Hello, Social Media friends :) Today I have BIG NEWS to share: Anyone who knows me well knows that I love to draw #cartoons and sometimes anime characters, most notably the animal-like creatures known as #Pokémon. Since 2010, I have tested my skills as an artist by #drawing at least one picture of every Pokémon out there (and by now there are over 800 of them) on a journey that has since brought me to draw 269 different Pokémon within the first 3 Generations, #kanto, #johto & #hoenn. Three years ago (back in 2014), I started my 3rd Pokémon Artwork series (some of which are pictured here), but I was forced to put this project on hiatus after my laptop computer stopped working. The same computer was later fixed, but by then I was already very busy with either finding a job or going to work, and later on, I was busy with school, among many other things in life. And yet through it all, my passions for drawing continued, as did my memories of connecting with other Pokémon fans like you from other countries around the world. But just like with everything else, doing these things take time, so I knew some scheduling & time management would be needed to get more things done. So, after making some progress in LASIK to improve my eyesight, school homework, work shifts, I am now excited to announce that this 3rd Artwork series, called "Pokémon: Generation III Hoenn", is set for an official reboot later this month! More details will be posted later on about when the new pictures come, and which new Pokémon you'll see drawings of. But for now, I'll say that I'm planning to finish the Hoenn series by sometime in 2018. In the meantime, I’ll be posting some Work In Progress sketches on #Instagram, #Twitter & #Snapchat (I'm @vladplantin360 on them all). And, of course, the completed versions will be posted to the same old photo album on my #Facebook, too. Wish me good luck, everyone! :D (at Pataskala, Ohio)

On June 16th, 2017, my #Walmart had a big #remodel opening #ceremony, after the store's management spent $4.5 million in #renovations. To celebrate our finished work, we cut a #ribbon opening the public to visit (even though customers were inside the building already, since we run for 24-hours lol). #Nickelodeon had its annual #KidsChoiceAwards yesterday, which I love to watch every year, for the winners, the performances AND for the #slime! ^_^ So I made my own little #collage on #MicrosoftPaint: It has all the #KCA #logos - one for every year in the award show’s #history, from 1987 to 2017 (I like to post a new updated one with the current logo every year, too). #KCAs See you guys in 2018!

It has been a honor to call Barack Obama my President, while also looking to him as a hero & as one of my all-time top role models; I personally felt able to relate more to him than to any other U.S. President: we're both black Americans, raised by single mothers & later stepfathers, grandmothers who passed away in 2008, lovers of science, science fiction, & of learning to do new things in the modern world. From his election, his words & from his actions, he's taught me how to be a good leader, to always believe in myself, work hard, and never give up hope on my dreams to do great things. And yet, he's also shown how & why one can & should always be humble and kind, even with fame & success, and that true power is all about what you give to others, more so than what you take for yourself. He's shown and told me about not only the possibility, but also the importance, of good balance between raising a family & pursuing a career, even one as the busiest & most difficult job in the world. Right now I'm single, and I've never had my own kids, but someday I want my next girlfriend to be a lot like Michelle Obama: beautiful, healthy & stylish on the outside, but also smart, fun-loving, and benevolent to all kinds of people on the inside. If I someday ever have my own children, I hope I can as responsible, attentive and loving as a father to them, as Obama was to his daughters, so they can grow up to be just as great, if not greater, than Malia & Sasha. This day marks the end of Obama's time as the 44th President of the United States, but no day will ever mark the end of his historic impact - not on America, not on the world, and not on me. His time in office may have lasted only 8 years, but many of the examples he set will inspire me for the rest of my life. No matter who is President from now on, I'll always remember to look back to former Presidents like Obama for guidance as I move forward in life, along with Washington, Lincoln, the Roosevelts, Kennedy & Reagan. So for now, I end this post not with goodbye, but with his eternal message to the American people, "Yes We Can".

Today, for my first time ever, I am #thankful for learning how to use #Photoshop to recreate a #crayon-colored art piece of mine. This #Pokemon known as #Pikachu was drawn/colored by me in 2010, but with the updates, I was able to fill in the white specks in-between, making the color solid and fuller :)

Here are my six top New Year's Resolutions for 2017 through 2020, as represented by the photo aside: 1. Work at @Walmart & Manage Money: I'm going to work as hard as I need to to be sure my current job is kept, while making sure the money I earn is well-managed, and that balance is kept between my work, school and social lives, from now through 2020. I also want to open up my own first checking account, and by 2020 I want to get to use my first credit card as well, as both will be needed for online purchases. 2. Start off the United Cartoons: Before 2020, I want to start off an online art company of my own named the United Cartoons, which will be about original comic strips & animations featuring cartoon and/or superhero characters from various companies coming together to meet in crossover stories. In the longer term (after 2020), I'd like to see the United Cartoons promoting intercompany co-operation to improve on entertainment, education, human relations & rights, and environmental protection worldwide. 3. Enroll in the Columbus College of Art and Design: I learned that @CCADedu is one of the top colleges for artists & designers in the United States, but is also one of the most expensive. So in 2017, I'll study at the lower-cost college I go to now, which is Central Ohio Technical College (@COTCedu), and later on have the credits transferred from this school to the next, which in the long run should lower my overall tuition costs. I will also study to earn my GED in the meantime, in order to be qualified to transfer to CCAD. This will be a crucial step towards the career in animation I've dreamed of for years, so I want to be closer to that point by 2020. 4. Meet & Make New Friends IRL: I want to connect with people with whom I share certain common interests online, with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. And I also want to make new friends offline, in local areas like at school, work, church, my neighborhood, and at downtown comic conventions. 5. Learn How To Travel Globally: For years, I got to meet a lot of new online friends via social media from across America and around the world, so I want to take chances to meet some of those people IRL, which a (at United States)
