The Nue or Japanese Chimera is a really cool monster, at least I think so, it has the head of a monkey, legs of a tiger , torso of a Raccoon dog, and a snake for a tale. It can morph into a black storm cloud or a black plume of smoke and become intangible while in this state if they flat over someones house the can came illness and nightmares. The only way to get rid of one is to shoot it with a flaming arrow that will hit its heart , otherwise it is practically invulnerable to harm due to its cloud state. I also don’t know it its just a monster or a Yokai , please feel free to let me know

(Possibly) Final copy of my Currency art project in 2D Concepts ,
This is a currency based on an effort value system where effort is differentiated into two groups physical and mental ( Red being physical labor and Blue being mental labor) Effort is quantified by acts which are tasks completed that helped at least one person. The 3 Current denominations are 25, 50, & 100 acts. Values are represented in two ways current numerals and roman numerals The size of each bill is based on the 100 being whole and the 25 & 50 bills being pieces that make up 50 or 100 bills.

Tarasques are big heavy ground dragons from English mythology and they are really cool. The have six legs each like a bears limbs a ,spiked tortoise shell , a long scorpion tail, & a lions head with bull horns. There supposed be as big as a house and breath fire. D&D’s version of this thing looks like overgrown mutant Carnotaurus which I personally don’t think compares which the original depiction, but its impressive nonetheless. I also love Alvaro Herranz’s (check his site out the Art is awesome) take on these guys as tiny little turtle monsters there adorable and I want one despite the risk of it growing into a fire breathing death machine. I also think they bear a striking resemblance to Bowser from Nintendo’s Mario franchise maybe thats what King Koopa really is a Tarasque not a turtle.

I tried finding a picture that relates well to what my currency art project is about ,and then I found this and put it up cuz its awesome buts its kinda off point, so essentially the key visual effect of the currency I’m designing is to designate how the currency was earned through physical or mental effort and , each denomination is based on a number of acts what makes an act is still unclear but could be summed up as tasks completed that helped some one else. In essence I’ve created a currency that draws value from hard work and that its exchange is trading effort or favors in exchange for goods and services.... I guess.

The Tatzelwyrm is an old English mythological creature that is half cat and half snake which in itself is terrifying as humans were once hunted by large cats, (some still are) so many are hard wired to be put off by large felines and snakes are a creature we treat as a deadly hazard as many venomous species can kill with a bite. Combining those traits is both awesome an scary at the same time , although I would have to laugh at how silly this thing would look when trying to slither and walk at the same time..

A neat little Segway into what my Currency art project is about, in essence I'm making an effort based currency in which the kind of work ,physical or mental, was done to earn the currency itself. This I thought kinda relates in a funny way to the old expression “ a man is worth his weight in salt” which now would sound odd but in Roman time salt was how workers and soldiers were paid as the material was valuable because of its use at the time, its also where we get the word salary from “salarium” deriving its root from “sal dare” to give salt.

Aspidochelone is greek roughly translated means “shield turtle” which comes close but doesn’t quite hit what this creature is , which is a tortoise,(or whale in some legends) so large and so old that it is capable of supporting island life aboard is back making people think its and island in turn . I always though these were so cool cause its a mobile island that alive but could dive and leave you floating in the ocean at any time.

I forgot the oh so important tags sorry

Aitvaras a true mythological pocket monster its.a Chicken indoors and a dragon outdoors, there known for kinda being jerks as in the case if they like your house they aren’t budging ; they won’t attack you outright they just kinda squat in your house they also have a tendency of stealing gold and bringing it back to your house so… Pros your house always has gold and is safely guarded Cons theres a grumpy size changing chicken/dragon with a fire tail living in you house.
