Hey everyone

It's pretty obvious by my constant inactivity on this blog but I just don't have the time to write anymore. I'm a full time college student with a part time night job and I just can't balance all my hobbies on top of it all. You all have been wonderful and being part of the voltron fanbase has been a true blessing. I'm not leaving tumblr just writing for this blog. I'm not completely inactive from social media though. I run an art account on instagram (heyo_its_z) if anyone is interested (don't feel obligated or anything only if u like my art and want to)

Hi! Been part of this for awhile but, don't be too surprised.... I'VE NEVER SEEN VOLTRON BEFORE!!! Anyway, I've only heard good things about it and am planning on watching it really soon! Wanted to ask your opinion and maybe some explanation on why it's the "Best Show Ever?" THANKS!

Sorry this is late I haven’t been active lately but here are my reasons why I love Voltron!

-beautiful character design -Shiro -great animation that progressively gets better as the show continues -Shiro -A+++ voice acting -Drool worthy character development -Takashi Shirogane -the show overall is very well written (until season 7 but that’s my personal opinion) -great balance of action and comedy -representation -smart and strong female leads -STRONG ASIAN LEAD (my inner Japanese rejoices) -Captain Shirogane -amazing filler episodes -well written plot -I don’t think I mentioned Shiro yet???

Hi again ill be requesting two so ill just be waiting patiently for those two i hope it doesnt bother you um ok i sent the first one . Now the second request since you liked my crystal memory shards um how about head cannons for lotor and shiro where they find their so shards that show she has adopted children back home and that all she wanted was to find a guy to love her and her kids (thank you your the best keep up the good work)

I got sorta cheesy with Shiro and a bit angsty with Lotor but I hope I got the prompt right!

Memory Shards w/ Shiro and Lotor

Shiro-it was just supposed to be a peaceful diplomatic mission -the paladins were to arrive on the planet to spread the word of the Voltron coalition -simple -a day without fighting and limited stress-but Hagar HAD to send a robeast to kill the paladins on that particular day -thankfully Voltron was formed in time and together the paladins and lions won the day -to thank them for saving the planet from utter destruction, the leader of the planet rewarded the paladins with strange looking glowing crystals -the paladins were told they were magic and with them they could see the person they loved the most -at first Shiro was nervous -it has been years since he had seen of heard from you -were you ok? -had you moved on?-eventually, the black paladin pushed all his worries aside and took hold of the crystal -he breathed the biggest sigh of relief when he saw you smiling -you were at your house with a little girl -…and she was calling you mommy -his heart stopped for a minute, (lots of scenarios going through his head) then he realized your daughter was at least five years old -since she was older than the time he had been gone, you must have adopted her -Shiro also caught sight of the engagement ring he had given you before he left still on your hand -he let out a breath he didn’t know he was holding in -looking at your eyes though, he saw…sadness? -realization hit him like a train -raising a daughter all by yourself must be difficult -a blessing yes, but lonesome at the same time-the vision ended and Shiro’s heart ached for you more than ever -he couldn’t wait to end this dumb war so he could be with you and meet his baby girl

Lotor-after what seemed like an eternity in the quintessence field, Lotor spotted a glowing crystal shard floating towards him-upon grabbing it, he immediately saw your smiling face -you were right where he left you, a small planet populated by peaceful aliens, hidden from the raging war -he sighed in relief to see you safe and sound -then he saw the children-they ran up and tacked you in hugs and you returned them lovingly-they walked with you to the safe house Lotor had prepared himself and it dawned on him that you had adopted these little ones in his absence -the children ran inside the house and your happy expression slowly melted as you looked up longingly at the sky -He instantly knew you were thinking about him and when he was coming back -You wanted him there with you so badly-the vision ended and Lotor snapped back to reality -with a new surge of determination, he clutched the crystal to his chest -he was going to get back to you somehow-no matter what

Like Poetry

Shiro x reader oneshot (pre-season 6)

You stand in front of Shiro’s door, grasping a piece of paper tightly in your hands. One dobash goes by. Your anxiety is what holds you back from simply slipping the clean white parchment underneath the door and running away to the safety of your own quarters. Two more dobashes tick by as you continue to mentally jinx yourself.

“This was a bad idea,” you think. Maybe you would build up the courage to come back and try again some other time. Just when you decide to give up on your mission, you hear the sound of someone clearing their throat behind you. Turning around, you are met face to face with the Black Paladin himself.

“Hey y/n” Shiro greets with a smile.

While doing the best that you can to stop the roaring rush of blood flooding to your face from becoming noticeable, you attempt your best dignified reply,

“Heeeeey wassup Shiro?” You mentally facepalm. What the heck was that? Why did you do that? He probably thinks you’re so weird right now.

“I just got back from reporting to Allura about our last mission,” he replies casually. Oh good it doesn’t seem like he cared about the weird way you greeted him. “Is there anything I can help you with, y/n?” Shiro asks.

“I-I..ummm,” you start to stutter as Shiro looks at you expectantly with his beautiful eyes. There’s no stopping the red darkening on your cheeks now. You decide that this your chance. Taking in a deep breath, you gather what little courage you can muster.

“herethisisforyouIhopeyoulikeitbye,” you quickly say in one breath, before shoving the now wrinkled piece of paper into Shiro’s hands.

“What is-” but before he can ask you anything, you’re gone. “I wonder what that was about…” he wonders to himself. Carefully unfolding the note, he uncovers a poem in your handwriting.

The way you lead this entire team, Makes me proud to stand with you. Your guidance helps me every day, It’s always right on cue. The way that you look out for us, And put others before your needs, It shows the kindness of your heart, Through all your selfless deeds. I guess what I am trying to say, Is basically “thank you”. Oh and I also like you a lot, ...do you like me too?

“Do you like me too?” Shiro reads the last line again, then the entire thing from the beginning. On the outside, he retains a consistent and calm facade, but inside, he’s a complete mess. “Y/N...likes me?” he whispers to himself, almost in disbelief. “Y/N L/N likes me….too?” Simply put, he’s ecstatic. Ever since he realized that he started to have feelings towards you, he immediately dismissed them as nothing more than a passing crush. But as time went on, he realized that his feelings weren’t exactly “going away”. With the war going on and what was currently at stake, he didn’t feel it was right to personally initiate anything romantic with you. You had your own set of problems to deal with and he didn’t want his personally feelings getting in the way. But now…?

Before he can even completely process his thoughts, Coran’s voice echoes throughout the castle.

“Everyone report to the bridge! We’ve received a distress signal and Voltron may be needed!”

“Now of all times..,” Shiro mutters to himself. With a disappointed sigh, he enters his room and gently places the note on his bed before suiting up for the mission.

As usual, Shiro is the first paladin to arrive at the bridge to meet Coran and Allura. Soon, you are striding in right behind the leader of Voltron, followed by Pidge. As everyone waits for the rest of the team to arrive, you do your best to sneak a few quick glances at Shiro’s (perfect) face.

“Did he read it?” you think to yourself. “He probably read it.” You try once more to read his expression when suddenly, both of your eyes meet. Realizing you’ve been caught, your eyes automatically snap forward while you try your very best to make your facial expression appear totally neutral. You feel Shiro’s eyes linger on you for just a moment longer before he also shifts his gaze. “He definitely read it.”

Before long, the rest of the paladins arrive and, after a short briefing, are off on another mission. Thankfully, it goes by successfully without many problems. Sure, Keith and Lance may have accidentally awoken an ancient space monster, but with your assistance to Allura and Coran in the castle and the formation of Voltron, the alien beast was vanquished without anyone being seriously injured.

Needless to say, it was some time before Shiro is able to return to his bedroom. He is greeted with the sight of your poem, which he so carefully placed on his bed before leaving earlier that day. Flopping down on the mattress, (being careful to not crush the paper) he begins to mull over his options. He wants to tell you how much you mean to him, so badly.

“But what they did was so...perfect,” he thinks as he stares at your careful handwriting. He wants to find the perfect way to convey his feelings. He wants to give you the best. You deserve the best. Then an idea strikes. As quickly as he can, he jumps out of bed and bolts to Pidge’s room to borrow a pen.

You sigh as you toss and turn in your bed. Of all nights, sleep chose this exceptionally emotional night to evade you. You couldn’t stop thinking about the events of the day. If Shiro hadn’t read the poem before the mission, he definitely would have read it by now. Cursing yourself for your impulsiveness, you decide to go and apologize to him. It was better than suffering in silence.

As soon as you step outside of your room, you are greeted by the Leader of Voltron himself. Jumping back slightly, in surprise you open your mouth to speak when he hands you a neatly folded piece of paper.

“This is for you,” Shiro said, smiling sheepishly. “I’m sorry it took me so long to reply.”

You hesitantly unfold the paper, your heart racing at a million miles an hour as a short poem, a haiku, is revealed in Shiro’s own handwriting.

Thanks for the poem

Your writing is beautiful

And I like you too

You suddenly look up at Shiro, then the poem’s last line again. Tears of joy start to well up in your eyes. You feel his arms slowly start to embrace you and you hug him back. The both you stay like that for a while, hugging in front of your bedroom, in comfortable silence. The moment feels like poetry, however no more words need to be said.

Can i request for if the paladins+Lotor have an S/O who is very childish and uplifting and is always trying to make others feel good but whenever they've done something wrong accidentally/just feel like they screwed up even if they didn't, they can't help but want to cry and will over-apologize Like they seriously take even small mistakes to heart if it's of their own accord but if someone else does it they're instantly trying to make them understand it wasn't their fault?

Paladins +Lotor x childish reader

Shiro -loves the fact that you’re usually always so happy and that you want everyone else to be happy too -your playful antics always make him smile -wishes he could be that carefree-you are constantly reminding him that he needs to have fun every once in a while -his mental health is really important dang it -one day during training, you disarm Lance by twisting his wrist a little harder than you meant to-you start tearing up as the paladin yelps in surprise -Shiro looks over and sees you freaking out and crying out apologies -DAD MODE ACTIVATED-quickly runs over to you and attempts to calm you down by assuring you that your sparing partner is ok -goes on to compliment on how much you are improving training wise -hugs for days with this blessed boi

Lance-super energetic optimistic couple -the two of you are always giggling to each other about something -you make him genuinely laugh when you stand behind Keith and mimic him without being noticed -together you guys help each other forget the stress of the war going on -one day in a skirmish, a laser grazes a weak spot in Lance’s armor and burns through, searing the flesh underneath -He heals up in seconds at the med bay but he is left with a small scar -you start to cry, blaming yourself saying that you should have somehow stopped it from happening -He of course tells you otherwise, saying that it wasn’t your fault -kisses you on the nose to get a smile and giggle out of you once again

Keith -you know how they say opposites attract? -well you and Keith are the embodiment of that very saying-you two are very different but somehow compliment each other so well? -your “child-like” outlook on life helps Keith to loosen up sometimes and to have fun every once in a while -you surprise Keith with a visit to the Blade ship that he is on -after a few meetings with some of the other Galran (for formalities and war updates) and you finally get some time alone with Keith you break down -Poor boy is confused and low key freaks out on why you are crying-you tell him that you think you messed up while talking to the other Blade members because they frowned the entire time you were there -breathing a sigh of relief that you aren’t injured, he goes on to comfort you the best that he can -explains that that everything is just like that due to the war and the severity of the missions going on -cue cute awkward Keith cuddles

Pidge -favorite activity is playing video games together in the evenings -the two of you always find time to spend some quality time together with multiplayer fighting or team based games you find at the space mall -it happens occasionally where you and Pidge lose a game/match -being met with the GAME OVER screen causes you distress and you start to apologize over and over to Pidge and blaming the loss on yourself-she in turn comforts you by reminding you that it’s just a video game and the most important thing is that the two of you are having fun -you both stick to less competitive and more story based games from then on

Hunk-sweet soft couple -your relationship revolves around soft hugs from him that always results in a happy squeal from you -you always offer your help to him in the kitchen -the both of you know that it’s just going to turn into a playful mini food fight -he always lets you hang around when he’s cooking though -one afternoon a “smear flour on each others’ faces” skirmish resulted in the both of you knocking over a bowl of space goop -you started freaking out and apologizing, blaming yourself for the entirety of the mess -Hunk calms you down and says that it wasn’t all your fault and next time the both of you will be more careful -cleaning up the spilled batter results in another mini food fight whoops

Lotor-your nightly ritual began when Lotor found out that you love stories-specifically bedtime stories -your Galra Prince was more than happy to indulge you with countless stories with origins from all over the galaxy every night -in that mesmerizing voice of his wow -you could hardly wait to cuddle up to him in the evening and just listen to him retelling tales that you had never heard on earth -you always stay awake till the end -one night however after a particularly long and exhausting day you can’t keep your eyes open and you drift off -you wake up the next morning and start apologizing for being rude -Lotor of course laughs it off understandingly -everyone is utterly exhausted with the war going on -all he wants is for you to be comfortable and happy

I’m alive (kinda)

IM SO SORRY FOR BEING INACTIVE AGAIN. Summer school is being way more grueling than necessary. I’ll try to make time to write more now that season 6 is out. Speaking of which, due to my class I WONT BE ABLE TO WATCH SEASON 6 UNTIL JULY. I’m really disappointed but it can’t be helped. This also means this will be a spoiler free blog until then. Time to avoid social media like the plague. Hope u all are having a great summer so far!

Hunk -“Y/N STAHP THATS NOT FOOD!” -initially freaks out when he catches you putting one of Pidge’s screws into your mouth -has you spit it out (and give it back to Pidge) -you just shrug and tell him you always do it-boy is just worried about your health and well-being -doesn’t want you hurting yourself accidentally with something sharp -or getting sick with space germs -starts to carry snacks everywhere for you to put in your mouth instead -bubblegum and hard candy also come in handy for when he’s not around -whenever he sees you reaching for a small object near you with that look in your eye he’ll quickly swoop in and put a homemade space cookie in your hand instead -or kisses you if you two are alone -that always seems to do the trick

Hello everyone! I’m officially finished with finals and have a break before summer school so I will opening up the inbox tonight. Paladins + Lotor with medic a s/o with a hidden badass side

Shiro -has to do a double take -then a triple take -you just…punched your way through a wave of Galra soldiers like it was second nature -convinced he’s woken up in an alternate reality -when you run over to him after the fight all he can do is stare-you’ve never seen his eyes this wide -he gets over the shock relatively quickly though tbh-he stops you mid apology and pulls you into an excited hug with a huge smile on his face-“you never cease to surprise me y/n”

Lance -your sharpshooter is in his sniping position when he spots you running across the field -initially freaks out -“WHO LET MY Y/N ON THE BATTLE FIELD THEY CANT-“ -you roundhouse kick a Galra soldier and the rest of his sentence dies in his mouth -basically has the same reaction he had when he found out Pidge was a girl -surprised, confused, and shocked -not in a bad way tho of course -boy just needs to process what the heck just happened -once he gets over the shock expect a wave of unexpected cuddles and him telling you how proud he is that you can hold your own-still wants to be the knight in shining armor though so expect him to continue “coming to your rescue” during missions

Keith -wwhat just happened?-he was just about to attack a pair of Galra in front of him-he had just summoned his sword-all of a sudden they just dropped with knives in their backs???-looks up to see you holding more throwing knives glaring at the fallen Galra soldiers -his expression goes from confused to the biggest smile you’ve ever seen him have on his face once he’s processed everything -you try to apologize in the med bay when he stops by after the battle but he just shushes you -praises you on how great you were out there and how lucky he is to have you

Hunk-he sees you out of the corner of his eye as you run across the field to tend to a fallen comrade -instantly alert -keeps you in his peripheral vision and constantly checks to make sure you stay safe -when he notices an enemy coming to attack you he’s too far away to help -all he can do is helplessly shout at you to look out -then you turn around and smack the attacker on the head with your med kit -the enemy instantly goes down with a thud-your boi sprints to where you are just to make sure you’re ok -before you can splurge out your pent up wave of apologies he pulls you into a tight embrace -is honestly just happy you’re ok and is relieved that you’re able to handle enemies on your own

Pidge -you’re attending to a small wound on her leg when she sees the Galra soldier aim his gun at you-“y/n! Look out!” -without even looking up from Pidge’s wound you pull out your gun and shoot down the enemy behind you -yah girl is shook -utterly amazed, but shook -when you finish patching her up you lock eyes with her and see her expression -you start to apologize but she stops you -you have nothing to apologize for that was amazing! -so glad that she can rely on you to watch her back

Lotor -on the surface, the Galran-Altean prince seems unfazed -you get a raised eyebrow and his patented smirk -but on the inside? -he’s ecstatic-you just disarmed several Galran officers twice your size and knocked them down with nothing but your fists? -that’s so hot -when you start to apologize he cuts you off with a kiss -“my dear you have nothing to apologize for. What you did just now? It was absolutely amazing”

Matt-he’s NERVOUS -honestly glad that you aren’t present to witness him in this state-palms are sweating, shaking, and he’s spewing anxious rants to poor Shiro (the best man) -“what if they changes their mind?” -“what if I’m a terrible husband?” -“what if they run off with LANCE???” -Shiro has to calm him down and be the ever steady voice of reason, assuring him that, no you love him, you aren’t going anywhere, and he’s going to do fine as a husband-writes a small, cute note and gives it to your best friend to give to you -something along the lines of “I can’t believe today is finally here! I love you so much, see you soon”-is fidgeting and fixing his suit constantly until the music starts and you make your grand entrance -he’s overcome with joy as he watches you walk towards him down the aisle, your beauty captivating -so happy that the one who stole his heart can finally be with him forever
