CAT serum 2025 Ink on paper, live2d-method animation (in Inochi2d)

I let this actually quite short project rest for a long time, because I was resting my hands, which have been hurting for a while. But here it is now.

What prompted this animation is that my brother, a physician, was packing up some test tubes; and as he held them, I partially saw one label: it said "CAT serum". And my immediate thought was of course that I don't know what CAT serum is, but I know what it should be: it should be a cat transformation item.

If you noticed the whisker fruit drawn in the notebook (and the implication that it's harvested from trees growing beside a lake), it is indeed a reference to Corruption of Champions, a game that I like. (I know it's supposed to be a sexy game, but to me the whole point is getting to collect transformation items and build myself a body that I like.)

Unfortunately you can't see all the things I drew in the "notebook", but here is one more section:

Explanation of the actual contents of the test tube under the cut, so that in case medical/blood-draw-related things bother you or doesn't interest you, you can avoid reading it.

This was a test tube for drawing a blood sample into. What actually was in the test tube, as far as I gather after reading the rest of the inscription - "CAT serum sep clot activator" -, was a transparent gelatinous substance that separates the serum (the liquidy parts of the blood) from the clot (the cellular parts of the blood). Unfortunately no cat transformation was involved, and the substance in the tube isn't given to someone but rather remains in the tube into which the blood is drawn. (This part I actually knew would be the case, because the blood to be drawn into it soon afterward was going to be my own. Don't worry, the tests it was for have since come back negative.) But by the time I read the label properly and recognised this must be what it is (and asked to confirm that it is so), I was already inspired to make this animation, so there was no stopping me, and here we are.
