What's your favorite Parker Lee and Meg fan fiction?

My favorite Parker Lee fic is easy.

“Truth For a Dream” by my darling @absolutelyiris. One of the great Logan/Parker friendship fics in existence. I’ve read it a stupid number of times, and will continue to read it until the day I die. (i’m rereading it right now since i got the link to put here, just ftr)

Meg Manning, however, is harder. There’s a lot of GOOD Meg fics out there, but many of them don’t get her personality quite right, or are AU which, for the purpose of this ask, I’m not counting.

Like, I LOVE “Mr. Darcy Comes to Neptune (aka THAT DARCY SHIT)” by @vmsteenbeans, but it’s an AU retelling of Pride & Prejudice, sooooo…. it’s not “really” “our” Meg.

Hm. I have to say the first thing that comes to my head when you ask for Meg fic is PROBABLY…. “For the Sake of a Friend” by jacedesbff, who I have no idea whether she has a tumblr or not. It’s AUish, in that it’s an alternate telling of events on the show, but these are my rules and I’m arbitrary, so fuck it. It’s got some lovely Logan/Veronica and Meg/SURPRISE MYSTERY (it’s Weevil. it’s right there in the tags. so sorry for ruining the surprise.)

There are a lot of other very good to great fics featuring our (other) favourite blondes in them, and if you’re keen to see what other people have recommended, I highly suggest visiting @imkait and @nevertothethird‘s AMAZING fanfic-o-rama @vmficrecs and searching through the tags.

In fact. Since I am an honest Puck, if we have unearned luck, now to ‘scape the serpent’s ton… wait. That’s a whole other thing.

The Curse of WIPs

Does anyone else just get randomly so depressed about the amazing unfinished Veronica Mars WIPs out there?

Just thought I'd write this post to plead with a few authors. We have such amazing talent in this fandom - I just hope like anything they will return to finish these amazing stories.

I just re-read @mysilverylining's Surrender Dorothy. She has lots of amazing WIPs, but something about this one just gets to me. It's the perfect premise going back pre-season as if the show hadn't happened. Many people struggle to write pre-season 1 L/V well, and Lilly too - but ugh, it's so good. It breaks my heart this might not be updated ever. I *need* to know what happens. Off Grid @therealcactusbetty - I am actually obsessed with this fic. It's just beautiful and I'm about to re-read it AGAIN. Love the slow burn, hurt/comfort, misunderstandings, etc, and Logan as a cowboy, of course. So much amazingness. Next up is Mars and the Real Meaning of Christmas by @susanmichelin. It has so many of my favourite tropes - one bed, mutual pining, pretending to be in a relationship. Please tell me you will continue it? I need to know where Keith is, and see the Christmas fun break down their barriers.

For a Good Time/Call and Artificial Light @alilamba - going to be honest when I first read the premise I wasn't sure how I felt about Logan as a sex worker. Why, I don't know, it's actually genius! The first fic where Veronica and Piz hire Logan (just go with it!) is perfect, but the continuation is cherry on top. Similarly I love the set up of Artifical Light and would be so happy to see both continued. No Souvenirs @elliebear75 - another amazing premise, Logan and Veronica are some of the handful of people that survive the end of the world and are stuck on a ship together. I need to know what happens!! I know I've missed a load of WIPs, and I seem to spend half my life cursing WIPs exist as they break my heart, but glad they are for what we've got.
