Random thought, but you know how in TTRPGs everyone seems to be half deaf? Like hundreds of pounds of metal or stone can crumple from a thunderclap and it's rare that even the next room notices, when in reality you so much as trip and the whole house seems to notice? Obviously it's just for mechanical reasons, like to stop half the dungeon from joining the second you start the first encounter. But I have an idea for all the fantasy ones at least.
Magic is quite literally thick in the air, and it's insulating. The weave of magic muffles the world like a dense fog, diffusing sound each time it passes through endless layers of magic and mundane. Its natural buzz drowning out footsteps like a rainstorm. You near the world of the fey and things become much more vibrant and loud, because that's where the veil over our world is thin. Thier world is soaked in magic, every creature and blade of grass. Same with our world, devoid of that thick fog of magic. Not as vibrant as the fey, sound travels better through water than even the clearest of air. But still better than where they mix.

Yeah just finished my first set of playthroughs+secret bosses, gonna go back for the next few days for more in-depth ones. HOLY SHIT IS WAS THAT AMAZING, everything I could've wanted and more! but one thing I'm not seeing anyone mentioning about after the Chapter 3 secret boss (probably cause that was HARD AS HELL and took me hours) (mild spoilers)
Is that you apparently only need 5 shadow crystals for whatever Seam is cooking up. Did I miss him saying that earlier or was that new to beating this boss? Are there 2 extra for people who can't beat some of the bosses? Are there only 5 and there's something new for the last 2 chapters? Are there extras and something happens if you skip certain ones? I need to KNOW!
...also like obviously 10,000 other questions buzzing through my mind, but that's what other playthroughs are for. Also yes, I have a save file at the start-ish of chapter 4 to replay that whole shipper's delight sequence on command XD
Happy Deltarune tomorrow! I'll be unresponsive for a bit, enjoying Deltarune tomorrow. And tomorrow. And tomorrow. Did I mention I played Chapter 1 & 2 8 times consecutively last launch? Not as many this time probably since I've got constant duties to take care of, but I'm going to be out for a bit. Don't worry, next script is mostly written already, I'm prepared XD

And finally, the actual video where I talk about all these! I spent...way too long on that one, had some IRL stuff to get through. 2 months apart isn't my usual. Also, happy Anniversary. We'll only get better from here! :D
You know the drill- frog edition!
Finally dropping this episode, just in time for me to descend into a haze of Deltarune tomorrow. This time with a slight issue however.
As you may be aware, some sort of unknown issue wiped out most of the PF2e statblocks. HOWEVER. It thankfully mostly just took out the uncomplicated ones you could like 90% recreate with just a tweak of an existing monster. So in the actual video, I let you know "just slap this ability onto this monster, it's the same thing." given PF2e literally has abilities that say "it's just X monster's ability but with this tweak" I figured that would suffice given the circumstances. Cause sorry, I ain't missing Deltarune tomorrow: fr this time.
Anyway, we'll go Pathfinder stats, D&D stats, then the video as usual.
PF2e: Apocalypse Frog Swarm, Firetongue Frog, Hydroloth, Leech Toad Swarm, Banderhobb, Titanic Toad. Also a quick version of the old Rain of Frogs spell from 1e, and Frog Plague's just summoning a swarm of apocalypse frogs. Old and highly specific form of spell, but thought I'd throw it in.
#The ending bit is referenceing that in lore#In one of those drinking nights like shown in the Rogue episode Vivi and Amelia had a drunken one night stand#They don't know how to process it. Vivi deals by trying not to think about it (constantly). Amelia deals by teasing.#They both don't realize they like each other. Yes I know. But they are my little useless lesbians and I love them.

5e- you get the
Titanic Toad, Ghoul Frog, Firetongue Frog, Apocalypse Frog, Concert Frog, Leech Frog, Sporeback Frog, Spined Toad, Slurk, Groplit aka Grinning Toad, Tripkee, Boggard, Mobogo, Isqulug, Bloody Hands. And rain of frogs/frog plague. That's a lot more, but maybe WotC should make/port over so better frogs to begin with.

The tablet I got came in wrong, wireless instead of wired (my computer doesn't have bluetooth). But the new one comes in today, so I'll finally be able to start sketching for the playthrough! It'll be a bit now, because I'm going to be scrambling to get this episode done before deltarune and then...well, playing deltarune. But now I'll get to start during the downtime when I have a chance XD
And yes this is an excuse for me to get into drawing. I used to be super into it casualty but that was like half a lifetime ago. Can't hurt to rekindle that a bit :3

...pf2e.monster.tools just fucked up majorly. I guess there must've been a sync issue with my account or something? I just lost like a week of work. like 16 fucking monsters, complicated ones. Some of those individual abilities took me like an hour+ for wording and a test to make sure it felt right. I've never done this before, but I think I'm just not redoing them. It feels incredibly wrong. But I don't have the fuckin time.

Whoops I mean to make that last poll 1 day not a week, force of habit. Little Trouble was wrecking everyone, but in hindsight I feel like I split the vote unfairly by putting "player vs capitalism" and "player vs the ruling class" on the same poll. "Little creatures raiding a basement for trinkets" wasn't divided like that, you know? So lets do 1 more round. Again, this will be us going through it with me giving choose-your-own-adventure style polls. With occasional open-ended questions and getting options from you to choose from.
The Great Toy Heist- You are a group of living toys who love your creator. One day however, an evil banker uses legal loopholes to steal the deed to your shop, handing your friend the eviction notice personally! We'll choose a toy (or create one together) and heist to get our home back!
Little Trouble in Big Absolom- A poor group of kobolds living under a city mines thier way into a hoard of unknown riches (a large basement). Can you secure the riches for your clan?

Actually...why wait. I'm planning on doing a sort of mock-campaign over streams in the coming months. Wanna do a trial run on tumblr? Here on this blog? We could go text adventure style, with polls for each next move! Go through one of the pathfinder adventures! Hell, I just got my first drawing tablet today, I could practice art for the first time in forever by scribbling what happens ne- *staggers under the weight of a homestuck flashback*
...I'll lock in. let me do some more editing on this episode, since I've actually got some friends wanting to do stuff and need to catch up. But after I'll read one of the one-shots.

oooh, adding on. Vivi's the sassy, spiteful, confident, "do your worst, fuck you" type. But she has a weak spot in actual affection and turns into a sputtering blushing wreck. Get her drunk she might wind up flirting first, but absolutely cannot handle being flirted with back.
Amelia is your demure, innocent, shy little creature who's always polite and somewhat formal unless truly pissed...but an absolute gremlin with flirting if she likes a person. Vivi going panicky is cute so she keeps doing it, but obviously it means Vivi doesn't like her back and just doesn't want to hurt her. And Vivi thinks it's obviously her just trying to get a reaction, revenge for the constant sass. It's just friendly teasing, right? fuck, when I get money next month I neeeeeed to commission some yuri.
So I've been wracking my brain to solve a channel lore problem, aka something that probably only matters to me XD The whole premise of Vivi being an intern is that she's not getting money from work because she's not technically hired (not getting ad revenue). Instead she's getting by on tips from the campus coffee shop (Ko-fi). But I'm about to hit 1000 people, which means I've just gotta lock in with a few streams and get the watch hours. So what do I do? I like the whole "Vivi getting screwed over by an asshole boss" thing, don't want to lose that. And it finally occurred to me.
The answer to this problem is the answer to my real life problems, but actually obtainable here! Yuri!
Ever since that party after the rogue episode, Vivi and Amelia have a sort of will-they-won't-they-what-are-we relationship. Aka they've screwed around but are too busy being useless lesbians to think the other actually has feelings. They're definitely just friends with benefits or it was just a drunken fling or something, surely that doesn't mean she LIKES me! And Vivi knows it could never happen if she's hired as a normal employee because there're rules against that. So she is literally turning down actually paid employment for the dream of one day getting with a girl she likes and lowkey flirts with, but would never actually make a move on. Which is exactly the sort bullshit I would pull, how did I never think of that!
And then if I ever get big enough to go full-time, they'll actually get together in the worst-kept secret relationship ever. Like "Of course we're not dating, I've just been training her in magic on the side, that's why she was at my house again last night. Yeah of course our clothes are messy, magic's messy work. Figured you'd know that Miss 'I can't fold the sheets for my office's 3 beds without using magic,' maybe you should experiment more. No, that made her blush because she really likes making potions. O-of course we were practicing on Valentines Day, we're both single so we had free time!"
It's the perfect solution! Especially since this year I've really been lowkey shipping my little lesbians!

...A windows update came without warning while I was in the bathroom, lost the document I was working on. The document was me condensing and organizing all the ideas I've had that've been hastily written down.
I just lost literally every channel, video, and stream idea I've had in the last 3 years. apparently on this new computer I hadn't properly set up autosave with libreoffice. Things almost always go catastrophic on my birthday, but they usually at least let me fucking have breakfast first.

So apparently Deltarune is actually launching on the 4TH for us PC players. or anything not switch 2. Since that's actually just earlier in the day japan time. I'm...actually sad? Like I fronted for a hotel room for my roommate and his boyfriend for the 6th/7th to make sure I had the house free, so I could experience it. but now I'll also have to disconnect from the internet for 2 days unless I want everything spoiled, and in doing so miss the fun opening fandom flood :(
