Hazbin Hotel- Velvette x Odette- Guess I don’t have a choice, all because I liked a girl.
Chapter 7: Late Night Talks
"Ughhhhhhh!" Velvette groaned. She was one hundred percent wasted and questioning all her life choices.
Everything had been going so good. She had fucking made out with Odette, for hell's sake. But then she messed up. She didn't know what she did. But she knew it must've been horrible for Odette to run away in the middle of them making out.
Velvette hated being this unsure of what to do. She had always been amazing at dates, hookups, situationships, and anything else romance-related. But for some reason, this was entirely different. Maybe it's because she's never felt this way. What was even the right word, love? No, it was wayyy too soon for the l word. She doesn't even do love. Never did and never will. If you love someone, they have all the power. And every single time, they will use your feelings to use you. But somehow, deep down, Velvette still wanted to risk it all for Odette.
But even if Velvette wanted to get to the l word, that was out of the question. Because she still had no idea what she did to fuck up everything. So, she did the only logical thing you could do in that situation. Drink your feelings away.
—
Crash! Velvette threw a bottle at the bar's wall and was getting ready to throw another when she felt a hand around her wrist.
"W..ha.t th...e f...uc..k," she started to yell. Looking around to find who dared stop her, Velvette noticed that the club had emptied entirely except for Vox and Valentino, who were somehow there and dared to try and stop her.
"Damn Voxxy, your right; she is wasted." Valentino cooed, "A few more drinks, and I bet she might even sell her soul to you."
"Not now, Val!" Vox snapped. "What the fuck are you doing Vel! Do you know what this does for our image? Drinking an entire bar out! We are meant to be the model of perfection, and you are acting like this doesn't exactly scream perfection!"
"Fu..c.k you..u Vo…ox!" Velvette stuttered out.
All the alcohol was starting to get to Vel now. After all, everything was spinning. Velvette could hardly even think straight. Or sit straight, but she was done with all this berating from Vox, so she went to stand up, only for her feet to give out and the room to go completely black.
—
Her head was pounding. So she threw her head back further into her soft pillow. Hoping to drown out all the lights and sounds of the club. Wait club? Suddenly, Velvette rolled over in the soft cushion that clearly couldn't be a club. Then she discovered she wasn't in the club but back in her bed at the Vee's tower. With the pink lights dimmed and her pillows fluffed, they were practically begging her to fall back asleep, which was precisely what she was going to do until she heard a gentle "Nuh, uh. Don't go back to sleep yet, darling".
Deciding to finally face the music, Velvette looked right into the screen face of Vox, which had been dimmed considerably to not irritate Velvette's eyes.
"What happened?" Velvette muttered.
"You had quite a fall, doll; all those drinks finally caught up with you," Valentino cooed, spinning in Vel's chair to face her.
"What he means to say is you have a concussion, Velvette." Vox stated matter of factly, then added, "Also, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have snapped at you at first. You obviously weren't ok. I know you never get that blackout drunk unless something is seriously wrong."
Velvette blinked, once than twice, not believing her ears. "You're sorry, Vox. You. Sorry. Damn, I must have a concussion if I just heard that. right"
"Well, you did hear that right. I'm really sorry for yelling at you. What's wrong, though, Vel?" Vox added, softness carefully being added to his tone.
"Oh, you know it's nothing…" Velvette added. Looking down carefully to avoid Vox's gaze. He could always see through her lying. He had since the moment he picked her up from the streets of hell.
"Is it about that cute blond, doll?" Valentino added, smirking slightly to himself.
"Odette!" Velvette snapped, gleaming to attention, "What, no?" she added a second too late, trying to disguise her accidentally letting on too much.
"Ah, that's who it is. The Carmine chick. I knew she looked familiar," Vox added, finally putting the pieces of what happened together.
"You normally don't have problems with girls' dolls; what's the issue?" Valentino questions, looking at Vel with all the confusion in hell.
Looking at both of them, Velvette noticed the concern and care in their gazes, so she finally decided to tell them everything. After all, they were the closest thing she had to family in hell.
"So," Vel started, "Odette. I don't know. At the last overlord meeting, she stood up for me. Then, I don't know, I couldn't get her out of my head. Everything about her, from her glasses to her hair to the way she tries not to laugh during the meetings. Ugh, it's so stupid!"
"Well, what's the problem so far?" Vox inquired.
So Velvette added, "The problem is seriously fucked up, and I don't even know what I did wrong. I might have stalked Odette and found out what club she was at. Then we flirted a little and started making out."
"Oo," Val interrupted, "How was it?"
"Well," Vel started, "I was goddamn amazing! It was probably the best kiss I've ever had, but then right in the middle of it, she fucking ran away! Like what did I do wrong!"
"Uggh," she groaned, "Why can't this be fucking easy!"
"Well, I know a way it could be," Val prompted. Sliding a bottle out of his jacket, then placing it into Velvette's hand, he whispered to her, "This is all you'll need, doll. You know what to do. Then she'll be all yours."
"But," Velvette stuttered, hesitantly adding, "I want her to really like me. Besides, what if she gets hurt or it doesn't work."
"Aww, darling," Vox added, "But what if you don't give her this and she never talks to you again. You wouldn't want to lose her like that doll, would you? You want Odette to be yours. Besides, doll, you made this potion, so there's no way it won't work. And it'll help us soooo much."
"I still don't know," Vel said, looking confused, then adding, "What do you mean it'll help you guys though?"
"Well darling," Vox added, "Carmilla Carmine. We both want to get rid of her right."
"Duh, that old geezer sucks," Velvette quickly spat out.
"And who would know her weak spots?" Vox added.
"O..dette," Velvette responded.
"Exactly Velvette!" Vox stated, "And if we get rid of Carmilla. She absolutely hates you; there's no way in hell she'd let you be with her daughter. If you really want Odette, you'll have to get rid of her."
"Do you really think Carmilla would keep me away from Odette?" Velvette licked her lips, contemplating, "But I still don't know why we need the potion. I think she still likes me."
"Aww doll, that's sweet and delusional," Val added, "Carmilla obviously is going to keep you away from Odette. And besides, if you want to get rid of Carmilla, are you sure Odette loves you enough to betray her mom?"
"Don't you want to be certain, Vel?" Vox asked.
"Do it for us, Vel," they both pleaded.
They both looked at her with such hope in their eyes. There was really only one thing to do. Odette would forgive her later. Right? Velvette grabbed her phone and texted, "Hey, 2 o'clock coffee on me. Meet me here, Carmine". It would all be ok; she would get rid of Carmilla and then get Odette. All it would take is a little bit of potion.

Hazbin Hotel- Velvette x Odette- Guess I don’t have a choice, all because I liked a girl.
Chapter 6: The Talk
“Mamá!” Odette stuttered. It shouldn’t have been possible. Clara had dragged Odette out tonight because their mother was going to be busy until tomorrow morning working on some new weapons deal.
“Ma..má?” Clara repeated. Doubt and drunkness edged into her voice. Almost as if she thought she was seeing an illusion. She must’ve also realized that their mother should absolutely not be here right now.
However, instead of getting any answers, all they got in return from Carmilla was a look of grim disapproval.
Finally, after what seemed like ages of staring, Carmilla finally spoke, but in a tone that instantly made you want to run for your lives, “Where were you, girls.”
Fuck. Fuck. What did Odette tell her? They were actually at one of the most popular nightclubs in the Vees district that, they weren’t supposed to be anywhere near. Odette was spared the shame of answering when Clara saved her ass by sputtering out, “W..e, we..r.e, ou.t, doi..n..g, d..e.li.vie.r..ie..s.”
The only shame. Carmilla wasn’t a complete and utter idiot who would fall for that. So instead of saying something like, ‘Oh my gosh, girls, I’m so glad you were working so hard,’ they had to deal with an eyebrow tilted down paired with the most utterly disbelieving look ever.
“Really?” Carmilla drawled. “That’s the best you can come up with. You are legit both are in tight black dresses and obviously drunk! I would at least expect you two to come up with a halfway decent lie. Obviously, the two of you haven’t picked up enough from me!”
Now, this was the time they were supposed to come clean. But instead, of course, Clara decided to try again. She spluttered out, “Z..e.sti..a.l!”
“Try again,” Zestial said. Emerging from the shadows so abruptly, both Carmine sisters shrieked at the top of their lungs.
“Girls, quiet down. It’s late.” Carmilla drawled.
But the girls were too drunk to react properly. So, in their fight or flight responses. Clara ended up freezing like a deer in headlights. And Odette threw a dagger off the wall straight at Zestial, which thankfully missed.
“Zestial, leave, please.” Carmilla requested.
“Of course, old friend,” Zestial said, returning into the shadows from once he came.
“What the hell was he doing here!” Odette shrieked.
“He was here helping me look for you two!” Carmilla shrieked back. Then she added, “Do you know how worried I was when I got home early. I was preparing to have a fun night with my girls, only to realize they were goddamn missing! Missing! Do you know how many people in hell want to hurt you two! Thousands! I’ve seen the fucking lists!”
“Don’t worry, mamá, we were just at a club,” Odette tried to comfort.
“A club. Where!?” Carmilla followed up.
And, of course, that was when Clara came in, finally sobering up but still worsening the situation. “Just some club called like Consent.”
But the specification didn’t seem to make anything better. In fact, it seemed to make it worse, “Consent!” Their mother shrieked, “That is in the Vees area. What would you have done if you had run into any of them? Who knows what Vox, Valentino, or Velvette would have done to you!”
“Oh, I know exactly what they’d do,” Clara said mischievously, looking both accomplished and disgusted at the same time.
Suddenly, the room turned deathly chilly, and their mother became cool as ice, calmly stating, “Clara Carmine, what do you mean by that.”
“Nothing..” Clara tried. But it had gone too far. And their mamá was too angry right now, so Clara blurted out, “Velvette was making out with Odette!”
“What?!” Carmilla yelled.
Suddenly the last bit of self-preservation came in, and Odette blurted out, “What the fuck! Of course not!”
“Odette, explain now!” Carmilla commanded, “I want the truth.”
But Odette knew the truth was the one thing she couldn’t give her mother. Because all the truth would do is hurt Velvette. So Odette did the one thing she was awful at, lie. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. There’s no way I’d make out with Velvette. I mean, I would, but she would never make out with me. Besides, you were tots drunk, Clara; the girl I was making out with barely even looked like Velvette!”
And somehow, with Velvette’s life in the balance, the lie was actually believable. So much so that their mom looked halfway convinced.
Of course, that was when Clara decided to interrupt, “I know what I saw; I’m not drunk…”. But before she could finish, she spilled her guts onto the entire carpet. This seemed to be all the proof their mother needed because Carmilla then went over and stroked Odette’s hair and said, “For one thing, I’m pissed. Both of you need to tell me where you’re going before you leave.” but then her eyes softened. She smiled and added, “But I’m so glad Odette that you are moving on and aren’t hung up on Velvette anymore.” Then she kissed Odette on the forehead and said, “I’m so proud of you.” She left the room. Still, on her way out, she said, “Also, you girls are replacing that rug, and you guys are going to get punished in the morning when you’re not so drunk.”
Then she left the room, leaving Clara and Odette alone.
“I know what I saw.” Clara said, “And I’m going to keep Velvette as far away from you as possible! She isn’t good for you!” And with that, Clara left the room, leaving Odette alone with her thoughts.
Somehow, though, even after everything that happened, Odette could still go to sleep. She was interrupted, though, by her phone vibrating.
Glancing over at the time that said 4 am, Odette groaned, “Ugh, who the fuck is up so early!!”
But all Odette’s groans went away when she noticed the alert from Simstagram on top of the over 30 missed calls from Carmilla. Heart racing, Odette clicked on it.
It opened up, revealing the one profile Odette had longed to see, Velette. Followed up with a simple location and text that said “Hey, 2 o’clock coffee on me. Meet me here, Carmine.”

Hazbin Hotel- Velvette x Odette- Guess I don’t have a choice, all because I liked a girl.
Chapter 5: Welcome Home
Fuck. Fuck. Fucccckk.
Why did she do that! She was supposed to stay away from Velvette, not have an intense make-out session with her.
God, everything was spinning. And she was way too hot. Not to mention her heart thumping a million miles an hour. Or her panting that was faster than the time her family was being chased by exorcists.
But, no, this was salvagable. She could fix this, right?
She had just kissed Velvette. Nothing else happened. Just one small kiss with Velvette. It meant nothing. It had to mean nothing.
If only it could be nothing. It was, in fact, the most intoxicating kiss Odette had ever had. Not to mention, it was with Velvette. Who Odette had liked forever. Who Odette thought there was no chance in hell she would ever kiss her. I mean, Velvette was an overlord, for hell's sake. And Odette, she was just the daughter of an overlord. She had no power of her own. There was absolutely no reason Velvette would've kissed her out of her own desire. There had to be some underlying motive. Her mom was right. Velvette was probably just using her. Right?
And it was horrible. Now that Odette finally got to taste Velvette, nothing else would ever be enough to compare it to. Not to mention the desire for more. And to keep going.
She could have kept going. She would have if not for Clara.
Odette needed to get in some air between the kisses, which led her to open her eyes briefly. But it was still enough time to make direct eye contact with Clara and see her horrified face. After that, Odette's instincts had taken over, getting her as far as the club as possible.
The only problem, Clara was running right behind her, trying to catch her. But there was no way in hell that was going to happen. So that is how Odette ended up here, running for her life, hoping to lock herself in her room rather than talk to Clara.
The only positive aspect of this situation was that since Clara chased her, Odette knew she hadn't tried to kill Velvette. Hopefully?
Usually, Odette would've told Clara everything about the night. And everything she thought about who she liked. But about Velvette, that changed everything.
Clara hated Velvette with a passion. So much so that Clara made an entire date board dedicated to Velvette. And that one time, Clara noticed that Odette had stared at Velvette a bit too long at an overlord meeting. Then Clara's hatred for Velvette had gotten ten times worse.
Odette never really had gotten to confess to Clara what she actually felt for Velvette. But that was because the one time Odette finally got the courage to say something, Clara ranted about how Velvette would hurt Odette just to get to their mamá. It hurt, but Odette knew Clara was only doing it because she was overprotective as fuck. It still hurt, though.
But now that Clara had seen her and Velvette making out. Odette was terrified that Clara would try to rat Velvette out to their mom. Who would one hundred percent make good on her threat to murder Velvette. With Clara, who would absolutely love to help her.
It didn't matter to both of them that Odette was an adult who could make her own decisions. And that she had chosen to kiss Velvette. No to her mamá and Clara, who thought she would always need protection.
No matter what happened to Velvette, it would be her fault. She should have stayed away. She needed to. God, she was so dumb.
But now was not the time to think about that. Odette had finally made it back home. Now, all she had to do was sneak in and rush to her room without Clara catching her. She knew she had to talk with Clara, but she was going to put that off for as long as possible.
So she creaked open the window she and Clara had sneaked out earlier with. But a shit ton of alcohol and nerves do things to people. So what should have been a quiet sneak through a window was a full-on fall into one of her mamá's favorite vases.
Crap, she was so screwed! Quickly, Odette looked around, checking for any signs of her mother, but to her utter surprise and glee, she was gone! Carmilla was nowhere in sight. So Odette carefully went to her room and jumped into bed, finally relaxing after such a long day.
But, of course, Clara didn't give up that easily. So Clara swung open the door screaming, "Odette, stop running, we need to fucking talk!"
Flick!
Sitting in a chair across from her bed, Carmilla said, "Welcome home, girls. What exactly do we need to talk about?"

Hazbin Hotel- Velvette x Odette- Guess I don’t have a choice, all because I liked a girl.
Chapter 4: Their First ‘Talk’
Odette immediately spit out her entire drink. And she also couldn't stop coughing, "God, Velvette, what the actual fuck are you doing here."
But instead of saying something even remotely intelligent, Velvette slowly checked Odette out, stopping extra long in certain places. To top it off, Velvette had the biggest fucking grin Odette had ever seen.
"I don't know. Why do you think princess? " Velvette taunted. Her grin turned even bigger than Odette would've thought was possible. And Velvette's eyes, Odette, didn't miss how they gleamed with something dark and seemed stuck on her lips.
Her lips. Wait! What the actual fuck? Velvette! There was no way Velvette was actually looking at her lips. And that answer, god, Velvette was obviously just deflecting. Her mamá was right. Velvette was probably just there to get information from Clara and her.
Although if this was Velvette's way of interrogating people, Odette didn't mind.
Suddenly, Odette realized what she had missed. And made her face turn a complete shade of red. " Princess ! Velvette, what in the actual hell!"
Yep. Odette was done. Velvette had finally struck her last nerve. She was probably spying on her. And she was mocking her with princess , for god's sake. Odette wanted to punch her. Then, yell at her again. And finally, kiss her.
No. Not kiss Velvette. Odette would never kiss Velvette.
Odette couldn't. No matter how infuriating and beautiful Velvette was. And god, so arrogant that Odette just wanted to shut her up with a kiss. But no, she could never. Would never for both their sakes.
—
God, Odette was so freaking beautiful. And blushing. Velvette didn't even someone could blush that hard. It was so bloody adorable.
Velvette had been at the club for thirty minutes before finally getting enough courage to buy Odette a drink.
Odette was mesmerizing; I mean, sure, she was just sulking and drinking enough alcohol to knock out any average person. Still, Odette seemed to have a bloody good tolerance.
And Odette drinking. The way her hands moved. God, the places Velvette's mind went.
God. It was pathetic how anything Odette did seemed to drive Velvette obsessive. I mean, paying attention to someone drinking?! Velvette never would have done that before. And now? What was happening to her? Bloody hell, how bad would this be if Odette finally gave her attention?
And after Odette drank the drink, Velvette had ordered. Odette had fucking moaned. It made Velvette feel like her entire body was on fire. And it ignited something deep inside of her.
God, she needed more. So she talked to her.
And to hear Odette talk to her. Even if Odette was yelling at her. It was amazing. Her name coming out of Odette's mouth sounded like a prayer. And god, Velvette would go on her knees and beg Odette to say it again. And she needed more than just her name. She needed to know Odette's dreams, passions and hopes. Velvette wanted to know every single thing about Odette. And she needed to open herself up to Odette, too. It was too early for these feelings, this longing, but it just felt so right.
And that's not even talking about Odette's attractiveness. I mean, far away, she looked stunning. But up close, she was so breathtaking that Velvette couldn't keep her eyes off every curve the dress highlighted.
To be here with Odette after dreaming about her for the past two days was a miracle. So much so that she couldn't help but get the shit-eating grin off of her face. Or the nickname that came out.
God, her eyes went to Odette's blush again. But then they seemed to be pulled down to Odette's lips. Odette's soft, lush, plump, beautiful lips that Velvette wanted to kiss more than anything else.
"Velvette!" Odette screeched.
Right, what was Odette saying? Velvette had gotten so lost on Odette's lips that she hadn't been able to focus on what Odette had been saying. Maybe some question about why she was here? Just then, something caught her attention.
"Is that my dress!" Velvette exclaimed.
"What!? No!!" Odette tried to say. But she really was a terrible liar. Her blush deepened so much that even her neck became bright red.
Odette then tried to make up some excuse, but all Velvette could focus on was her dress on Odette. Her work on Odette. Did she like it? I mean, she must've if she had worn it. And how it looked on Odette. Bloody hell, Velvette's imaginings hadn't done Odette justice. Odette, in her dress, was perfection.
Suddenly, she couldn't stop herself from interrupting Odette, "Do you like it?" Velvette asked nervously. Velvette cursed herself for letting her worries creep into her voice. But she couldn't stop it, no matter how much she tried.
Finally, Odette stammered slightly, "Well, as much as I would love to say no. That's a lie. I hate to admit it, but this is probably one of the best dresses I have ever worn."
"Velvette! Are you ok! Are you crying!?" Odette asked quickly, rushing to her side. There was so much worry and something else clouding Odette's vision.
No, she wasn't crying. She didn't cry. It was stupid. It really was. But Odette's approval had caused her face to burn hotter than it ever had before. And her eyes, god, she tried to wipe the tears before Odette thought she was some weakling, but Odette stopped her.
Odette had grabbed Velvette's hand with her one hand. And her other was gently wiping the tears from Velvette's eyes. And she was murmuring, "It's ok" to Velvette.
They stayed like that for several moments until Velvette noticed that Odette's eyes had switched from her eyes to her lips. Her lips! She was inching a little forward, but Velvette was too stunned to move. Then, abruptly, Odette took a step back, quickly muttering a quick sorry.
No. No. No. Velvette was not going to miss this opportunity. She quickly moved forward, grabbing Odette's arm and moving Odette to face her. Then she saw Odette's face. Some soft tears were coming down her face. Odette tried to angle her face away, but with her other hand, Velvette moved Odette's face back to face hers.
She wanted, no needed, to kiss Odette.
So, fuck it, she was going to do it. But first, she grabbed onto Odette's face tighter and slowly licked away each of Odette's tears one by one.
Odette blushed furiously but finally stammered, "Leave me alone, Velvette! Don't mock me with your stupid games!"
"Games!?" Velvette panted, "This isn't a game!"
That was it. Velvette's patience had finally snapped. So she brought her lips to Odette's and finally kissed her.
It started out slow and hesitant. Then Odette quickly pulled away.
Velvette was crushed, but then she heard Odette murmuring a "fuck it." And came back in and kissed Velvette with twice as much passion as before
No, kiss wasn't the right word, but devour was. This time, the kiss was deep, hungry, and desperate. The two of them were clinging to each other for dear life like it was their only chance.
It was not sweet and gentle. It was rough and needy. It was Earth-shattering.
Odette had tilted Velvette's word on her axis. And if this is what it led to. She would throw everything away just for one more second of kissing her.
And the taste of Odette. Odette was sweet and delicious. And her mouth was so welcoming. Gladly challenging each of Velvette's kisses and deepening them further.
God, she wasn't a princess ; she was a cupcake . Sweet and delicious.
They were in their own world. Time had seemed to stop. Velvette had no clue how much time had passed. And it was perfect until Odette tightened up abruptly and pushed Velvette away. Then ran. Literally ran away from her out the door.
What had she done wrong???

Hazbin Hotel- Velvette x Odette- Guess I don’t have a choice, all because I liked a girl.
Chapter 3: A Little Stalking Does a Lot of Good
It had been two days. Two long, utterly exhausting days. Odette was losing her mind. In order to stay away from Velvette, Odette had tried to cut off everything related to her. So, Odette hadn't checked Velvette's Sinstagram in two days. And, she had tried to keep Velvette out of her mind but to utter failure.
Velvette was all Odette could think about. During training, Odette was so focused on Velvette that her mamá handed her ass to her. On deliveries, she couldn't focus on anything, which made her completely fuck up some loan shark's order. God, how was Odette supposed to go on when Velvette was all she could think about.
Suddenly, her door burst open, with Clara rushing in and throwing a dress at her.
Suddenly, Clara announced, "Throw that on; we're going clubbing! I'm done with you mopping around about fucking Velvette of all sinners. It's been two days. That's too long. So now, let's go out, get drunk, and have a good time!"
"But," Odette tried
"No, buts! We're going!" Clara stated.
"Fine," Odette reluctantly gave in.
—
Vevette knew she had to do something. It had only been two days, yet all she could think of was smart, adorable, brave, stunning Odette. It was like her brain was on a loop, thinking of every moment she had ever seen Odette. Sure, it kept repeating when Odette had defended her. But it had also repeated all the overlord meetings, where Odette was sitting on the side and being her adorable self. God, Velvette was the dumbest sinner ever to not have noticed Odette sooner. From the grins she and Clara would make at each other during meetings to the looks of disgust Odette made after some overlord said something stupid. God, it was impossible not to think of Odette.
Even Vox and Val were starting to question what was wrong with her. And that was saying something because usually, those two never noticed anything with their tongues being down each other's throats all of the time. But no, she had been so obvious. She had messed up all her different shows in the past two days, which was saying something because she could typically do those shows in her sleep. But no, on half of them, she had recently put together the most god-awful outfits hell had ever seen. Half of Simstagram was still mocking her. God, she hoped Odette hadn't seen her major fuck ups.
The only outfits she was able to design were for Odette. God, she couldn't stop herself from starting countless designs and imagining how they would all look on Odette. The dresses were all beautiful, but nothing compared to how radiant Odette would be in them. God, she wanted Odette to see them so bad. Odette's opinion of her work would make or break her. Velvette had always been confident in her work. Still, one negative word from Odette was all she would need to retire from fashion forever.
God, no one's opinions had ever mattered this much to her before.
So, after extensive thought, Velvette had concluded that there was absolutely no way she could wait until the next overlord meeting to see Odette again. God, these two days had driven her crazy with want, longing, and desire. She couldn't even imagine what a few more days of waiting would do to her. God, she would die without Odette.
So, Velvette did the only thing any reasonable sinner would do. She stalked Odette.
—
Clara had dragged Odette to Consent two hours ago.
Odette was miserable. She was bored and uninterested in anyone trying to hook up with her. The only thing good about her night was the drinks. It was sweet that Clara was trying to cheer her up, but right now, all Odette wanted to do was feel miserable. Luckily for her, Clara met someone 30 minutes after they came here, and Odette finally got her off her back. The only other thing she had gotten from this night was an ego boost. So many sinners were into her tonight, and she knew why. She looked fucking hot tonight.
Odette was wearing the black dress Clara threw at her. Words couldn't describe it. It was the most stunning outfit she had ever worn in her life. The material was soft and hugged every one of her curves perfectly. It made her look like a goddess. It was obvious, though, why the dress was so good. And it was evident Clara had no clue because if she had known, she would have never given it to Odette. So why was this the most stunning dress she had ever worn? Velvette had made it.
It gave Odette a small comfort in a sick and twisted sort of way. The dress made her feel like Velvette was with her, holding her and touching every one of her curves. It was wrong; she needed to stay away from Velvette. But she still needed some part of Velvette with her.
Suddenly, her shoulder was tapped. Odette looked up and saw it was a bartender.
"Excuse me, miss, but I was told to give this drink to you," he said.
"Ok," Odette said, quickly accepting the drink. It didn't look drugged. It was beautiful with different layers of alcohol; it had vibrant reds with varying shades of black mixed in with it. And god, it was good. It was so good, in fact, that Odette couldn't stop herself from letting out a soft moan.
A satisfied chuckle came from behind her. "Glad you like it." That voice, god, it was Velvette.

Hazbin Hotel- Velvette x Odette- Guess I don’t have a choice, all because I liked a girl.
Chapter 2: A Longtime Crush
Odette had liked Velvette for years.
It had started out small. Odette wouldn't have even called it a crush; it was more like a fascination. When Velvette entered a room, Odette was aware of Velvette's outfit and the perfume she had on. Later, it all went downhill, with her crush intensifying. At every overlord meeting, she seemed to hang on to every one of Velvette's words. She seemed to be under a spell. For a bit, she even thought Velvette drugged her. But no, a drug didn't make her unable to start her day without checking Velvette's posts; no, feelings did.
Looking back on it, her confidence is what drew Odette in. It was the fact that Velvette was everything she wasn't. Velvette was confident, brazen, and bold, not caring about the consequences. In comparison, Odette was shy, nervous, and overthought everything. Not a day went by when Odette didn't worry about how every action she made would affect her family. And how some of the actions she made still impacted her family. Odette certainly had always remembered what her family had done to get their power.
It was weird, though; these feelings for Velvette scared her more than anything else. Maybe it was because if Velvette had any chance, she would crush the Carmines. And it would be all Odette's fault.
She felt like a moth drawn to a flame. A flame that would use her, break her, and then burn down her entire family.
Her only consolation was that Velvette would never feel the same way about her. Hell, she even doubted Velvette knew her name. At one of the overlord meetings, she had tried to insult Clara and her but instead called them Laria and Cosette.
But no, frigid and cold, that was all Velvette thought of her. I mean, it made sense, though; Odette barely showed any emotion. She had crafted a perfect exterior for the outside world so no one could know how truly broken she was inside. She could barely stand herself most days; how could an overlord, let alone Velvette. Stunning, brave, bold Velvette, stand her?
“Odette!”, her mamá yelled.
Quickly being snatched from her thoughts about Velvette, Odette responded, "What?!".
"Clara, leave!" her mamá said.
"Wait, no, Clara, stay!" Odette pleaded. But it was no use. Clara left, mouthing a sorry and good luck before she left.
"What the actual fuck Odette." Her mamá asked while grabbing a drink.
"It's just …" Odette tried.
But she was cut off by Carmilla, stating, "I don't want excuses. We both know you couldn't care less about a turf war. Tell me the truth, and you won't be in any trouble."
Odette tried to say something, but all that came out were stutters. Her goddamn stupid stutter that came out when she was nervous.
God, how could she explain what happened with Velvette when she didn't even know what had happened. It all happened too fast. She just knew when her mother was going to kill Velvette that she couldn't live without her. God, she was stupid; Velvette didn't care whether she lived or died. Why did she care so much about her? Why did she come up with all that stupid bullshit to save her?
Frankly, the extent of Odette's feelings scared her. Until that moment, she hadn't even realized her feelings were that strong. They should never have been that strong. They hadn't even talked. Hell, if Velvette ever figured out the extent of Odette's feelings for her. God, what would Velvette make her do? She would probably use Odette until she was broken, and then she would throw her away after killing her family. Frankly, Odette was broken enough as it was, and she couldn't take whatever Velvette would throw at her.
Again, her mamá snapped her out of her thoughts about Velvette, but this time it was welcome. "Just as I thought, you like her."
"What, no!" but as always, Odette was a terrible liar. Her body betrayed her, her whole face flushing bright red.
Carmilla sighed, resigned to the fact that one of her daughters fell for Velvette's stupid tricks, "Baby, te amo. You know I love you and just want what's best for you. And Velvette, she's not good for you. We both know she would use you to get to me. We've seen what she has done before. You and I both know those rumors about her are true. And I just couldn't bear to see you get hurt. If she knew the secrets you have, god, she could destroy us. I won't let that happen to you, and I won't let that happen to your sister. That's why if you ever get too close to her, I'll kill her . I don't give a fuck about the consequences! Do you understand?"
"Yes, Mother, I'll stay away from her. I understand," Odette replied timidly. And she did understand. She knew everything her mother said was right. All Velvette would do is hurt her. She had to stay away for her sake and Velvette's. But why did it hurt so goddamn much?

Hazbin Hotel- Velvette x Odette- Guess I don’t have a choice, all because I liked a girl.
Chapter 1: The First Spark
"So, as I was saying, our people are in serious danger in the next extermination. We need to ……."
This meeting was so boring. Of course, it was. It had a goddamn Carmine hosting it. Really, this was so boring that Velvette couldn't ever muster the energy to scroll on her phone. God, at this rate, she was going to fall asleep.
“Velvette!”
“Velvette!”
"Velvette, I swear to God if you …"
And with that, sadly, Velvette was up, "Oh my God, you old geezer, shut the actual hell up! You interrupted my nap!"
"Your nap!" Carmilla yelled, "We are discussing plans to protect the entire population of hell and our souls! Which correct me if I am wrong; keep you and the rest of us in power!"
"You know, maybe I would pay attention for once if you weren't so goddamn insufferable all the time! I don't even know why I even come to these stupid things. I never get anything out of these meetings!" Velvette sighed. She knew exactly why she came to these meetings. Valentino, like every other event in his life, fucked these things up. I mean, god, who in their right mind suggests an overlord orgy. Half of the overlords cut off supplies to the Vees for over a month. It took way too much bribing from Vox to try and get them back into the "I'm not going to kill you on the spot" graces of the other overlords. And Vox, bloody Vox. The one goddamn time he had come to one of these stupid meetings with Alastor, he had a goddamn meltdown like a toddler where he broke down and tried to make out with Alastor, who tried to legit murder him with one of the angelic weapons Carmilla had on her wall. Who bloody puts angelic weapons on a wall by overlords who want to overthrow each other. Has Carmilla ever heard of common sense?
But no, the real reason Velvette came to these stupid things was the one time she skipped it. She missed them planning a goddamn overthrow of one of the most annoying overlords ever. She missed out on taking lots of lands and souls, and she had to listen to Vox's bullshit for days. He kept invading every one of her screens just to lecture her.
So that was why she was here in this goddamn room with Carmilla fucking Carmine. God, if she could gut one person in hell.
"Velvette! Would it kill you to show some respect!" Carmilla screamed.
Now this was it, Velvette finally snapped, "Please, why should respect an old geezer who fucks a goddamn spider!"
The room went instantly silent, aside from several gasps.
Yep, Velvette had finally done it; she was going to fucking die. And by Carmilla no less. Fucking Carmilla! Carmilla's powers were overflowing, and the rage was boiling on her face. Her powers were suffocating. The only thing left for her was to grab a weapon. Wait, Carmilla was a weapon. Yep, she was going to die. She was going to fucking die by Carmilla Carmine, of all people. And now the last words she was ever going to hear in this life were going to come from Carmilla.
There they were. Deathly calm, Carmilla said, "Velvette, you've crossed a line, and now."
"Ha ha, oh my fucking god. You have to be kidding me." Who the hell said that? It was one of the prettiest voices Velvette had ever heard but also one of the dumbest. Who in their right goddamn mind would interrupt Carmilla when she was going to kill her. "Mamá!"
Wait, mamá! Mamá! One of Carmine's brats saved her?! Her of all people. Why? All the Carmine's despised her. Right? "Odette, Not now!" Carmine shrieked.
Odette. The blonde one with glasses. She always looked frigid and cold and never showed any emotion. Even when Velvette had accused her mom of killing an angel. But now, unlike her usual self, she looked flushed, worried, and scared. But she still went on, "Mamá, you can't kill her. Vox and Valentino would go after you. It would be a huge turf war. Plus, they would turn other overlords against you. Please, mamá, don't do this!"
She was beautiful. Stunning. Brave. The flush on her cheeks was the most adorable thing Velvette had ever seen. And her voice, Velvette would've sold her soul just to hear it for one more minute. She was fucked. She needed Odette, beautiful and stunning Odette. Odette, who was sticking up for her. Velvette could see through all of Odette's bullshit and knew that Odette didn't give a fuck about a turf war. Hell, based on the rumors about the Carmines, they would bloody enjoy a turf war. No, Odette wanted to save her. But why?
"Fine!" Carmilla snapped, "Meeting dismissed."
And with that, Carmilla grabbed, no dragged, her daughters out of the room. After that, all the other overlords dashed out of the room, leaving Velvette. Her mouth was wide open, and her mind still reeling from the fact that a Carmine, no Odette, had saved her. But now it seemed that all Velvette could think of was the cute blond. God, what was she going to do.
