Vanity Review: Haul (The Body Shop, Icing, Avon, Hot Topic, Target)

I decided to go shopping today because I haven't gone shopping for myself in a long time! So I bought things I needed/wanted :) Let's start! (If you want reviews on ANY of the things I bought, just let me know through the Ask Box!)

The Body Shop: This really nice man applied their Extra Virgin Minerals Make-up on me and it looked so nice. They had a buy 2 get 1 free deal. I bought the cream foundation (1) and the loose power foundation (2). I also got a blush (3) as well. The foundations were $25 but I don't think that's too terrible. The blush was $16, but I got it for free. I got the foundation shade 002 (Natural Vanilla) and the blush shade in "Golden Pink". The blush is such a pretty pink rose with gold shimmer. I normally don't use blush, but when I saw it on me, it looked great and I had to have it.

Icing: I love going to Icing for their fake nails. I decided to get their brush cleaner (4) and make-up setting spray(5) to try out. I also got a blush brush (6) and fake nails (7)/eyelashes (8). I also picked up a face primer (9) from them to try out.

Hot Topic: I picked up these super cute owl earrings (10). I also got a skull stud earring with an attached ear cuff (11). Super cute. I also got the "Warrant Beauty" Liquid Eyeliner (12) in "Chromeo" which is a shimmery dark silver.

Avon: I only got my favorite face scrub. It was $7 after tax. It's the invigorating face scrub (13).

Target: I went to Target to get some girly necessities. I got a nail file from Revlon that has leopard print (14). My nails break a lot so I needed a new one. I got some fake demi lashes (15). I'm almost out of the square cotton pads (16) I use daily, so I got more of that. Got a new eyelash curler from Revlon (17). It's the "extra curl" one. Red and black, looks really pretty. I picked up my favorite mascara cause I'm all out of the Maybelline Falsies Flared (18). I got the Neutrogena Acne Spot treatment gel (19). It works well for me and it's gentle enough for my skin. I also picked up the Tresemme 24-Hour Body Blow Dry Lotion (20). My hair is always flat so I'm always looking for ways to get volume. It also provides heat protection, which I need. I feel like their regular heat protectant spray doesn't do much for me. And finally, I got a loofah (21) because I need more exfoliation when I shower.

Vanity Review: NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream (Antwerp)

Price: $6 Purchased at: ULTA

This product has become one of my favorites lately.

About the product: It is a unique product that applies on smoothly but it looks matte.

Price: 5/5 I find the product very affordable. It's a general drugstore price.

Pigment: 5/5 I love this color. It's a coraly-pink color. Almost orange.

Application: 4/5 This goes on so smoothly, almost like a lipgloss. Sometimes it does feel a bit too slick, which may seem weird to say, but if you try it you'll know what I mean.

Overall: 4.6/5 I definitely recommend this product for those that want to try a matte lip look but matte lipsticks look dry and flaky on them. I have this problem a lot, but with this lip cream, I can have a matte lip that doesn't look flaky at all.

I LOVE Premier Dead Sea products. They cost a mini fortune, but I haven’t found a better brand for taking care of my face yet! :D

That explains why the sample size was so tiny :) Thank you for your input though. I don't think I'll be able to give the samples much of a review seeing as I'll only use it once. Feel free to submit a review for it if you'd like :)

Vanity Review: X Out Shine Control Oil-Free Mosturizer

Price: Comes free with the purchase of the X Out Acne Treatment $19.95 for a 30-day supply, $39.90 for a 60-day supply

About the product: This is an oil-free face moisturizer that is supposed to help keep the face mattified throughout the day compared to using a regular moisturizer

Price: 3.5/5 I think for the kit price, which I am basing the review off of, only getting two products for that price doesn't seem that great of a deal.

Packaging: 5/5 I like the simple and clean packaging. It comes in a tube. Nothing else to say here

Results: 3.5/5 Again, this will be different for different skin types. I have very oily and acne prone skin. I used this with makeup and without. I only saw a small difference. I did notice that after I had gone to work for 7 hours, my skin wasn't as greasy, but it still was. I also use the Body Shop's Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream, and I feel like the results were the same, if not better than the X Out moisturizer. I can purchase the Body Shop's Day Cream individually, as with this, I can not unless I want to buy the entire kit.

Overall: 4/5 Unless I'm really keen on trying the actual X Out Acne Treatment, I won't really want to buy this product. I already have a similar product. But I may try the kit eventually.

Other Comments: The scent was just a generic cream scent, I know some people dislike the scent, but it isn't a big deal. I just wanted to mention it for those that do care. The consistency is a watery gel substance. It applies lightly and dries fairly quickly.

You read my mind! I actually tried it just this morning before a 7 hour shift at work. I'm going to try it a couple more times before the final opinion :) And as for a co-owner, I am looking for someone who is into the whole beauty scene, like many of us are. Someone who gets excited about a new product they buy and just want to share it with everyone. Because I don't own everything and I only buy things that I want, I can't review everything, and that's where a co-owner would come into play :)

Vanity Review: Update!

Hey there guys! Sorry I haven't said anything for the past few days, I've been busy with other things this weekend. :) A few things to cover:
