remember emily the strange? she's a y2k goth icon created by rob reger and his company cosmic debris. emily was created in the early 1990s. a counterculture teen who made her mark along with her black cats. this became apparent in the game emily the strange: strangerous that released on june 10, 2011.

the plot around strangerous revolves around emily's kidnapped cats: mystery, sabbath, miles, and nee chee. the simplistic storyline exists for the player to explore emily's world through professor layton-styled puzzles.
