Swan Queen Week - Winter Hiatus 2020

Good day, I was wondering if Swan Queen Week will be happening this year during what would have been the winter hiatus?   Thank you again for arranging this event - it’s a fantastic way to boost creativity among the fandom as well as create more fantastic stories for us to enjoy! Thanks for sending this message. It’s not going to be happening this year. I took some time off last year because of a family tragedy but due to personal health concerns, I can’t do it this winter either. And doing it during the summer tends to interfere with Supernova. 

The truth is, I had help the two years it ran smoothly since I took over. But my partner in crime stepped away. And unless I get some help, I’m afraid there won’t be any more SQ Weeks.

Is there a winter SQW planned?

There was. I was a little late with it because I had started a new job. But it was happening. Then as I was making the graphics for it, my brother called to tell me that our nephew’s other uncle had been shot and killed. So regrettably this is going derail SQW this Winter as I have to work overtime to get the money I need to get back home for the funeral. I will see you all in the spring. And I apologize to anyone that was looking forward to this Winter’s SQW. Cheers,Nick, the SQW Mod

Updates and Annoucements

So, I’ve been working out how to proceed now that the show is over with SQW. I’ve picked up another Mod that really helped out this time so thank you @evilregal-swanqueen.  October 1st we’ll be voting on when to have the Winter and Summer events (ie the First Week of Jan and the Second Week of June, that sort of thing). And these events will be static. I want to work it out so anyone partipating in SQSN can still do this without too much strain. 

Also having both weeks be unchanging will help me with looking for a gif maker for these events.

Just went through your FAQ & it cleared up a question I had regarding participation without having a tumblr profile. I’ve had this fic up since *cough* the last day of SQW but wrote for Day 1: F**k Destiny, I choose you, although there is one instalment left in the 3 part story. Hope it’s not too late to link it to you guys

I’ve seen it twice in the Swan Queen Fanfiction group on Facebook. So I thought I’d say something here about it. 

These artists have taken the time to create some beautiful pieces for our enjoyment. Please give them the credit that they deserve. I’m sure that they want as many people as possible to see their art. But link their tumblrs so fans can find them. 

If you see it in around tumblr or on Facebook, link the tumblrs. But I will ask that you don’t go after the people reposting the art. Perhaps they don’t know. I just wanted to say something because I rather enjoy the art created for Swan Queen Week and I’d like these artists to come back for the next one.

“I’ll try to contain its energy as long as I can,” Regina told Emma.

“It won’t be long, we’ll have the bean soon and then we can get the hell outta here,” Emma replied, wishing to be out of the mines as soon as possible.

Regina hesitated. “Slowing the device… it’s going to require all the strength I have.”

Emma stared at Regina, reading between the lines. “You’re not coming with us, are you?” Regina gazed wordlessly at the blonde. “When you were saying goodbye to Henry… you were saying goodbye.”

They both glanced at the glowing trigger– it’s blue hue mesmerizing.

Regina smiled a small, sad smile. “He knows I love him, doesn’t he?”
