I like reading y'alls positive reviews of this season but I've started to think "Am I the only one who felt like a stranger to this show"

Just my feelings but it didn't feel like the previous seasons to me. The first few episodes were fine but then, I don't know man, the characters felt strange, the dinosaurs felt strange, the theme was mostly dark (of course, when there's a manupulative dad, killer robots and huge and scary dinosaurs being controlled by mean rich people thing going on haha) and it mostly made me feel uneasy.

The show generally gives you that feeling, it has to, it's kind of a thriller, right? Not much sunshine and rainbows.

But there were a lot of moments I felt warmth inside. (Like the FRICKING monorail scene!)

That only happened in this season when watching Yaz and Ben talk about Yaz's feelings for Sammy. And it's because of Ben, mostly. Since he gives good advice but that's the only time Ben felt like Ben to me too.

That, and when Bumpy stopped right before she was about to hit Ben. And when Bumpy saved Ben at some point by the end of the season.

It was fine, still. We LOVED Yasammy being official and Big Eatie not being dead and Kon going away and Darius's family adopting Kenji, all that great stuff with my sister.

But we SNORTED when we saw their older versions honestly. We paused the video and looked at each other for a second. And we promised each other never to talk about it again. It felt that bad.

I know, aging characters up might not be as easy as I think but... Okay, promise not to get mad at me if you liked the designs so much:

-Darius looks like they put his head on Bran's body.

-Kenji didn't change at all (other than the hair?)

(Which is acceptable I guess since it hasn't been that long)

-Bran DIDN't change at all which is... odd?

-Sammy just looks like someone messed with her hair after they came back home, and not much like years passed

-Yasmina... She looks too different. I don't know. I guess she had make up on? People can look really different when they put on make up, I'm aware but like... Just seemed a little too different to me. Like she's a totally different character.

-Brooklyn. Short hair looks cool. No much change other than that.

(Is she making mystery-solving videos now? Why was she talking in that voice?)

-Ben. Boi what did they do to you :/

Ogay, question:

I'd already seen too many spoilers, not as spoiler spoilers but I watched all those clips they released and I know that Yasammy is canon and we'll see their older versions.

So. Should I ruin it for myself and enjoy watching my sister do that :O face while watching the show as I wear an all-knowing god-like immortal creature look or should I block season 5 related tags / don't look at tumblr and join her?

So um. The new season. It just dropped here where I live, I guess a little later than most of y'all because of time zones or whatever.

Anyway. So we sat down with my sister, both super excited to watch the new season.

We normally watch it from the kids account since that's the account we first found and watched the series from.

Right. And then what happened?

We couldn't find it. There was this Jurassic World Lego series but not JWCC???

Then a voice somewhere whispered a thought really disturbing into my ear and I tried searching for it on my account (which is full catalog)

And...

Well, we found it, watched the first few episodes but I just don't get one thing.

Why is it 18+ ? Is it the same with everyone else?

I first thought maybe it's because some of the dinosaur scenes but wasn't it the same with the first 4 seasons? Why was it 13+ and in the kids section then? What the fork?

But uhh take a look at this, it still says it's 13+ when you click on one of the episodes so...

Oh boy. Please comment and tell me it's the same with y'all. Or there's a problem.

It'a that this made me suspicious because of a public corporation called RTÜK ("Radio and Television Supreme Council") in my country and they have the right to monitore, regulate and sanction radio and television broadcasts and they're really... homophobic.

So I just thought maybe it's because they watched and thought Yasammy would turn kids gay or sth? 😐

Actually, WE'VE (meaning, my 12 yo sister and I) always thought to ourselves literally why nobody helped Darius pull Ben back in the S1 monorail scene?

Like. What's stopping you? Are y'all all in shock? You can't move your damn asses one step ahead or something?

Let's say that's the deal. It might happen sometimes but what about this kid?

I mean the scene should've taken at least 2 or 3 minutes, how long does it take these kids to get back to their minds and help rescue their friend?

Darius: We can't disturb the natural cycle, not touching it.

Brooklyn: We're in an island surrounded by creatures that went extinct thousands of years ago dingo! What cycle are you even talking about?

*meanwhile, the beetle eats the ant and they watch Ben grab a handful of the beetles, stuffing them into his mouth*
