Kiko lived in a small village, away from the cities, sadly because they were away from any civilization they were attacked. The village was burnt down, her family was killed, demons eating and killing whatever they could.

Kiko found her childhood friend, Akiko, and hid, it’s all they could do and hope to not be found, soon enough demon slayers arrived and took care of the threat, but they didn’t bother to search for survivors, leaving the girls alone in a bloodied and burned village.

They decided to set out, live on their own and swore to protect others, with hatred for the demon slayers in their hearts. They gathered intel on where to get weapons to use against demons, and found a swordsmith village and stole unfinished weapons. Kiko stole a pair of tekko kagi, with nichirin blades, they weren’t polished and perfectly crafted to completion but they did the job.

Kagaya soon found out about the girls little vigilante job, and didn’t appreciate it much, sent out hashira to try and collect the girls to bring them to the ubuyashiki mansion to talk to the man himself to try and convince the girls to change their ways.
