I've been a bit busy these days, and it's not getting better yet. I am travelling for a couple of weeks now, so you might have to wait more.
But the good thing is, we are travelling to some amazing places, sure to inspire the mind.

Hahahaha, this was the most fun I've had in ages!! I loved every minute of it.
And the entertainment credit goes fully to @curse-04 for making it doubly fun!!
Winners Circle and Fun Facts
Last but not least...The Winner's Circle!
First Place with Gold: @lepoltergeist
Second Place with Silver: @vaffyu
Third Place Tied on the Podium with Bronze: @curse-04 and @gin110881
And now! what @curse-04 has patiently been waiting for and is probably close to overdosing on caffeine pills to find out: Why He Broke My Brain
So you see, what we have here in our guessing if you guess one individual author per story without repeating is a very low probability of randomly guessing the correct author. There are 21 stories with 20 authors so essentially a 0.00000000000000000000000005% probabilistic chance of randomly matching an author to a story. Now, our good friend @curse-04 decided to beat those odds by guessing the same author for 8 different fics believing @justalittleconfusing's hype that @vaffyu wrote every story (fun fact: she did not).
So that should have raised @curse-04's chance of guessing @vaffyu as the author of her story significantly. Especially since she gave TWO hints to him. And in fact it did! His chance of guessing her correctly rose to 0.002%. Which given the previous odds...were much better.
Yet somehow our hero beat those odds and GUESSED @VAFFYU wrong! AND came in 3rd for best guessing. How???? To this day I have absolutely no idea. I really tried to make sense of this all day. I was unable to. I literally sat there for an hour in the cafe and did the probability calculations. I have no coherent words. Anyway. Great job @curse-04 for capturing Silver while still having SO MANY WRONG!!! You win the Worst/Best Guesser Award. Somehow. I have no idea.

The Weasley siblings were presented today , what's your thoughts?
Finally someone's asking me these questions - THANK YOU ANON!!
So, first off, I was already SO OBSESSED with the casting of Ron. And now, the rest of the Wealseys... it's literally more perfect than I'd ever imagined. I was soooo worried that they'd screw it up, but these kids are PERFECT!! Literally.
And the way they did the reveal - with a selfie!! Argh, the CUTEST THING EVER!!
The twins look perfectly mischievous, Percy is already giving the big head boy feel.
And Ginny!!!!!!!
Aaaah, I'm so happy with this casting. The girl is adorable! And she looks so much like the rest of the Weasleys. The best thing about this cast reveal is that they LOOK like a family. If they nail Arthur, Bill, and Charlie next (which I think they will), I would die happy.
Also, I need these Weasleys to get their due. Their arcs, personalities, stories better be preserved in the series.

We have a surprise late entry... Written as a gift for Kami-- @ginnyw-potter --our fearless leader (diligent mod, hostess with the mostess, and generous friend) as well as for the Masquerade Fest hosted by Ginny's Trophy Husband discord. My dear friends, this community is one of my favorite spaces online, so as a token of that gratitude, here is one prompt taken from each menu, used in the loosest definition, and updated daily…
The Seven Gems by ?????????
When Ginny secures an invite to one of the most exclusive (and notorious) secret clubs in London, she leaps at the chance to be involved in an Auror Investigation. But as they make their way through the establishment, Harry and Ginny realize things are not exactly as they seem. They learn a few things along the way, about magic, about the mysterious proprietor, and about themselves.

Visit the Gold room and find out who makes Ginny's day a bit brighter...

Ginny had always been determined to win, and there being more prizes than one at the comic con she'd taken her niece to didn't distract her from that goal—only added on to it.

Abstinence of Red Fury updates, take me to rehab immediately ;-;
I wish someone could take ME to a rehab where writing ideas simply flowed, ya know? But no, seriously, I was distracted by my original work for now, but I have worked on the next chapter a bit. Here's a snippet for you to make it till the next chapter drops!
“Six days,” Ginny sighed, stretching her arms above her head. “Six days of potion theory, chess, roasted fish, and watching Ron pretend to be a competent sailor.” She sank into the lumpy mattress on their bed, kicking off her shoes and swinging her slender feet. “I dont know how you’re not going insane.”
“I never said I’m not,” Harry replied. He leaned down to peel off his socks. “Besides, Ron was almost decent today. He only messed up the rigging once.”
“Well, I simply cannot take any more of this—I’d have to be institutionalised,” Ginny exclaimed dramatically. Pulling her stockings off, she stretched and wriggled her toes. Harry found himself closely observing the elegant arch of her feet.
“Shall I take you back to Umbridge, then?” he asked playfully. She threw her head back and laughed, exposing the curve of her neck. Harry imagined running his tongue down the slope, tracing the defined lines of her collar bones and then dipping further and further, underneath her bodice…

Last Lines Tag Game
@ginnyw-potter tagged me to share my last lines. Anyway, this is what I wrote last - “Just thinking about how to beat your brother at chess,” Harry responded, trying his best to sound nonchalant and focusing on undoing the buttons on his shirt. No spoilers, but Harry was definitely NOT thinking about beating Ron at chess. *winky face* I will tag @justalittleconfusing @seriouslysam8 @gin110881 and @fizzyginfizz to keep it going!

I love this thread already, perfectly encapsulates all my frustrations towards the Anti-Hinny crowd.
One thing I might like to add here is this - I personally LOVE that Ginny is not more significant to the plot. That's so unique and refreshing. In most fantasy books, people fall in love with each other while they're fighting evil together or in generally high stakes, high adrenaline situations. With Hinny, it's almost the opposite.
It's so realistic!
Harry falls in love with Ginny not because she serves a purpose in his destiny, but because she presents a possible future to him beyond it. He doesn't love her because she's useful to him. He loves her even though she isn't!
She makes him feel normal, provides a beautiful contrast to the darkness of his life. Ginny is not central to the plot on purpose! That doesn't mean that she isn't fighting in the war, she absolutely is! But she isn't focused on Harry and his own, separate mission.
I hate the argument that Ginny wasn't important in the plot. Because she doesn't need to be! It's on purpose!
She has her own battles to fight. She isn't any less because of it. And Harry loves her not because of her utility in his life, but because he loves HER.
Anti-Hinny arguments that make me angry
Over the last few weeks I got into Harry Potter again and browsed through some posts here on Tumblr; needless to say that lots of them pissed me off big time. I want to list all the arguments against my OTP that I think don’t make too much sense. Sure you are entitled to your own opinion, but man, what’s canon is canon and please refrain from twisting some facts.
It is too predictable / It happened too fast without much build-up
Apparently there are two kinds of anti-Hinny shippers. Some say they don’t ship it because it was way too predictable and it was clear Hinny will be together, the other side of the fandom claims that Hinny happened without much development or without subtle hints. That’s when I wonder: there are the 7 books everyone read; how can people see the same text so differently? I believe we can say lots of things to back up or counter both arguments but there are certain aspects that can’t be ignored.
In my opinion Harry ending up with Hermione would have been a lot more predictable simply because in most love triangle stories the hero gets together with the main girl. Of course Hermione and Harry never had any spark or anything going on between them whatsoever but Rowling could have decided to write the books that way before she even got started. She didn’t though; and I think that makes both Romione and Hinny really unique. It was Ron who got together with the heroine and Harry himself chose someone who is a strong and well-developed character but not that relevant to the plot itself.
I also don’t agree with the other argument; I believe Hinny was always there in a quite subtle way. Since it was really subtle till I would say the 5th (or even 6th) book it’s definitely not predictable but nor does it lacks development. Throughout the story we get to know slowly but surely how much Ginny is exactly the type of woman Harry needs in his life. She is witty, independent, stable and is the only one who is able to pull him out of his occasional bad moods. She knows what it is to be mentally possessed by Voldemort; this is a huge factor that helps them understand each other. All this came to the surface really slowly; I believe Hinny is one of the best developed relationships in the series. The build up until a certain point is really subtle but surely recognizable.
Ginny is just a fangirl
Yes she was a fangirl till her 3rd year or so. She worshiped the “Boy-Who-Lived” and did not see the real Harry. But over the years she definitely grew out of this; she fought for her own happiness and did not wait around. After getting to know him she saw the real Harry and was in love with the boy without the scar. Ginny can keep him grounded, make him feel himself, feel as if he is “just Harry”. I mean… this is the main point of Ginny’s story: having a crush/infatuation –> realizing your happiness depends on you and you alone –> getting over the crush –> actually falling in love for real with the person behind the celebrity mask. If you missed the main aspect of her character then I’m sorry but you need to reread the books.
She does not deserve Harry
Love is not about who deserves who. Love is about feelings; you can’t control who you fall in love with. If Harry loves her and if she makes him happy (we know she does) then why wouldn’t she “deserve” him as you say? Non of them are a trophy; if they are in love they sure as hell should be together and I shall ship them like FedEx. Harry is my favourite character and throughout the series I wished for his happiness. If Ginny makes him happy I will ship them.
Ginny is a mary-sue
While I definitely understand why people would say she is a mary-sue, I don’t think she falls to that category. She is pretty, athletic, witty, independent and popular. Yet I don’t see why being good at things and also being pretty would make anyone a mary-sue? I mean I think that’s pretty much a realistic combination for a girl. She also has flaws that are hard to deal with. She has a terrible temper and is basically a less-obnoxious version of Fred and George; she likes to do pranks and can go over-the-top when she thinks she is only joking. When she is angry she can also say pretty hurtful things to people too.
To be honest I don’t think any of the characters are a mary-sue in the HP series.
Harry fell in love with her because she looks like his mother
This is the anti-hinny argument that makes me the angriest because it makes no sense whatsoever and in my opinion also really offensive. The only thing Ginny and Lily have is common is the red hair but even that one is different. Lily is described as having dark-red hair while Ginny’s is flaming red. How can you even say they look the same just because they both have read hair? I mean it’s the same as saying all Asians look the same just because they have dark-brown/black and straight hair. And even if they would look the same the argument still does not make any sense since Harry didn’t even know his mother. Why would he look for a person he didn’t even know in his potential partner?
If I come across any arguments I don’t really like I will edit this post I guess. If you read this then wow you are a hero for going through all of this text! :) Thank you!

Reminders for fanfic writers who think it “doesn’t count”
✦ Your writing counts. like, a lot. If someone felt something because of what you wrote, then it matters. That scene you almost didn’t post? Yeah. Believe me, someone out there bookmarked it for a reason.
✦ Writing existing characters doesn’t make it “less than.” You’re building arcs, crafting dialogue, emotion, pacing. You’re studying character psychology like a scientist. That’s not “just fanfic,” that’s storytelling.
✦ “but it’s just fanfic” ...no. STOP, it’s craft. It’s understanding tone. It’s hitting emotional beats. It’s layering theme and backstory and prose into something people feel. You’re doing the work, you just don’t get graded on it. (Which, honestly is a blessing.)
✦ Writing fanfic means you love stories enough to live inside them. You care, deeply. You care enough to reimagine, to explore, to add something of yourself to a world you didn’t create and somehow still make it feel brand new.
✦ Someone out there rereads your fic like it’s their favorite book. Maybe they’ve saved a line to their notes app,or they quote it to a friend. Maybe they just think about it when they’re having a bad day. That little fic you almost deleted, it’s comfort now.
✦ Your comments section is real. Every “I needed this” and “this made me cry in a good way” is proof, you don’t need a book deal to matter. You don’t need a publisher to have an impact, because you already do.
FANFIC IS WRITING! Fanfic is yours.
You’re not “just” anything. You’re a writer, own it. Be proud of that.

Welcome to the Hinny Masquerade Ball! We begin our festivities in the Pearl room. Will our author of this delicious fic hide under a raincoat as well as Ginny?
Heart Racing by [redacted]
No court of law could convict him on that alone, but even he had to admit, it looked especially damning that he’d fancied himself half in love with the woman who he’d now been (coincidentally!) stalking for three and a bit weeks.
