Embroidery from West Telemark
Onto the western part of Telemark, you can see som differences from the embroidery from East Telemark.
The embroidery can be found on the shirts too, often by the arms and on the collar.

Embroidery from East Telemark, Norway
Telemark is by far my favorite embroidery from Norway. You can separate Telemark into two different parts and each part has their own unique embroidery. This one if from the eastern part!
The embroidery seen here is the one used for the bunad shirts.

Norwegian ambars
These beautiful buckets were used to store milk, butter and porridge. The were often carved or painted in the traditional art form known as "Rosemaling". The buckets used for butter rarley had decoration. The ones for porridge tend to be decorated the most as they were used for weddings or funerals.

Dåpsbleie/Dåpssmekke
This is traditional Norwegian baptism attire.
The cloth is placed on top of the swaddled child, the bands are wrapped around. The design looks alot like the bridal crowns used on Jonsok (Midsummer celebration)
