PERSONALITY

Undyne is incredibly egocentric, and cocky often resulting in her getting into conflicts with nearly every other monster daily. She is incredibly territorial of Waterfall going so far as to attack Sans immediately when he enters her domain. That said, she does make small exceptions for a few monsters such as Gerison, Alphys, and Papyrus. Her aggressive nature is told to Frisk by several Waterfall monsters, and the fear of her is visible by them as well as they cower in her presence. Even though she is kinder to Papyrus and Alphys than most, Undyne is not great with her emotions often using fighting or mockery is her unfortunate love language. She does however harbor genuine feelings for Alphys, but the pair have difficulty maintaining their love as Undyne cannot stay out of water long and Alphys can't get too cold/wet or she could die.

HISTORY

Undyne was extremely young during the war, and like many other monsters was turned during the outbreak caused by Asgore. Her parents had completely lost themselves to the hunger and attempted to consume her. Gerson's strong resilient body gave him fairly good control of his actions. He had little choice but to kill and burn her parents, she consumed both to honor their memory as Gerson had become her guardian.

Undyne was raised by Gerson who went on to become the Alpha of Waterfall. Gerson was a generous Alpha who would often give more food to the Waterfall monsters and Undyne rather than himself. Sadly this continued to the point that Gerson was slowly going mad from hunger forcing Undyne to once again kill a father.

This event would traumatize her to the point that she became cold and ruthless to nearly everyone around her. Undyne often questioned the rules of territory her venture into Hotland was frightening as the heat nearly killed her, and would have succeeded had Alphys not taken her back to Waterfall. Later she would find out how risky this was for Alphys as if her body temp gets too low she could potentially die.

The pair would become mates despite the potential of them accidentally killing one another. Later on when trying to enter Snow Den Undyne found herself ensnared in one of San's traps. He proceeded to mock her calling her 'danger noodle' mocking her lack of legs and her face  before unceremoniously tossing her back into Waterfall.

After this event the pair continued to prank and annoy one another ranging from simple set ups to potential deadly traps. They both share similar thoughts on survival, and though both adamantly deny being friends the pair seem to genuinely enjoy each other's antics. Eventually Papyrus tries to sneak out of Snow Den in an attempt to make friends and is attacked by a pack of Temi. She finds them defending, and yet not attacking despite have a high enough attack to easily slaughter them.

After killing the Temi she tries to gauge their stats better and doing a SOUL check finds that the hunger virus isn't afflicting them right. Surprised she decides to learn more about them, and finds that their brother is Sans, that they dislike fighting, and that their simply lonely. Taking pity on them and impressed at their abnormality, she becomes their mentor teaching them to defend better, she tries occasionally to see if they'll let her show him to fight but they adamantly refuses each time.

When the Human appears in Waterfall she immediately begins hunting them and  killing any monster who gets in her way...

PACIFIST ROUTE

If the Human chooses this route, it's not the easiest, Undyne is incredibly territorial, driven, and hides her feelings (opposed to Sans who simply has difficulty feeling due to his condition.) making things more challenging than other routes. Undyne will try repeatedly to impale them numerous times across their territory although if the Human listened to San's advice they find that Undynes aim is horrible. Her tracking abilities are also poor as she hunts mainly with thermal vision meaning all they have to do is stay cold enough to avoid detection.

As they try to avoid Undyne the Human will run into Monster Kid who went hunting only to become lost. Hungry, and weak they cannot muster the strength to fight anyone. The Human in this route will choose to give MK some of their food and in return due to his cold-blooded body he will hide them for the most part from Undynes thermal.

Eventually the pair enter a standoff and the human will have to lure Undyne out of the water towards hot land till the heat begins to become too much. Once she passed out from the heat, the human will tie her up before dragging her back into Waterfall. Upon waking the pair end up having a chat that leads to her realizing the Human is much like Papyrus and admires their control.

After they finish talking Undyne reveals that she has concerns about Asgore explaining that every alpha has to pay tribute so that he doesn't begin eating everything around him. The Human explains that their mission is to imprison Asgore and stop the false God so that their world can heal. Undyne laughs at their words in the beginning before slowly going quiet.

"Can a world like this heal? Can our SOULs actually be saved...if such things exist...you and Paps give me the hope that they can.."

After this Undyne tells them that they have her support, and like Sans insists that they get Alphys to talk about anime. Once Sans passes Judgment on them and they imprison Asgore, and stand up against Monarch Undyne as well as the other Alphas will appear decreeing they no longer worship him.

Undyne attends this moment in a suit made by Alphys to keep her from drying out. Like the others she stated that she has never once worshiped him, and demands he fix the world he made. She becomes upset when he laughs telling them the hunger won't just stop, and that truthfully Asgore was to blame as he could have declined the elixir. She is held back by both Alphys and Papyrus during the exchange, once gone the group begins planning to recruit others who are tired of the hunger, pain, and violence.

At the end it's revealed that Alphys and Undyne found a way to be together without killing each other accidentally. Undyne has become a swim instructor, and builds a shrine dedicated to Gerson the monster who became her father.

GENOCIDE ROUTE

On this path the Human gets zero warning about Undynes aim, and tracking abilities making it more difficult to avoid attacks if they aren't sure what to expect. Also instead of offering MK some of their food, the Human will instead cut off MK's tail causing him to flee in fear. Its revealed later by Undyne that because of this MK was attacked by other monsters and consumed completely.

This is when the fight begins as Undyne tells the Human how much they've been dying to kill them after finding out about Papyrus's death. Then she tells them that while she understood the need to eat, cutting MK's tail off and throwing him to the wolves was shameful. As the fight progresses her attacks become more frantic, and her body begins to change into something more terrifying as the Hunger begins to cause her sanity to crumble with each blow.

Eventually she becomes consumed by the virus and her attacks become extremely unpredictable, and the last blow will cause her to snarl as she falls to the ground bleeding out. Her eyes black, expression unhinged as she crawls towards the human growling despite the blood pouring from her body. The Human will deal the final blow as Undyne gets close clutching onto their leg before saying.

" I am coming home mom ...dad ...Gerson... forgive me ... Alphys..."

Going in depth on the elixir given to Asgore from Monarch, the brew is his own personal potion made from some of his magic, the souls of monsters from other AU's that suffered greatly, and a virus they found in the multiverse.

These various elements combined created a zombie-like virus that spreads via bites, scratches, or in rare instances an attack on an individual's SOUL. Unlike a zombie virus however, the Elixir doesn't reanimate the dead, but does cause the infected to become ravenous with hunger.

Its full effects vary based on the infected, as some have a stronger constitution than others Gerson is a good example of this. All effects of this virus can include...

PERSONALITY

Despite their intimidating form and size, Papyrus is a gentle monster who isn't fond of conflict. Given their stature they could certainly become a formidable monster. However, due to being raised mostly by Sans who kept them heavily away from danger as much as possible. Teaching Paps to never attack humans unprovoked, because of this they're one of the rare types of monsters. Like many Papyri they share a love of puzzles, japes, and pasta when he can find the material to make the noodles. Unfortunately because of their appearance, and their brother, Papyrus often struggles with loneliness as well as dealing with others who mistake them as a threat. When they find Frisk they're extremely elated to make a new friend and do whatever they can to protect them from harm. Despite their enthusiasm though, Paps is an incredibly shy anxious monster who is always on guard because of past conflicts.

HISTORY

Papyrus was still a babybones when their father found them, and sadly they were too young at the the time to remember what their mother looked like. As a child Papyrus was heavily protected by Sans especially after their mother was killed while they were extremely young. As they got closer to their teens, Gaster declared he would begin teaching them how to hunt humans, mages, and other monsters. Papyrus had little desire to hunt, preferring to gather whilst hunting wild game such as deer, elk, excetra and had a preference for traps rather than using brute force.

While they were too young to see their mother's murder, Papyrus was there when Sans ambushed their father. They held many mixed emotions on that day, and even now the memory is firmly engraved in the back of their mind. After their father's death, and Sans becoming the new alpha, Papyrus lived much of their life in solitude with their brother as their only source of companionship.

Even when they were  educated by both Toriel and Grillby, Sans still overtook most of their teaching. Although they have tried to speak to others outside Snowden it has been extremely difficult due to their intimidating size. Though Undyne has spoken to them on occasion when they try to sneak into Waterfall territory. She seems to find them amusing because of their gentle docile nature, occasionally making what many would consider insults.

These insults are however just how she shows kindness, because of the nature of most Monsters she is unfamiliar with the subject. That said she will at times show them how to fish for food and show them how to cook it. Though she more often than not ends up losing control and eating the fish before it's done.

When the human arrives, Paps takes an instant liking to their quiet yet playful personality. They do their best to hide the human away from Sans fearful of him hurting, or perhaps torturing the child. When they find out that Sans has been having their friend targeted, tormented, and is going to surprise attack them Paps steps in. They stand up to Sans insisting that the human is their first true friend, and threaten to fight him if he plans to hurt them.

PACIFIST ROUTE

During the Pacifist timeline Paps will grow fond of the Human child see them as their first real friend and do their best to take care of them. They hide Frisk from their brother, and other monsters when possible to assure their safety. When they find out that Sans has been orchestrating all the monsters attacking the human, the traps, and finds them about to fight and or kill the human their livid.

Papyrus demands Sans to stop and when he doesn't listen, Paps attacks his brother defending Frisk from them startling him. They then declare " I AM TIRED OF BEING ALONE WITH YOU! YOU ARE MY BROTHER BUT I CANNOT STAND THIS ISOLATION! THIS HUMAN IS MY FRIEND AND I WILL NOT LET YOU TAKE THEM AWAY FROM ME!"

Shocked Sans backs down and ceases his attack agreeing to stop so long as there's not a danger to others. Paps doesn't fully believe their brother but agrees to help Frisk by showing them the way to Waterfall. Occasionally Paps will pop in around Waterfall giving advice about Undyne to them. Such as that she isn't the best at aiming and is actually kind but doesn't know how to express it all that well.

When Alphys and Undyne reconnect admitting their feelings, Papyrus pops in between the paid congratulating them before running as they chase them in embarrassment. After the human defeats Asgore and challenges Monarch, the God imprisons Asgore.

When Monarch tells the human they have to pick a new King of the Monsters and they choose Papyrus because of his Kindness. At the end you see that Papyrus has declared that consuming humans is illegal, and peace is forged with the humans underground while investing in aid for the monsters and mages afflicted by hunger.

GENOCIDE ROUTE

The killing of Papyrus is an automatic Genocide sentence, unlike other universes, this is believed to be the case due to the AU's unstable Sans and Pappy's purity is the key to peace.

This is the 1st Violentale Comic, much of it is simplistic but it's purposeful to mimic the opening in Undertale.

VIOLENTALE SANS (FROSTBITE)

PERSONALITY

Most monsters view Sans as a cold blooded Sociopath with a love of killing anything that pisses him off. In truth this is only half true, while he does have ASPD (Antisocial Personality Disorder), Sans typically targets those who pose a threat to him and his brother the only person he's managed to connect with. Many of his behaviors stem from his father's actions, and potentially inherit his psychological issues. That said, he rarely targets humans or mages preferring to consume wild game. He even refuses to let Papyrus consume humans in any way, shape or form. Much like his mother he finds issues with how the monsters made a deal with a god for power turning them into beasts who are constantly in hunger. According to some like Grillby who grew up with him as children, he used to be a happy comedic monster till his parents passed away. After becoming the alpha of Snowden he closed himself to anyone but his brother until Frisk arrived. Eventually letting them into their inner circle and declaring them under his care.

HISTORY

As a kid Sans was a bright happy child, and loved his mother deeply growing up, he lived with her and his baby brother in isolation for years till their father found them. He forced the three to live with him, and tried to force Sans to hunt humans with him which upset his mother greatly. After threatening to take them both away Sans had to watch his father slaughter and devour her. Once he was a teen Sans waited for the right moment to kill him but as Papyrus got older and his father threatened to teach Papyrus how to hunt humans Sans ambushed him in rage. He killed his father before eating him and asserting himself as the new alpha of Snowden.  When he becomes the alpha of his territory he eventually meets the other Alphas such as Undyne, who he regularly annoys for fun and Alphys, who becomes somewhat of a friend as she is typically very rational and is viewed to him as a non-threath to his territory.

As they grew up Toriel and Grillby did most of their education with the pair, and became the closest thing they had to guardian figures. Despite this Sans has very little feelings for both monsters, mainly accepting their assistance in the beginning to help Papyrus learn as he grew up. As an adult alpha, he only ever had a few rules for those under his territory.

No killing humans or mages without reason, only those who were both gluttonous and cruel.

Any injury to his younger brother was punishable by death.

Never consume everything, always leave something so the population can grow to avoid starvation.

Do not touch him without permission you don't want to know what the punishment will be

PACIFIST ROUTE

When Frisk arrives in Snowden he smells them almost immediately, but chooses to fake not being able to find them in the beginning to play along with Papyrus who tries to hide them. After he grows bored of that he begins having various monsters fight them, if they choose to spare each of them he will attempt to push them further by attacking them. He will keep pushing them till Papyrus interrupts the fight and declares them his first friend. Sans says he will allow it and allow them to pass but if he finds that they're too big a danger to be left alone he'll eat them painfully slow.

As they pass through Waterfall they'll run into Sans again who forewarns them about Undyne the Alpha of the area. Describing her as an incredible pain in his tail bone, and a lousy aim for a self proclaimed knight.  This actually helps Frisk as Undyne's aim with her barbs is incredibly poor, and afterwards he'll congratulate them on being smart enough to lure Undyne to Hot Land. He of course means this sarcastically as he then says he kinda was bummed though because he was hoping that he could see if they could still run with a barb in their stomach.

He then will give them a tip to deal with Alphys the Alpha of Hot Land, and encourages them to ask her about anime. While on their journey they catch Sans selling Chicken Fingers when asking where he got the chickens he tells them "what chickens? Oh you thought these were chicken fingers...nah that's just a catchier name than the alternative heh."

This can cause Frisk to either throw up or swallow, if they choose to swallow he'll respond with "Wow you must really be starving , not that I can judge you for that least yours wasn't a 'family meal'."

Should they choose to throw up he'll begin laughing before telling them "Nice, you know that meat isn't easy to come by could you be a little less wasteful but then who am I to judge maybe I over cooked them?"

They'll see him again when reaching the watering hole before they fight with Mettaton, he'll pull them to the side and offer them a plate of venison. As they eat he begins to tell them the true reason why he didn't kill them "I normally just kill any threats that come into Snow Den...but Paps was getting lonely and the former Queen sent a carrier raven with a message...'Don't hurt the child chosen by the Gods' ...I know the legends...but I don't have much faith in those bastards... truthfully I only let you walk out alive because Paps likes you if you didn't become his friend and promise to come back to see him ...y o u ' d  b e  d e a d  w h e r e  y o u  s t a n d... Hey lighten up...besides...I am just being dramatic! ...Maybe...have fun with the robot..."

After beating Mettaton, and making it to the Field of Judgement, they'll run into Sans once again as he begins talking to them. "So you've actually managed to make it all this way...your journey from the God of Wrath is nearly complete...most monsters call me the Hunter because I slay the wicked and eat the damned...but you are a special one...you had every right to kill yet you spared every soul ... you've had every opportunity to feed yet you are not gluttonous...I hate saying this...but I envy your compassion...perhaps if I keep you close...I can learn from you both how to be kind... probably not...but it is a nice thought...beyond these fields is the Kings domain...even his subjects dare to not enter lest they be eaten themselves...I wonder...how will you charm your way through his sins...best of luck kid..."

After fighting the King and challenging Monarch, the God will imprison Asgore in Mount Ebott declaring a truce. Afterwards Sans can be seen getting into a snow ball fight with others, having a snow cone, and going to sleep with Papyrus and Frisk.

GENOCIDE ROUTE

After killing Toriel, and running into Papyrus it at first starts like Pacifist timeline with one key difference being that Papyrus will smell Toriel's dust after hiding them from Sans. This starts a fight and if they choose to kill Papyrus in the end Sans will become unstable. Leaving them a letter that instructs them to not die ' b e c a u s e  I a m  g o i n g  t o

k i l l  y o u  d i r t y  b r o t h e r  k i l l e r...'.

When they reach the Fields of Judgement Sans will appear and begin saying "so you're finally at the end of your journey...the God of Wrath must live up to his name...you've become as ravenous as the old ones...I can't fault you're hunger...but I always hoped perhaps you were different from some of us...I would call you a Hunter like myself but you...your nothing more than a predator preying on those weaker than you...I despise breaking an oath...but I despise gluttonous beasts like you even more...it's a beautiful day for a hunt...birds are flourishing...fish are bountiful...on days like this...beast like you...s h o u l d  b e  b u r n i n g  i n  h e l l..."

As the fight goes on attacking and wearing him down is the best approach, as is taking advantage of his blind spot due to his damaged eye. Throughout the battle he will recall Frisk being apart of his pack, how they had once been like family to him, and he used to be proud of their unique nature. Asking for mercy like in other versions will of course result in death, and once the killing blow is struck Sans will beg them for one last favor. He will beg them to consume him, dust and all so that he and his family will live on inside them, this implies that after his brother died he consumed his dust. Upon consuming him they will level up to 20 and continue their journey.

PERSONALITY

Most monsters view Sans as a cold blooded Sociopath with a love of killing anything that pisses him off. In truth this is only half true, while he does have ASPD (Antisocial Personality Disorder), Sans typically targets those who pose a threat to him and his brother the only person he's managed to connect with. Many of his behaviors stem from his father's actions, and potentially inherit his psychological issues. That said, he rarely targets humans or mages preferring to consume wild game. He even refuses to let Papyrus consume humans in any way, shape or form. Much like his mother he finds issues with how the monsters made a deal with a god for power turning them into beasts who are constantly in hunger. According to some like Grillby who grew up with him as children, he used to be a happy comedic monster till his parents passed away. After becoming the alpha of Snowden he closed himself to anyone but his brother until Frisk arrived. Eventually letting them into their inner circle and declaring them under his care.

HISTORY

As a kid Sans was a bright happy child, and loved his mother deeply growing up, he lived with her and his baby brother in isolation for years till their father found them. He forced the three to live with him, and tried to force Sans to hunt humans with him which upset his mother greatly. After threatening to take them both away Sans had to watch his father slaughter and devour her. Once he was a teen Sans waited for the right moment to kill him but as Papyrus got older and his father threatened to teach Papyrus how to hunt humans Sans ambushed him in rage. He killed his father before eating him and asserting himself as the new alpha of Snowden.  When he becomes the alpha of his territory he eventually meets the other Alphas such as Undyne, who he regularly annoys for fun and Alphys, who becomes somewhat of a friend as she is typically very rational and is viewed to him as a non-threath to his territory.

As they grew up Toriel and Grillby did most of their education with the pair, and became the closest thing they had to guardian figures. Despite this Sans has very little feelings for both monsters, mainly accepting their assistance in the beginning to help Papyrus learn as he grew up. As an adult alpha, he only ever had a few rules for those under his territory.

No killing humans or mages without reason, only those who were both gluttonous and cruel.

Any injury to his younger brother was punishable by death.

Never consume everything, always leave something so the population can grow to avoid starvation.

Do not touch him without permission you don't want to know what the punishment will be

PACIFIST ROUTE

When Frisk arrives in Snowden he smells them almost immediately, but chooses to fake not being able to find them in the beginning to play along with Papyrus who tries to hide them. After he grows bored of that he begins having various monsters fight them, if they choose to spare each of them he will attempt to push them further by attacking them. He will keep pushing them till Papyrus interrupts the fight and declares them his first friend. Sans says he will allow it and allow them to pass but if he finds that they're too big a danger to be left alone he'll eat them painfully slow.

As they pass through Waterfall they'll run into Sans again who forewarns them about Undyne the Alpha of the area. Describing her as an incredible pain in his tail bone, and a lousy aim for a self proclaimed knight.  This actually helps Frisk as Undyne's aim with her barbs is incredibly poor, and afterwards he'll congratulate them on being smart enough to lure Undyne to Hot Land. He of course means this sarcastically as he then says he kinda was bummed though because he was hoping that he could see if they could still run with a barb in their stomach.

He then will give them a tip to deal with Alphys the Alpha of Hot Land, and encourages them to ask her about anime. While on their journey they catch Sans selling Chicken Fingers when asking where he got the chickens he tells them "what chickens? Oh you thought these were chicken fingers...nah that's just a catchier name than the alternative heh."

This can cause Frisk to either throw up or swallow, if they choose to swallow he'll respond with "Wow you must really be starving , not that I can judge you for that least yours wasn't a 'family meal'."

Should they choose to throw up he'll begin laughing before telling them "Nice, you know that meat isn't easy to come by could you be a little less wasteful but then who am I to judge maybe I over cooked them?"

They'll see him again when reaching the watering hole before they fight with Mettaton, he'll pull them to the side and offer them a plate of venison. As they eat he begins to tell them the true reason why he didn't kill them "I normally just kill any threats that come into Snow Den...but Paps was getting lonely and the former Queen sent a carrier raven with a message...'Don't hurt the child chosen by the Gods' ...I know the legends...but I don't have much faith in those bastards... truthfully I only let you walk out alive because Paps likes you if you didn't become his friend and promise to come back to see him ...y o u ' d  b e  d e a d  w h e r e  y o u  s t a n d... Hey lighten up...besides...I am just being dramatic! ...Maybe...have fun with the robot..."

After beating Mettaton, and making it to the Field of Judgement, they'll run into Sans once again as he begins talking to them. "So you've actually managed to make it all this way...your journey from the God of Wrath is nearly complete...most monsters call me the Hunter because I slay the wicked and eat the damned...but you are a special one...you had every right to kill yet you spared every soul ... you've had every opportunity to feed yet you are not gluttonous...I hate saying this...but I envy your compassion...perhaps if I keep you close...I can learn from you both how to be kind... probably not...but it is a nice thought...beyond these fields is the Kings domain...even his subjects dare to not enter lest they be eaten themselves...I wonder...how will you charm your way through his sins...best of luck kid..."

After fighting the King and challenging Monarch, the God will imprison Asgore in Mount Ebott declaring a truce. Afterwards Sans can be seen getting into a snow ball fight with others, having a snow cone, and going to sleep with Papyrus and Frisk.

GENOCIDE ROUTE

After killing Toriel, and running into Papyrus it at first starts like Pacifist timeline with one key difference being that Papyrus will smell Toriel's dust after hiding them from Sans. This starts a fight and if they choose to kill Papyrus in the end Sans will become unstable. Leaving them a letter that instructs them to not die ' b e c a u s e  I a m  g o i n g  t o

k i l l  y o u  d i r t y  b r o t h e r  k i l l e r...'.

When they reach the Fields of Judgement Sans will appear and begin saying "so you're finally at the end of your journey...the God of Wrath must live up to his name...you've become as ravenous as the old ones...I can't fault you're hunger...but I always hoped perhaps you were different from some of us...I would call you a Hunter like myself but you...your nothing more than a predator preying on those weaker than you...I despise breaking an oath...but I despise gluttonous beasts like you even more...it's a beautiful day for a hunt...birds are flourishing...fish are bountiful...on days like this...beast like you...s h o u l d  b e  b u r n i n g  i n  h e l l..."

As the fight goes on attacking and wearing him down is the best approach, as is taking advantage of his blind spot due to his damaged eye. Throughout the battle he will recall Frisk being apart of his pack, how they had once been like family to him, and he used to be proud of their unique nature. Asking for mercy like in other versions will of course result in death, and once the killing blow is struck Sans will beg them for one last favor. He will beg them to consume him, dust and all so that he and his family will live on inside them, this implies that after his brother died he consumed his dust. Upon consuming him they will level up to 20 and continue their journey.

Doing some restructuring story wise there may be a lot of updates 👋

I apologize for the lack of content, but I have been busy with personal matters like relationships, work, and my life in general as of late is very topsy turvy.

I've had time to meditate on the current concept and I have decided to make adjustments to the AU that make it more cohesive than how it feels as of late. I think my worries over change have caused the overall work of the AU to crumble, while some things will stay the same there will be story edits and changes to a variety of characters. Given how long this has all taken I apologize as I somewhat selfishly ask you to be patient 🩵 as we work on this story together in a way.

APPEARANCE

Papyrus looks similar to the original with a handful of certain unique traits. Firstly his facial bones have unique curves and points around the jaw and sides of his skull accompanied by a pair of intimidatingly large canines. He also features the unusual trait of having four arms courtesy of his mother's spider monster magic. Papyrus aka Fox is also almost never seen without his signature white fluffy coat that has four sleeves and a cute set of ears on the hood. This coat is made from the fur of Greatest Dog who attacked him as a child, while he isn't fond of the memory or methods used he loves his coat dearly because his mother made it. Underneath he typically wears a red sweater or red tank top, and his pants are black with gold bells swen into the bottom legs with red thread. His reasoning for the bells is due to his rather quiet personality and swift movement makes him particularly hard to hear combined with his large size he often unintentionally frightens others.

PERSONALITY

Papyrus is a good natured gentle soul who has never had the desire to fight, and will do everything he can to avoid doing so. He simply just doesn't want to hurt others, he'd much rather heal them or sew clothes for them as he finds a great deal of joy in helping others. He often gets embarrassed about his hight, arms, and teeth finding these aspects of himself to be unappealing. He's also incredibly clumsy often getting himself into hilariously unusual situations, an example is that he often accidentally sets off his Uncle's traps. That said he can be insanely attractive and not even realize it, many monsters have expressed a love of his voice, kindness, and humility. His favorite thing to eat is Alfredo pasta however he prefers it made with bowtie noodles his reasoning is the bowties make the the pasta cooler. He can be a bit of a mom friend and often acts as if he's attention starved this isn't because of a lack of love from his mother and uncle however, but because until Frisk arrives Papyrus had little to no friends whatsoever. Papyrus can create spider silk from his finger tips much like his mother however he typically uses this skill in sewing not combat, if he applied it in combination with his skeletal attacks he could become a fearsome opponent however this will likely never happen as he despises fighting.

NEUTRAL ROUTE

When Frisk arrives they try to safely go down the main entrance however upon going down the rope snaps causing them to have a terrible fall. Papyrus finds them soon after and immediately tends to their wounds. Once healed he seems excited to meet a human for the first time asking shyly if they would want to 'hang out' as he guides them through the ruins. Along the journey he tells them about the state of the underground, about his mother, his uncle, his father, but will get nervous if they ask why there are no other monsters in the ruins. Upon reaching the empty house he excitedly makes them Alfredo pasta, makes them a scarf, and ask them to be his new friend. After eating and resting if Frisk ask where the exit of the Ruins is Papyrus will attempt multiple times to change the subject. If they insist he will claim it's time for bed and wander off, after which when Frisk descends to the exit he will appear behind them before panicking to run in front of them telling them that they aren't allowed to leave. A confrontation ensues and as they fight Papyrus will repeatedly beg them to stay in the Ruins, as their HP runs out his attacks will begin to miss them on purpose. Eventually he'll stop and ask one more time for them to stay falling to his knees before them, when they insist on leaving he finally breaks and agrees to let them go but ask that they still be his friend. From there he will guide them out but warns them to be extremely careful not just because guardsmen could be out, but because his brother is often out 'hunting' and has multiple traps. Lastly he tells them if they should run into his mother or Uncle Sans…to immediately run away as fast as possible. Later during the final battle Papyrus will show up often healing them and others throughout the battle only if they agree to he his friend.

GENOCIDE ROUTE

Any time Frisk kills Papyrus the end result is ALWAYS a genocide route, the loss of him is too much for Grizelda and Sans to take driving them both completely over the edge. Regardless of whatever other monsters they kill or don't kill, slaying Papyrus is an automatic death sentence in a way. If the play should kill him Papyrus will thank them for at least spending time with him, should they attack him after being spared he will say "oh I…I feel cold…is this…dad? Dad it's me I…I am coming to see you…sorry mom …" Before dusting.

TRUE PACIFIST ROUTE

So long as Frisk has not slayed Papyrus, any other monsters, the guardsmen, and befriended Papyrus, Grizelda, Undyne, Alphys, Toriel, Sans, and Fate it is considered a true pacifist route. After the climatic battle against Fate, Frisk will lace their hand with Papyrus's and exit the mountain slowly with the others. In the time skip it's shown that Papyrus has become a well know fashion designer and is sewing new clothes for Grizelda while Sans is tattooing clients in the background.

HISTORY

Papyrus is the son of Grizelda and Gaster, his birth being a miracle as it was unclear whether or not Grizelda would be able to even have children given her Amalgamated state. After his father is killed and he's born, Grizelda and Sans end up raising him with Sans being more like a Father figure and Brother rather than an Uncle. As a babybones it's said he was very happy and outgoing in the beginning but one day this fact got him into trouble. He had been playing in the village when after running into the forest to get a ball he runs into a guardsmen sneaking into Snowdin. The Dog monster proceeds to interrogate him, threatening and tormenting him to make him give information on his guardians that he doesn't have. As the guardsmen threatens to hurt him further Grizelda shows up knocking the guard out with venom before comforting Papyrus. After this Papyrus became shy and anxious around others often wanting to play with other kids but afraid to leave the safety of home. To give him more confidence back his mother used methods of magic and science to skin the dog monsters fur into a coat doing so while the guardsman was still alive yet paralyzed. As he aged Papyrus would rarely leave home unless it was to do healing work or mending clothes for the citizens of Snowdin. When Frisk arrives Papyrus is so astonished at seeing a human and after getting to know them wants to truly become their best friend. Frisk will actually give Papyrus the courage to leave his home and eventually Snowdin to assist them to the battle to come.

Also I want to again remind that while Oni is not Papyrus's brother had the code of the AU not been corrupted and distorted they would have been brothers. This is also another reason why Monarch's favorite type of insect wings are those of butterflies. They cause ripples similar to the butterfly effect, distorting time and space for their own amusement. Violentale is unable sadly to be fixed even by others as are any other AUs Monarch tries to 'play' with, all that can be done for them is to try to help them reach a True Ending scenario.

Appearance

Sans is a skeleton with a few gold modifications made to his body to reinforce bones that were damaged by Undyne. He dislikes shirts and opts to wear a tattered edgy blue and red hoodie zipped open with red edgy pants and a black gold studied belt. His most obvious body modification is the two gold horns on his skull he also has red and yellow eyes instead of blue. His eye lights are mismatched now due to his consumption of Monsters. His teeth were sharpened and capped in gold, his ecto is Red with flecks of yellow. He usually wears a predatory expression, and although it may be hard to believe he once looked much like Classic Sans.

Personality

Sans is originally much like the Classic version of himself, but after seeing his brother murdered,  and his psyche breaking as a result of consuming monsters he becomes insanely unstable with severe violent tendencies. He usually puts on a polite front till he gets his target relaxed then he immediately switches to a sadomasocist reveling in their shock an example of this being when Frisk sees them behead a Monster beside them offering it to them as a dead dog. He has a morbid sense of humor, and his gentle side only shows to those closest to him. He does have an appreciation for art and he actually enjoys body modification although originally he began it because after his actions he didn't want to recognize himself in the mirror.

Neutral Route

He will show up as Frisk leaves the Ruins with Papyrus to warn them that their being watched before disappearing. Then he shows up again to have dinner with Frisk at Grillby's where he suddenly threatens them about Grizelda. Later its revealed that he set all the traps that nearly killed them and as they walk he decapitates a Monster offering it to them. If Frisk kills a Monster Sans will shurg before asking if they ate it, and offer to help if they intend to kill Fate.

Judgement

If Frisk has not killed a single Monster a fight shortly ensues but can be defused. However if they have killed Papyrus, or hurt Grizelda he won't stop till he's killed them or killed by them.

True Pacifist Route

Sans won't understand why their being so nice to everyone especially the gaurd. He will repeatedly try to kill them out of confusion at their actions. By the end a fight ensues and if you keep dodging and reminding him of who he was he eventually softens. He'll help you fight Fate and save Grizelda, afterwards claiming your stuck with them now. On the surface the monsters begin to share their knowledge with humans and in the Epilogue Sans has become a tattoo artist. However it's a cover because he's actually a hitman for hire, and he particularly enjoys targeting criminals. He no longer eats monsters but has to continue to take Venom to ease his mental illness he's developed.

History

Sans like Gaster lost their parents to the war as Skeleton Monsters were some of the first on the battle field. He is no more than a teen when their sent Underground and he like Classic greatly missed the Stars. He was highly intelligent like his brother, and he even was apart of the designs for the CORE. After Fate enters the Underground however, Sans saw him as he truly was, a lying murder. He argues with Gaster on whether they should even be helping him given what Sans sees in him. After the Snowdin expedition Sans feels justified in his beliefs, and is overjoyed when Gaster sees the truth about Fate. He fully supports his brothers love and he begins to love living in Snowdin. When he finds out after doing a routine exam on Grizelda that she's pregnant he cries in joy that he's gonna be an Uncle. When Griz suddenly goes wild and runs off he chases her and sees Gaster die at the hands of the guard. He like Grizelda flies into a rage attacking them until they retreat. Despite the pain he tries to be there for Griz, the pair never have the same level of relationship she had with his brother but they do become like siblings. So much so when he sees her pain in eating monsters he begins eating them with her. It becomes an addictive taste, as does the feeling of fighting. However this greatly begins effecting his magic and his psyche as he has a mental breakdown. He goes on killing sprees developing a sadistic streak tormenting the criminals he finds, and finding joy if they manage to hurt him. One day he takes things too far and attacks Undynes father the previous captain before Fate in the middle of Waterfall. He has a long fight, but wins killing the soldier with his own spear before putting his dusting head on the pike. Undyne attacks him for this, and still weak from the fight he'd just finished can't do much to stop her attacks. She nearly kills him, but before she can land a final blow Griz shows up attacking her giving the citizens of Snowdin time to practically scrape him up and run. He finds out that every citizen donated their gold to Grillby so a cast could be made to fix his bones which were so shattered magic did little to help them physically. This was a wake up call that made him see he had 'issues' and asked Grizelda to give him Venom doses as the Venom has natural properties that cause a relaxing high. He found pride in his new appearance realizing he didn't want to to be the same person he once was anymore he did several body modifications to look how he felt inside. He'd unintentionally earned the name 'The Excutioner' from the many monsters underground even being called a 'Devil' at times. He decides to focus the majority of his hatred on Fate, and swears to end the pain he brings to those around him. Sans is initially distrustful of Frisk because of what happened to his parents, but tries in the beginning because of Papyrus liking them. While ultimately their actions determines how he feels in the end, he does see a lot of himself in Frisk. He believes this may be part of why his darker side wants to corrupt them into the same type of person he's become. Violent and Unpredictable.
