My friends made me watch kpop demon hunters yesterday, and i loved it, and I’ve been hopelessly hyperfixated on CRK, and now i see a crossover??????

Im so here for it, i love the character (in both)

If you’re ever up for it, I’d love to see more of the candy apple and black sapphire for this au! I love both of them and i also love Derpy and Sussy (the sillies… all of them)

But anyways, i love your art! Its super good!

Wanted to make the designs for these two as soon as I thought of their roles– but I also wanted to wait till I'm done with ancients' fits and get to the beasts cuz as I've learned, Derpy and Sussy/Sussie are spirit animals :D!!

Not a type of demon (which is why they could freely walk around the human world and use the honmoon to teleport and stuff :O) So I was thinking of maybe designing each beast along with their minions as their spirit animals similar to how Shmilk has Candy and Sapphire (mayyybe, not sure if I'll go that far but well see :D )

[Some notes on a bit of design choices: ]

Candy Apple similar to our Kibby Derpy is a tiger! But specifically a White Tiger or Baekho (백호)!

Wanted to give Candy Apple red fur at first but figured she looked too much like our gurl Nutmeg

Candy used to have a bow on her chest similar to her cookie fit when she was still kibby sized, but Sapphire kept stealing it. To solve this Shmilk took the bow's fabric and reused it into a tying ribbon seen on Sapphires hat ^ and got two ribbons for Candy Apple to compensate, but it kept falling so he kept tying it to the point it now looks like horns.

Before you lock in with k pop demon hunters I have some ideas for hobbies after the incident in sugarcoated

Mystic flour still knits but she now works at a retirement home as a nurse, cloud hatte is a service dog and peach blossom is another nurse

Burning spice is a quarterback and is either the leader of the hooligans or second in command and the spice tribes are the hooligans, nutmeg tiger is right under him

Shadow milk still reads and draws, but he has been reading less after the incident and transitioned to theater and he is now the Regina George of the theater kids, black Sapphire and Candy apple are similar to Gretchen and Karen respectively

Sugers family owns a bakery (you mentioned she likes to bake) pavlova and sugerfly work for her parents and are forced to be happy at work. Sugerfly has dyed hair to substitute her wings and her and pavlova can have a look/body positivity and romance subplot.

Silent salt as you mentioned became emo, but he also volunteers at the local Catholic Church (based off the September leak)

An elder fairy had at least white lily as a girlfriend

OMG HEY ITS YOU AGAIN!!

Your ideas are literally so close to what I have in mind ashdkfh– before I rant and doodle dump on you, White Lily as EFaerie's gf or at least another very close friend similar to Mystic is one of my biggest HCs that I have with him–

Plus the idea of Shmilk changing his interests over time are so on point like are you sure you're not digitally reading my mind 😰

Putting aside the possibility you're somehow a digital telepath, here are my current ideas for the hobbies of the Real-world gang ^^!!

[QUICK WARNING: VERY LONG POST AHEAD!]

1) You're right about Mystic being a nurse!! Although before that hc, I thought of making her take a course in psychology, but felt her being a nurse fit her healer role much more. I also always had the hc of Haetae being her pet doggo, he's one the reasons she slowly got out of her depressy state :D so your idea of him being a service dog is right on!

Ooo and Peach blossom being a fellow nurse is something I never thought of, but definitely welcome! Peach Blossom was lowkey one of my favorites when I first started CRK, so this is a win-win for me 😋

Though instead of also being a nurse I think I'll hc him taking a course phycology instead! These two will be roommates in the collage their at ^^

I've also mentioned before she's a mix of Hero and Kel, and leaning more onto Hero's side, her decision of becoming a nurse was more of an grief-stricken choice (Kind of similar to how Hero wanted to be a chef, but decided to follow his parents wish of him becoming a doctor after Mari's death). Mystic, with her talent in embroidery, crochet, and sewing in general, wanted to be a tailor or fashion designer. But after the "accident" with Faerie, she held severe guilt of not being able to somehow help and feared of having something similar happen to the kids. So setting aside her dream, she instead pursued a path in the medical field.

2) BSpice being a quarterback is not too far off! He dabbles in a lot of sports and reasons that it's because he gets 'bored' too easily when he stays in one. But kind of similar to Spice's destructive deppresies in game, it's more due to the numbness caused by EFaerie's passing and everyone drifting apart, which he tries to satiate with the thrill he finds in sporty activities.

And about Nutmeg tiger, she's basically the equivalent of Kim in this AU! Spice and the spice tribes as the hooligans are a definite must ✊

ALSO! I know I gave Shmilk the drawing hobby, but I've decided that he did AFTER the accident, before, Spice was more of the artist of the group and the reason why Shmilk got into drawing in the first place! But after the trauma beam he kinda gave up on it.

And I know that this isn't related to hobbies, but similar to a lot of modern aus, I head canon him to have indian roots ^^! They usually have a big families and Spice's was no exception. He visits family funerals almost all the time, though they usually live pretty far and he wasn't really close enough to know them well– he finds himself used to funerals and all that. So his reaction to Faerie's passing kinda went not very goody

This also relates to him being the Herald of change :D Born, grow, and wither, that's what they all do, and all that stuff!

3) As you've mentioned, Shmilk does gradually read less books after the "accident", but not because he lost interest in the hobby but more due to EFaerie's passing being the talk of the town for a while and constantly being written in news papers. Along with this, EFaerie had a hobby of reading a lot himself and was very interested in entomology (the study of bugs), and was especially knowledgeable in butterflies! He's also the reason why Shmilk got into insect assigning as well. Due to this, after the "accident" Shmilk avoids reading any books related to Faerie's interests and it kinda branched out from there. He also gained a sort of love/hate relationship with bugs, especially butterflies (he avoids them like the plague– Spice makes fun of him a lot for this and thinks it's because he's just scared of them)

Also! Him becoming a theater kid is so real, and the deceit trio being the theater's mean girls?? I CAN SEE IT LOL– although the current idea I have in mind which can kinda match with yours is that Shmilk slowly got more into arts and stuff after avoiding reading for a little while.

Again, re-using my old hc that Spice was the artist of the group, Shmilk learned how to draw from him and also learned how to make plushies and stuffed toys from Mystic! He found this as a pretty nice past time after the "accident", making plushies of all his friends when they all drifted apart.

Dunno if I'll go with him being a theater kid, but I'll definitely consider it when I finally get to making their real world designs, especially with theater needing him to be an actor– which perfectly fits him!! He'll definitely be meeting Candy Apple and Black Sapphire through his new found artsy hobbies tho

4) YES SUGAR'S FAM DOES OWN A BAKERY! I know most of these head canons are a given, but your ideas lowkey always hit bullseye like what,,,

Anyways, Sugar's family having a bakery is also another call back to the garden of delights which is also their Bakery's name! It tries to offer the best service, so all it's employees are required to smile all the time– And yes Pavlova and Sugarfly will be working here! (ALSO– Sugarfly having dyed hair to substitute for her wing situation?? THATS SO COOL ACTUALLY I'M PUTTING THAT IN)

Her house is similar to Marinette's house from Miraculous Ladybug!! House on top, bakery on the bottom (heh,,, get it,, 'cause,,,,,,,,ok I'm gonna stop ) . This is also important for one of the big plot points of the AU, a bakery has equipment and tools needed to bake, and a lot of these tools can be pretty sharp

Like,,, really sharp,,,

(Swapped their injuries in the 'Basil Fight'! Don't mind Basil's bedroom wallpaper, their meant to be fighting in the kitchen– Sugar may have Sunny's role, But Shmilk will be taking the eye damage so he can get the same heterochromic look his og design has– (I'm so so sorry my traumatized babyboy it's for the plot I swear)

5) Silent volunteering in the Church is actually a really nice idea :O!! I'll be adding that in as well if that's okay with you :]! Now I'll definitely add more to Silent and his possible hobbies once he releases and we get to know him more but for know, one of my current ideas is that before the accident, he usually didn't speak much, but when it's something he's interested in or feel deeply about, he could rival Shmilk in a yapping contest

6) As I've mentioned, EFaerie really likes butterflies :D This is kind of a small call back to how he's the fairy king and stuff but he also got into it when he found out that their one of the many insects that are attracted to lilies! Very smol fact but he ranted to Lily about and she thought it was cute ^^

Another hc is that once he got into the butterflies and lilies rabbit hole– he branched out to learning about botany. He learned more about different flora and fauna– which led him to choose the tree that eventually became their tree house!

This is this AUs version of the silver tree AND the Omori gang's tree house where you can find the treasure chest! Which doesn't imply anything bad at all :D!!!

Oof and that's all I can think of for now! Thank you so much for sharing your awesome ideas with me!! They're so creative and I could never have thought of half of these :O
