One of the last projects that I have been working on has been for The Fajita Featival that will be held May 3rd. I was given the opportunity to handle this event on my own. I am thankful for that because I have struggled so much in this. I believe it’s more of a fear thinking I will fail. I had to watch over the finances and had to communicate with important people. Overall, it’s helped me build relationships and confidence! I’m excited to see how the event will turn out!

I wanted to be a bit creative and make a new album on our Facebook page about our employees. I wrote a bit information about them and also wanted to include some humor. I think this will bring a bit more attraction and increase our followers!

For these past two weeks, I have focused on the insights for our Facebook page. I realized how crucial it is to post often on social media and how it helps the business. Our viewers, reactions and total reach overall have increased but I won’t deny that I forget to post. Overall, I am learning to manage my time and schedule with work and school.

This week has been a little tough, with school and work, sometimes it’s hard to balance it all. I’ve been trying to increase our engagement on social media without having to spend a dime. It is a bit difficult and a slower process but it works. I have been trying to post atleast 2 to 3 times a day but as mentioned before sometimes it can be difficult with time. Regardless, I will keep working on imporoving my skills and work.

Even though it’s springbreak, I decided that I would put in some work at the agency. This week consisted of me coordinating meetings with new vendors. Working for an independent agency has so many benifits and has helped me build new relationships and open doors in my profession.

These are a few of our vendors that we work with. This week and the next, I will be learning and engaging with these companies and assimilate the business the have to offer. As one of the top angencies here in Amarillo, I am able to expand my knowledge in the insurnace business and grow in my network.

This week I focused more in growing our social media audience. By so, I created a content marketing plan that provides an outline of our content and explains the businesses we offer. My goal is to double increase our audience and demographic by the end of the semester.

It’s been a busy morning but we got it all done. I have met with some vendorse and informed them about getting on with business with us! It’s been quite the challenge, the majority of these companies are out of town so at times it takes me a while to get a hold on other than that I am grateful to be able to be part of this business!

I believe it’s important to spread an image of a business, I was able to get a hold of a hispanic newspaper and get on with ads to help our business grow. Most of our clientele are hispanics so i though it would be a great idea to partne and It’s a privilage to have been able to work with the AM de Amarillo Newspaper.

Saturday - it’s a good day to have a good day! this is the first week to my internships and so far i’m very excited yet nervous, my maneger has a long list that he wants me to work on.
