Hi Everyone. . So I thought I'd save my favourite photos from the 1 night camp at the bottom of Cornwall, UK. Porth Nanven at sunset is a beautiful place, even with no clouds in the sky I still managed to get some really nice shots. Here is another shot from the beautiful Poly Joke Beach. This beach has a colony of seals that like to use it's beach for catching the sun. No such luck on my visit but I did manage to get some awesome shots from the beach like this one. So this is my favourite shot from my trip to Trebarwith Strand. I usually have one or two favourites from each trip I do, I used the 10stop #NisiUK filter for this shot. It's not often I use a long lens for landscapes! I always use my wide angle lens. I wanted to capture the sunrays shining down through clouds but my wide angle made them look further away than they actually were. I got out my 105mm macro lens which is amazingly sharp and the focal length worked really well for this shot. It's not often you get treated to a light show like this so I took quite a few shots before the cloud eventually blocked out all the incredible light. some trips are easy and straightforward. You turn up, you find a composition and off you go.... This was not one of those trips. This was a trip where I lost my phone and both my contact lenses got blown out of my eyes! Yep that's right, it was insanely windy, thank god for auto focus 😂. I did find my phone in the end but my god it was a stressful trip . I don't think there is anywhere better for coastline in the UK than Cornwall. I could be wrong of course but it's just so beautiful down here with miles of coastline at your fingertips! For me I can pretty much drive in any direction and be at a beach or coast within the hour! 145 second exposure using the @nisi.uk 10stop ND filter. I love the minimal colour cast from these filters as it's nice to get the natura pastel tones that sunrise brings with it 😍. The second shot I'm sharing from the Sunrise at Bude. I used the #NisiUK 3 stop filter to slow the shutter just enough to capture the movement of the tide coming over the rocks. Unfortunately the Sunrise was happening behind me which put a spanner into the works for the shot I was looking for but still came away from the location more than happy with what I got. It just goes to show that even with the proper planning it doesn't always work the way you want or expect it too. One of my favourite shots from Crooklets Beach in Bude. The water leaving its mark on the sand as the tide was coming in.
