There had been an initial tension upon her shoulders, squeezing tight over her muscles as she eased into her room. Step by step, cautious in her approach. 

Something had been off from the moment she’d entered the small space of her home, the subtle differences from when last she’d occupied the space. The differences were easy to pinpoint in part because of how infrequently she stayed here, and the other part because of the control and precision she exercised in all aspects of her life; no change ever went unnoticed. 

A door left ajar, a book overturned–

Alert, already on the defense for any possible attack. That is… until her eyes settled upon an easily recognizable disheveled head of hair as soon as she entered her small room.

        Cobra… 

Memory had picked out the name before recognition fully settled, body relaxing before she realized just why, and with it washing away any further feelings of unease as she surveyed the room for any possible signs of danger.

It seemed…odd, the sight before her. 

For one, she never spoke of her second apartment (one she kept for convenience purposes, its location closer to the castle, and quiet). For two– she’d never had a man in her bed before. Not like this, or any other way.

Inching closer, curious in her own right, she dared make contact, finger trailing a short line over the visible skin just at the back of his neck. A slight stir on his behalf stopped her from letting her curiosity take over and smooth out that messy hair, weave her fingers through it…

She refused to disturb his seemingly sound sleep. Somehow the fact that he’d found this place didn’t concern her; information seemed to be a thing he’d have readily available. It didn’t surprise her.

She would not disturb his sleep, deciding for herself that it’d be best that she find rest somewhere else. Perhaps she could make a trip back to the guild, this place lacking any proper furnishing other than the bare necessities. 

“Rest well, Cobra,” she mouthed, no sound to follow the movement in case it disturb the silence.
