Videogame OST of the Day
Luminoth (Temple Grounds) -- Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
In honor of the announcement of Metroid Prime 4. My favorite track from Metroid Prime 2 is Torvus Bog, but I wanted something to sound kinda “fanfare” and “celebratory” despite this being the opposite seen in the game.

E3 Overall -- Thoughts
Metroid Prime 4. That’s all I gotta say.
Funny enough, I just gave up and now I’m blessed to hear that it is in development. I don’t mind if it still is in it’s early stages, the fact that it’s in development is amazing.
Thank you, Nintendo.

Sony Press Conference -- Thoughts
Goodness gracious, it was great. A lot of games after games. I was more surprised with Monster Hunter World. Monster Hunter coming back on it’s home system is something that sounds freaking awesome. But at the same time, what’s going to happen with Monster Hunter Double Cross?
In any case, there was a lot of great stuff going on. Loved that there was a lot of gameplay demo in each game they showed. It was great.
Still waiting for tomorrow and wanting to see what will happen with Nintendo to actually state all my thoughts.

I can never understand the Xbox VS Playstation debate. I don’t understand why people can keep arguing over consoles when a lot of their games are 3rd party games, in any case.
I like both since there’s some unique titles to both. But I won’t go as far as to say one is better than the other. Quite frankly, I only really use my PS4 for youtube, netflix, or hulu. I don’t really play much even though there has been a lot of good games out. I’ll probably snag them when I have the money, but again, I don’t like the debate for either. It’s kinda just fallible in my opinion when both of these systems and companies have entirely different games. I don’t think you can match up a Halo to a God of War or a Gears of War to a Metal Gear Solid. It just doesn’t work like that. If there were games on there that were comparable, then fine. I’d understand, but I don’t think I know of any that would actually garner a debate between the two.

Videogame OST of the Day
The Last Cackletta -- Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga
Listen to the other OSTs as well! They’re all great. But I picked this in particular because it was the one that stuck to me the most and I was trying so hard to beat this game. It was freaking insane when I was a kid. I still remember it and the scenes like the back of my hand. I’ll probably give it another replay sooner or later.

Anthem -- Thoughts
Bioware is definitely making it big with this game. I think it looks really great, but hopefully they take their time with it.
It kinda has those Lost Planet 1 and Lost Planet 2 feels for some reason. Even though Lost Planet is more linear, the fact you have a big world and people to play with makes it feel like that. I’m actually pretty excited for it? It looks really good and I love 3rd Person Shooters more than 1st Person Shooters.
Hopefully wanting to see more.

Capcom -- Thoughts
In all honestly, Capcom is probably one of the most influential companies out there. Their games and genres range from all over the place!
Take for example, one of the most notable fighting games out there, Street Fighter. Street Fighter has been around for so long, yet, we still see it shine in many small audiences. Seeing it being played at EVO hypes you up and playing with friends lets you see who they truly are when you play against them. But really, what I’m saying is, so many have tried to understand the formula of a “good” fighting game. And I feel that the Street Fighter Franchise has always seemed to nail it down (in some cases, but even with the new Street Fighters that do disappoint fans, they are still being played at EVO). I think the most notable as well is the different characters and their different playstyles. You’ve got Ryu and his pretty versatile kit, then you have your ranged Dhalism, to the choke-and-hold em Zangief. There are many more characters of course, but so many fighting games have tried to make their own rendition off of these simple characters and tried to go above and beyond. But I don’t know, it’s just something with Street Fighter that just pulls me back. I probably think it’s just the design of the characters and how notable they are, but I’ve always been in love with the Capcom artstyle.
Another shining example is Megaman, however, I’m actually not too well versed in Mega Man as I’m really bad at them. Mega Man was not only fresh when it was first released, but the fact you learned game mechanics in game without having to have a book tell you what to do or have a tutorial show you how to do it. And sadly, we don’t see many games like this anymore. We are usually guided with tutorials of how to play games and sometimes, it just distracts us from the game that we’re playing. Although, these can be said for a lot of the old games before, but I feel like Mega Man did it best. (and I’m a Metroid fan to death, but honestly, the mechanics of Mega Man’s level design ultimately help you understand the game and how to play.) I think the only real game to this date that probably jumps you right in without giving you a real tutorial is the Soulsborne Franchise. But that discussion is for another time. Honestly though, I wish I could expand further on Megaman, but I suck so bad at the game that I only beat a few bosses and never completed a game. :( But there are other games, too, such as Mega Man Legends (I actually enjoyed it as a kid, but I don’t think I have enough memory to understand it in it’s entirety), then there’s also Mega Man Battle Network.
Honestly, I can keep rambling on and on about Capcom with Devil May Cry, Resident Evil, Dead Rising, Ace Attorney and so forth. They’ve just got so many influential games that it’s outstanding. And they’re not afraid to be different.
But you also can’t forget the great video game music they’ve got:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_I34nshlOPk -- Objection! -- PW:AA
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zceFErzseFk -- Mall Music -- Dead Rising
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=as_ct9tgkZA -- Mega Man 2 -- Dr Wily Stage 1
I’ll probably do more of these! This was so fun to do. I’ll also end with some of my OSTs from my favorite games or video game franchise. Anyway, see you soon.

E3 Thoughts So Far
I haven’t been this disinterested in E3? I usually am the most excited around this year because I love to see what new games are going to come out.
Then again, I have only seen EA, Microsoft, and Bethesda conferences and have yet to see the next (Ubisoft, Sony, and Nintendo). I was actually quite disappointed in Bethesda’s performance this year. But I shouldn’t really talk so highly as their games take time. I wish they would at leeeeaasstt show some clip of any games they have been working on. I watched a bit of Microsoft’s conference, but I wasn’t too interested in it since I’m not going to get an Xbox One X nor do I currently have an Xbox One (I only really played Xbox One when I was living with my dad since he owned one.) I’m actually only excited for Nintendo as I have given up hope lately due to the Wii U. I do understand that the Wii U, surprisingly, has more exclusive games (good ones at that) than that of both PS4 and Xbox One. But I just wasn’t impressed by the controller and I have played on it before. However, with the release of the Switch, Nintendo is doing what they do best: innovation and portability. I want to see so many games release for the Nintendo, and most importantly, 3rd party games, which is what Nintendo has lacked in. But at the same time, I have no qualms really if they don’t release as much 3rd party games as I still have my PS4 and my PC to suffice.
I won’t cast any predictions since I don’t want to be hopeful of anything for the Nintendo line up, but I do hope that Sony blows us away with something. I thoroughly enjoyed Persona 5 (put about 120 hours and played for some days nonstop!) and Bloodborne. I only really bought it for these games. I also wanted to play the Last Guardian, but I probably would wait until the price drop as I have spent a lot of money on games lately, lol. Anyway, hope you guys are enjoying it!

Hello!
I remade this blog into a video game blog because I just love discussing video games, elements to video games that I like and dislike, the lore of many video games, and more.
If you are reading this, thank you for stopping by and please feel free to disagree with me on certain thoughts I have about video games. I have played so many different varieties, however, I probably might be a little biased on the Nintendo side as I have grown up with Nintendo. However, I am currently playing on a PS4 and a PC. (PC is also probably the other platform I have grown up with as well).
Thanks again, and I hope that you enjoy your stay! (or not, that’s okay with me. :P)
