for hours so you never get bored! You’ll definitely recover the fastest in his care.

Sniper:

Sadly, Sniper is rather unsympathetic to begin with as well. He’ll tell you that it’s probably just something you ate and that you’re being dramatic. That is until you throw up in front of him and he realises that he might actually have to take care of you now. He won’t go near you until he’s sure it’s not contagious, then he’ll dare to give you a kiss on the head occasionally whilst bringing you soup. Despite how he acts, he cares a lot and feels bad about being dismissive at first. He’ll let you stay in his van whilst you recover, it’s away from the noise of the base and he wants you to get as much rest as possible. He’ll also hold you close at night, he’s ready to get up at any time if you need to go outside to throw up. <3

Spy:

Spy is probably the worst person to take care of you when you’re sick. If you even mention having a stomach ache around him, he’s instantly moving a few meters away from you. He’ll interrogate Medic until he knows whats wrong with you and will be relieved when he learns that it’s not contagious. Sadly, he’ll still be a bit of an ass about it. He’ll shut you in your room and occasionally poke his head around the door to make sure you’re still alive, shove some water down your throat then move on. He believes that you’ll recover best in your own anyway. He’s distant because he cares!

TF2 MERCS ON A DATE 🤍🕯️🌷

this might be longer cos I love to think ab them on dates (*´∀`*) i also wrote this out and didn’t get to save it bc i accidentally closed tumblr </3

Scout:

Scout would be VERY nervous about asking you out. He would ask around to find out about what kinda food you liked, your favourite flowers, anything he can learn! Scout would rehearse what to say in his room for ages, he’s so scared of sounding like an idiot! He would eventually track you down, shove a bouquet of your favourite flowers at you and awkwardly ask you out on a date.

The date itself would be pretty standard but still sweet! He would find a good restaurant that serves all the foods you like and ask you all kinds of things about yourself throughout the meal. He’d also find himself staring at you a lot, he just thinks you’re so pretty <3! Afterwards the meal, I think he would take you to one of those drive in movie theatres! He would find an old, black and white romance movie to watch with you and maybe even hold your hand a bit :)

After the date, he’d drive you back to your place with his very questionable driving skills. Then, he would nervously ask about a second date and get all excited when you agree to another date! (Its my post and you aren’t allowed to say no). He’d kiss your cheek then speed off back to the base whilst blasting love songs in the car.

Soldier:

This one was a little tough I won’t lie. But I think he’d want to take you to an amusement park! Not for cute romantic moments, but so he can watch you screaming on roller coasters.

He would be fairly straightforward about asking you out, simply approaching you and asking if you would be interested in going on a date with him. If he really likes you, he might bring you a heart cut out of paper as well. He would act pretty nonchalant and unaffected by your response if you said yes, but would go back to his room and do a little victory dance in secret.

The date would be fun for both of you! He would take you to a crappy little amusement park (it has charm ok shh) and drag you to all the most dangerous looking rides. He would definitely have a lot of fun watching you screaming and laughing on the more fast paced, sickening rides. He’d actually probably be looking at you the entire time <3. After you had been on all the rides, he would take you to some American diner and treat you to whatever food you wanted.

Once the date was coming to an end, he would take you back to your house and walk you to the door. He’d actually be pretty nervous but he would give you a quick kiss, invite you out again then salute you before running back to the car before you have a chance to say no.

Pyro:

I think Pyro would be excited to ask you out! They would make sure you had similar feelings first, though, probably testing the waters a bit before actually asking. They would approach you with a stuffed bear and then ask if you wanted to go on a date with them. Once you agree, they’d hug you tightly then get to planning!

I think Pyro would definitely take you to an aquarium, but they’d make sure it wasn’t too busy on the day of the date, maybe even arrange to go there after hours! They would hold your hand the entire time and point to fish that reminded them of you. After a while, when you two are sitting on a bench and watching the fish go by in one of the bigger tanks, Pyro might even take off their gas mask, they trust you enough by now. After you had been around the aquarium, they’d take you to the gift shop and buy you ANYTHING you wanted. They wouldn’t even buy themselves anything, it’s all for you.

At the end of the date, they’d walk you home (gas mask back on </3) and ask if you would like to go on a second date. When you obviously say yes, they’d hug you tightly and give you a kiss on the cheek before waving goodbye and going back to the base.

Demo:

Demo would be pretty nervous to ask you out, especially if he had been drunk around you. I feel like he would be pretty insecure about people he likes seeing him drunk. He would be straightforward about it though, no fancy displays, just a casual “would you wanna go out with me sometime..?” Followed by an “it’s okay if you don’t”. When you actually say yes, he’d be pretty surprised but still very happy! You’d arrange a date, time and place and the date is settled!

For once, Demo would try and be sober for the date, which would be a little distressing for him because of withdrawals but he’s determined to try his best. Besides, he decided that if he gets serious about dating, he wants to get sober. He would take you to the cinema, that way theres no alcohol involved. He would find out what your favourite types of movies are and buy out an entire row of seats so it could just be you two!

After the movie, you two would go to a bar, but he would try his best to stay away from alcohol, so naturally you would too. You two would chat for hours and hours until the bar closed <3.

Heavy:

Heavy would be blunt about it. He probably wouldn’t even plan, he wouldn’t even be nervous, he’d just ask. He might be a little surprised when you actually agree but still happy!

Heavy is a man who keeps it simple, to him, dates are quality time. He wouldn’t bring you to a fancy restaurant, he would bring you to a local bar! He would make sure not to get too drunk, he doesn’t want to make a fool of himself, but much like Demo, you two would spend most of the date talking about your lives and such! After you both decided to leave the bar, Heavy would take you out to a nice area where you two could watch the stars. I like to think that he likes astronomy, so he would tell you about all the stars and planets. A peaceful end to the date!

The date would end with you two watching the stars together, maybe even falling asleep there <3.

Engineer:

Engie wouldn’t bother with anything fancy, he’d just say that he likes you and that you two should go out sometime. Once you agree, he’d simply give a thumbs up and continue with his day.

Similar to Heavy, Engie prefers just having quality time together, he doesn’t see the point in fancy diners or going to the movies. His idea of a date is you sitting in his workshop whilst he works on his sentries. He’s just happy to talk to you! He’ll be asking you all kinds of things about yourself whilst you watch him work. If you’re lucky, he might even let you help him with a couple of the more simple tasks :)

Once it starts to get late, he’ll notice how tired you look and walk you to your place and give you a quick kiss outside of your door. He’ll suggest doing it again sometime then go back to his workshop.

Medic:

Medic is kinda difficult to pin point for me hmmm

I think he would have some weird way of asking you out, like presenting you with a real heart in a jar and hoping you get the hint. When you do get the hint, he’d invite you on a date, arrange a time and then go back to his room.

The date itself would be a private dinner in a restaurant! He keeps things classical, anything else is too informal. Throughout the meal, he would probably ask you a lot of questions about any medical conditions you have, no matter how invasive (it’s romantic to him). He’d also somehow get you to agree to let him do your autopsy when you die! After your dinner together, he would take you to a museum of medical history and teach you all about the various items there, maybe even steal a few for his own collection.

After the date, he’d take you back to your home, kiss the back of your hand and then ask if he can perform surgery on you sometime <3. When you say yes (because who wouldn’t), he’ll kiss your lips then wish you goodnight. :)

Sniper:

Sniper would have to REALLY like you to actually go through with asking you out. He wouldn’t want to just do it anywhere, he’d ask to meet you outside privately. He’d take a moment to get to the point but would eventually get around to asking you out before giving you a look of mild concern when you actually say yes. He didn’t expect it!

For the date, he’d want to do something outdoorsy, of course. He’d take a while to think of something but would eventually decide to take you camping with him. He’d drive his van out into the woods and find a good spot for you two to set up camp together. You decide to split the tasks of setting up and it doesn’t take long for you to finish! As it starts getting late, you both start to get hungry, so the two of you start cooking dinner together whilst talking about your lives! Sniper finds himself getting distracted staring at you a few times, he just loves the way you move and how focused you look on cooking :). Once dinners cooked, you’d both sit outside and eat it under the stars, Sniper might even wrap an arm around you!

After your camping trip, Sniper would drive you home, tell you he had fun and that he’d like to do it again and then zoom away in his van whilst planning more dates for the two of you.

Spy:

Spys a classy man, he wouldn’t be at all nervous to ask you out. He’d ask to meet you in private, present you with roses and ask you to meet him for dinner at some fancy french restaurant. You’d say yes, he’d kiss your hand and walk away. >;3

The date itself would feel very expensive. The wine would be worth your entire rent, the food would be even more. Spy takes pride in paying for all of this, it makes him feel like he’s really treating you to luxury. He’ll ask typical questions about where you grew up, your education and so on but would reveal little to nothing about himself. He doesn’t mind, he’s more interested in learning about you anyway. You two would talk late into the night, staying in the restaurant even after you’ve both finished your meals, he’s just fascinated by you!

After the date, he’d order you a taxi to take you home. Whilst you wait, he would spend that time telling you how much he enjoyed the date, how beautiful you are, ect. He’d then kiss you goodnight and wave goodbye as the taxi drove away.

TF2 MERCS RIDING A SHOPPING CART 🛒

(Also just kinda shopping headcanons •w•)

Scout:

Scout is 100% diving in a shopping cart at the first opportunity, probably during a group food shop or something. He’d find a way to convince Demo to push him full speed down the aisles and end up crashing into a shelf. He would ask to do it again and would be in a bad mood for the rest of the trip when everyone made him get out of the shopping cart. :(

Soldier:

Soldier would only get in a shopping cart if he was challenged to a race. He might even decorate his cart with an American flag! I imagine that him and someone else (probably Scout) found some abandoned shopping carts and decided to race down a hill, the first one to break a bone loses! Soldier would win this race and forever declare it as one of his greatest victories. During shopping trips, he’s probably not getting in the cart, he’s just dumping stuff they don’t need in there then arguing about it.

Pyro:

Pyro regularly sits in the shopping cart during group shopping trips and gets mad when Scout tries to sit in it first. Surprisingly, everyone seems okay with them being in the cart! They’re peaceful and just like watching all the different products go by as they’re pushed around. Of course, they would also sneak a couple things in the cart, which nobody would notice until it’s time to pay.

Demo:

Demo is surprisingly sensible and probably wouldn’t even attempt to get in a shopping cart. The only reason he would be in a cart would be if he was too drunk to stand, then someone would just make him get in the cart as it’s easier than trying to babysit him. Usually, he’s either the one pushing the cart or just putting things in it.

Heavy:

Heavy isn’t even attempting to get in the cart, he knows he would probably break it. He’s okay with this, he sees no reason to get in the cart anyway and is likely the one pushing it. Heavy is definitely the one who invites Pyro into the cart every shopping trip (he knows how much they love it!). He probably also makes Scout leave the cart after about five minutes.

Engie:

DESIGNATED CART PUSHER. He would never get in the cart, he’s too grown up for that. Usually when it’s not Heavy, Engie is pushing the cart and he accepts NO funny business. He won’t let Pyro sit in the cart, but he will let them pick out a few extra items for themself as compensation. If Scout even DARES to try and get in the cart, he’s getting sent back to the van. He’s very straightforward: get the items, pay, leave.

Medic:

Medic probably wouldn’t want to get in the cart, but I can see him sitting in the cart if his legs got tired of walking. Only if Heavy was pushing it, of course. He would be dramatic about it, poses like a dying victorian child and complains the whole time about how it’s not comfortable. Other than that, he’s the one that pushes the cart if Heavy or Engie aren’t available.

Sniper:

Sniper wouldn’t get in the shopping cart. He’s the designated item hunter. If they’re shopping, he’s the one that gets sent to find an item across the store. However, he will occasionally push the cart, thats the only occasion where Scout is allowed in the cart. He’s very sensible about it, though. If Scout wants to be raced around, Snipers saying no.

Spy:

Absolutely no way is this man getting in a shopping cart. He wont even push it, he doesn’t want to give Scout or Pyro the pleasure of a shopping cart ride. He’ll just grumpily stand near whoever is pushing it and read out the shopping list, nothing more than that. He might add a couple extra things if he feels like it.
