other tenants of the building include: -Picard (the head of the college that Data attends) and Q (no one really knows what he does, he just pops in and out whenever he pleases) -Troi (high school guidance counselor) and Riker (personal trainer) and Worf used to live here too but he moved out -Beverly (still a doctor) and Wesley (burnt out college freshman) -Barclay (works at Blockbusters w/ Data and Geordi) -Guinan (bartender of a secretly gay bar)

epic fratricide animation

drew up this WIP in august last year when I was thinking about rewriting an ending to descent where lore kills data and cant live with it, then offers his life to the enterprise crew to be used as parts to repair him (which results in issues, and data is Not Quite Right when they wake him up). having big moods about family and alters. idk if i'll finish this but it seems like a good time to post.

Lal meets Uncle Lore

LORE (dialogue): "Aren't you cute? Especially since you don't look like your father!!"

LAL (sits on couch): "Are you REALLY my Uncle?"

LAL (reaches out): "I'm envious that you have the same face as Dad..."

DATA: "Lal, you can not look like us because everyone would get confused."

Sound effects (touching Lore's face): *poke* *poke* *feel* *feel*

LAL: "so nice...so nice..."

LORE (shocked, mildly horrified): "Ehhhhh?!"

🎵NOTES: OK, first of all *laughs in B-4*, secondly @hokuru helped me translate "kocchakoi" because it's informal and part of Iwate dialect.

The noise Lore makes on his knees is a sharper sound than a "pat pat" (I liked that detail). Lal is usually written in Japanese fanart as saying "Papa", although, in the tv show, she only called Data "father" to my recollection -- just as Data & Lore refer to Noonian (a continuity that I enjoy) -- although I translated it to the more American "Dad" here. I deliberately translated Data being more specific to make the meaning clear.

The sound effect for "poke" is one more commonly used in erotic/adult manga, knowing our artist's sense of humor it's probably meant to playfully evoke that connotation (adding to Uncle Lore's discomfort). I love it. 😆 💕
