These are the combiners! They are based off of moth larvae (or caterpillars) hence why the big guy has wings. They all have a specific color and shape. Parts of their bodies mirror their parts of the spacebridge. The names are based off the scientific name of the larvae they’re based on.

Introducing- MY SPACEBRIDGE TF OCs!! My god are these characters so fun. Anyways let’s explain now ! This is a combiner. Three Cybertronians combine together to make the portal and the big guy- that has yet to be named haha.

Chapter 1

An unexpected ally

Just a grey ceiling. Something with nothing going on. It has seen everything but can never tell anyone. It screams but no one can hear it. Screams at all the sights, the horrors- or maybe that’s just him projecting onto nothing. Why is it all the grey bot can think about is a ceiling? He’s got other things to worry about but he is unable to discuss them. In this low power state, he can barely talk. It hurts to talk, it hurts to move, it hurts to think. Well at least it hurts to think about the week before.

What’s the point of thinking about a past he’ll never go back to?

A quick squeak of the metal door sliding open alarms him. Megatron huffs dramatically. He was really trying to get the attention of the bot that recently entered the lab. He needs something to distract him from his own thoughts.

“Hello master,” Shockwave says surprisingly. Megatron slightly turns his head to face him. It is just the scientist, Shockwave.

“Help- me up” His voice makes it sound as more of a plea than a command. Shockwave’s one optic never reaching his.

“Negative, you can barely talk.“ He rolls his optic as Megatron just groans louder. Megatron, surprised he isn’t irritating Shockwave to the point where he would be yelling- must be the perks of being a leader.

“You are in your healing stage. Starscream is in charge of the troops. Currently we are just gathering Energon. “ Shockwave starts to sharpen the gun attached to his arm. He examines it, polishing a somewhat non-existent spot. “We need the best of the best right now, and you are not at your best.”

Megatron sighs as he looks back at the ceiling. How can he possibly help? His condition is keeping him weak and incapable of even moving. This frail state would look terrible to the others. His Decepticon army. He isn’t ready for all this responsibility, all this public image stuff he’s already thinking about. It would’ve been understandable if he was a commander for a few Cybertronians, but this was hundreds of them- and he is a king to them! Thinking about the present felt almost worse than thinking about the past. Megatron grimaces, still lying on the metal table, body static.

How the frag did he think this was a good idea?

 The blue bot hits the ground with a thump. He can’t take any more Energon transferring. In possibly more than 100 bots, he’s the only one fit for the job.

“Soundwave, why are you on the floor!?” The new voice of the once leader, Starscream, rings through his sensors. Soundwave doesn’t say anything, he’s too exhausted to argue with Starscream. Saying anything can trigger the jet into a frenzy.

“Well?” The jet puts his hands on his hips. Soundwave looks around, trying to find a solution out of the predicament. As he looks around he notices a small moving object behind a stack of energon cubes. He points in its direction.

“What?!” Starscream looks at him skeptically, but he eventually turns around.

“An unauthorized presence.” Soundwave’s scratchy voice causes the tiny creature to pop his head up.

“Oh” He’s shocked but not threatened. What threat could some small puny Minicon be to them? Soundwave watches in silence.

“What are you here for?” Starscream looks at the Minicon, amused.

“I’m here to join the Decepticons of course!” The small red bot huffs. Starscream bursts out in hysterical laughter. His scratchy high pitch laugh getting the attention of the other Decepticons.

They all look to Starscream, then to the Minicon. “What’s goin’ on Screams? You sound like scrapin‘ metal.“ A blue jet jokes..

As Starscream recovers from his laughing fit, the Minicon speaks up.

“What’s so funny? I’m completely capable of fighting alongside you!” At this point the whole troop is laughing and snickering, making jokes about how weak the Minicon would be. The poor bot looking as if he’d cry. Soundwave walks over to the Minicon and reaches his hand toward him. Sound’ can’t deny he has an inclination to care for the weaker. When he took hostage of B-127, he couldn’t help but listen and talk to the yellow bot. It’s a shame they’re on separate sides now as he enjoyed taking care of him. Even if it was just for a few hours.

“We can negotiate with our leader, Megatron. “ The Minicon smiles ecstatically.

“Is your leader powerful? Will he teach me to be a fighter?“ He climbs onto Soundwave’s shoulder. Starscream gasps.

“You’re going to take that minuscule life form to Megatron without my permission?” He throws his hands up angrily . “It’s not like Megatron can do anything right now anyways.“ He mumbles the last part, but Soundwave hears it.

“The leader can decide what to do” Starscream is no longer leader and he has yet to accept it.

“You sure these-a Minicons really gonna help out? They ain’t lookin’ so strong,” Thundercracker asks genuinely.

Some of them still trust Starscream. He was chosen by Sentinel to be a commander of Cybertron’s high guard and he was able to keep them alive. He even kept them away from Sentinel’s corrupt rule after Starscrean betrayed Sentinel. But ever since Megatron became their new leader, Starscream has started to grow angrier. Every small mistake made that he used to just brush off, is now the cause for a new angry fit. So when Thundercracker asks this, he’s still hanging on to Starscream’s authority.

“Megatron will find a way,” This makes Starscream really scream.

“FINE! Take that puny little waste of Energon to our new ‘leader’” His voice cracking higher as he raises it. Each stomp away left a hole in the ground where the jet of his boots were. If the whole “getting beat up by a random guy and having said guy take his role as leader” didn’t spark him, now it will.

“Well gee, what’s got his wings in a twist?” The small Minicon still on Soundwave’s shoulder remarks. Soundwave suppresses a laugh. This will be a fun breakthrough.
