Just started reading "The Journey to the West" and I'm so disappointed to find that it's a complete rip off of "Dragon Ball".

THIS IS NOT OKAY!

BROKE: "It-was-all-just-a-dream" Author delivers a Fuck-You-Ex-Machina by having the MC wake up and find that the whole adventure was just one long fever-dream.

WOKE: "Happy-never-after" Character wakes up from their happy ending to find themselves still in the Villain's lair.

BESPOKE: "A-midsummer-night's-drug-trip" The adventure DID happen, but the character has been gaslit by an overpowered benevolent being into thinking it was just a shared hallucination. Whether this is a good thing is up to the horrified audience.

ARTICHOKE: "It-was-all-just-a-WIP" Author has been daydreaming about the awesome story for the past five years. Nothing to show for but a field of plot bunnies and half-rendered drawings of their favourite side characters.

i dont really know how to articulate this but its crazy just how many people dont even realize they dont care about female characters. all their faves are men. they never talk about girls without being led into it. and when you try to point this out to them they try to defend themselves that their faves are just the archetypes they like, despite clearly not caring when that same archetype is a woman. like i feel like at a certain point it is your problem with the common denominator if you cant find a single female character to enjoy

Not only is it straight out of the "Silliest Timeline™" but it is also unironically very funny and really well thought out.

Was anyone going to tell me netflix just released a J-drama about mpreg with a cisgender man, or was I supposed to find that out by myself?

I think my favourite thing about this app is never knowing when a post was made ever.

Sometimes I get in the mood to read shitty fanfiction. I'm talking spelling errors, cliché tropes, Mary-sue MC, song-fics. I am ready to dive headfirst into a single paragraph chapter, not breathing until I emerge from the self-inflicted hellscape.

Every once in a while I come across a fic with these exact specifications. 40 chapters, 5k words, it's my favourite ship and a fake!datingAU- I'm praising the Lord for this hearty meal.

But as I dive off the railing ready to swim in poorly plotted nonsense, something doesn't feel right. I look closer...

the most unrealistic part of hannibal is when hannibal served up human meat and said it was rabbit or fish or chicken or something like yeah sure i believe it could pass as beef and pork but FISH?? either every single person who ate his meals had zero taste buds or they were just choosing to ignore the fact it tasted completely off
