Ok so I finally made the first character design for my AU- Wartale. Sans has a dagger stuck in his back and his skull is partly broken. His mouth is also injured. Ever since the war started, Sans lost his laid back personality and has his Genocide route personality for the most part: except he doesn't hate humans.

I guess I should also write a bit more about this AU. It takes place after a neutral run where Frisk escaped the underground. Soon after that, a war starts between monsters for reasons unknown and it has been 15 years since then.

I hope this Sans is unique enough to stand out from all the other Sans!

Wartale Chapter 1

Once upon a time...

A human fell into a deep void in a distant mountain. He landed on top of a bunch of... flower looking rocks. Or perhaps they were a bunch of rock looking flowers? They weren't as soft as rocks or as hard as flowers so it was hard to tell.

This got the human very curious. He could not see much in the gloomy and dreary darkness. And so he decided the logical thing to do would be to explore this strange ruined place.

For a strange, unexplained reason, the human felt a sense of deja vu. He could not explain why. As his exploration continued, he came across a strange vine. It seemed to lead upwards.

He decided to climb upwards.

A voice spoke to him.

*W-who? Who are you? It has been so long since a human fell down here. I've been waiting. For 3000 years...

The human spoke.

*I am Gerald. I suddenly ended up here from my home.

*Come closer. These eyes cannot see you clearly yet...

Gerald went closer and in turn he could finally see the creature he was talking to. She was a strange looking creature to be sure. She was wearing glasses and an anime T-shirt.

*Is that... Dinosaur Ball Z?!

The human asked.

*Y-yes! Have you watched it!?

*You bet I have! I like the part where Fridge gets destroyed in the planet Normal!

*That part is amazing... The character development that Kogu and Geveta get is very c-cool!

*Yeah! But wait. Where am I anyway?

*This is m-my lab... I am Alphys, a scientist who works here... T-the only scientist who works here actually...

*How did I get here?

Gerald looked around Alphys' lab. It was pretty dark but his eyes had gotten adjusted to the darkness.

*Y-you got summoned here... by my robot, Mettaton.

*What do you mean summon?

*You need to help u-us. A monster civil war is occurring currently and we need the help of a human like you...

*How... can I help you?

Alphys looked painfully at the hole in the wall.

That is when Gerald saw two shining eyes glowing inside.

*I- I'm sorry, human... Goodbye.
