So I played the Mass Effect: Legendary Edition for the first time.

I am DEVASTATED.

The last time I cried this hard for a game was DA Veilguard, specifically for the Fade prison sequence. If you know, you know😭

So shoutout to BioWare, I guess, for making me feel genuine loss for characters I grew intensely attached to.

But truly though, what a fucking great experience. I probably won’t ever play again, and not because I didn’t enjoy every second of it, but because I need at least 13 years to recover from that.

I knew two spoilers going in (because be for real this game is over a decade old)

Can we talk about how devastatingly sad Lenore's abandoned wizard tower in the Underdark is?

She was so lonely, yearning for a lost love due to a mistake made. She created automatons to act as companions. She owned a dog.

Outside the tower, in the little alcove on the left hand side, you can find a letter she's written to her love, caving and apologizing for her mistake and asking for them to wait for her. Then you read further to see that her lover wrote a return note on the same sheet of paper that said they came and that they waited for ages, but she never came. Likely, she died before she could return.

The whole tower is a woman gone mad with loneliness. I can't help but see Lenore as a parallel to how Gale might have been without Tara or his mother after Mystra cast him aside.

I am in love with how in love astarion is with gale in all your fics, and I just had to ask: have you seen the anime cherry magic? it's about a guy (adachi) developing telepathy and finding out his coworker (kurosawa) has been in love with him the whole time by accidentally listening in to kurosawa's thoughts? the way kurosawa just falls into a stream of "oh my god i love him so much he's so cute so pretty so adorable" it reminds me of astarion's streams of consciousness in your fics! so I thought maybe you'd like to see cherry magic yourself hehehe that's all!!
