imagine after the war, giyuu opening the door when he got a knock at 3am, bleary-eyed and tired, seeing sanemi standing there soaked to the bone. giyuu like wha are you okay come in ARE YOU CRYING- OH NO- and comforting him, getting tea and hurrying to get a towel and blanket, throwing logs and a couple matches into the fire place. sanemi exhausted and resting his head on the kotatsu(/table) as giyuu drapes a blanket over him and almost spilling tea everywhere in his haste. asking him what was wrong, hugs and cuddles. sanemi starting off mumbling incomprehensibly about genya and then saying iguro (?? giyuu couldn’t understand) and how they all left him alone and how he should’ve protected shinobu for kanae and how gyomei and sanemi used to be close-ish, at least they were friends, and then sanemi lapsing into a blubbering mess, falling asleep in giyuu’s arms with fresh salty tracks trailing down his cheeks. giyuu waking up later at noon with a note of apology and some salmon daikon<3

idk i dont see enough sanemi angst and i love him just collapsing w/ emotional exhaustion and going to giyuu for support 😞 i love them help
