Parenting Headcanon

Vegeta’s “improve in your training and get rewards” parenting has resulted in Trunks being a very proud and driven boy. However, the lack of discipline and his own attitude rubbing off on his son results in... well, the difference between young Trunks and the one from the future.

This is at least partially because Vegeta finds the concept of spanking completely nonsensical.
