Audi ETron Global Debut Live Event

MADSACK Media Group 125th Company Anniversary - Multimediashow

battleROYAL created a major production in celebration of the 125th anniversary of MADSACK Mediengruppe.

MADSACK invited the city of Hannover to join them in celebrating their anniversary with an open-air festival and spectacular show event. 50,000 visitors gathered in the heart of the city for an evening of live performance, music, and entertainment. Hosted by Barbara Schöneberger, the stage program featured musical performances by Mousse T & Band, Lukas Rieger, Spax, Michael Schulte, Sarah Lombardi, Lions Head, and Sasha.

For the grand finale of the night, battleROYAL developed an innovative show experience combining live performance with advanced mapping and video design. The team turned the facade of MADSACK’s Anzeiger Hochhaus into both a vertical stage and multimedia installation, rising 50 metres over the crowd. The landmark building became a large-scale canvas integrating vertical dancers, live opera, musicians, and dancers into the projection as part of battleROYAL’s immersive design and story-telling format.

Stunning imagery and powerful music combined with historical facts from MADSACK Mediengruppe wow’d the audience. From the founding of the Hannoverscher Anzeiger by August Madsack to the modern era of digitalisation, the story was brought to life by unique, detailed interactions between the performers and the projected video content – all enabled by innovative infrared tracking technology. The live show was brought to a close by German pop-stars Glasperlenspiel with real-time scanning technology which transformed the stars into 50 meter high particle avatars.

"Down the Rabbit Hole" is a concept inspired by the famous book "Alice in Wonderland" by Lewis Carroll and also by a very specific atmosphere of the city of Blackpool, which we consider as a unique place where people come to leave behind their everyday reality and exchange it for feelings of relaxation and release so they can - at least for a moment – live their hidden desires and dreams. 8 minutes long story about wonders of new unexplored wast worlds giving us hope and fear at the same time. Filled with knowledge and high expectations... The inspiration for this year is Commander Tim Peake, the first British astronaut to board the International Space Station. The show explores his remarkable mission of determination and ambition: a journey that will drag the audience into worlds without gravity: beautiful, fantastic, full of risk and uncertainty.

Obscura was asked by Goldenvoice to build an epic experience for the 2017 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. So we worked with Pacific Domes to build a 120′ dome called The Antarctic — the largest geodesic projection dome in the world — and produced Chrysalis, an 8-minute audiovisual program to be projected at massive scale in full 360º for audiences of 500 throughout the weekend, creating what’s quite possibly one of the most impactful immersive experiences ever.

NuFormer-3D video mapping projection at VOG-2 for COVRA, The Netherlands. One of the highlights from the openings ceremony at COVRA was this extraordinary 3D video projection mapping. NuFormer used, inside a large hall and in front of an selective audience (including member Royal family), the natural reflection of the shiny floor as part of the total content. Also a projection on the ceiling was added so the mapping performance got multiple dimensions. Together with impressive sound effects this 3D video mapping has become one of the most exclusive ever performed for a live audience.
