You can't argue with the "no platonic explanation for this" truthers because if you tell anecdotes about times you did that with your platonic friends they'll just assume that it's because you're actually secretly in love with your friend and too repressed to admit it. And if you tell them about a time you did it with a family member they'll make the same assumption and then call you gross for being in romantic love with your family member. And if you point out that ace or aro people do those things sometimes they'll tell you that ace and aro people are made up. They have the same answer for everything and that answer is to tell you to your face that you don't know what emotions you're experiencing. The only way to handle them is to just make pitying noises and say, "I'm sorry for you," and then never speak to them again

tbh I'm frustrated because Helena and Jason interacting is a cool thing and could be rad but the well is poisoned because we're running with "We Need To Talk About Kevin" Jason, which is a fundamentally different character and can't access the same conversation that I wanna see.

I specifically want immediate post-No Man's Land, Cry For Blood Huntress to interact with post-Under The Red Hood, pre-& The Outlaws Jason. But the characters have not been those people for yonks now and I'm not really interested in seeing a conversation between this Jason and this Helena.

They have nothing interesting to say to each other because instead of being the boy Batman failed and the woman Batman wouldn't let have a chance because she reminds him of the people he failed, it's like... idk, this is a vastly inferior version of the thing I want and is not for me.
