**New Update on Walid’s Condition**

Finally, after two months since the surgery, the casts have been removed from Walid’s legs, allowing him to move them freely for the first time—his joy was indescribable!

We are now entering the second and most crucial phase of his recovery: daily intensive physical and functional therapy to strengthen his muscles and help him stand on his own. The final goal is for Walid to walk again, God willing, after years of pain and struggle.

Walid now needs **\$700 per month** to cover the costs of physical therapy, transportation, healthy food, and a medical brace.

I would like to direct everyone's attention to Walid, who is celebrating his 4th birthday today, on February 28th!

Walid is a young boy from Gaza, son to Shatha and a brother to Toleen (6) and Layan (2).

He was born with a disability that came from his premature birth and because of it, he's unable to walk.

Before the war in Gaza came, Walid's family was able to pay for medicine and his medical treatment. They wanted to ensure that their son lives his life like any other child; able to walk, run and play with his friends.

But in a blink of an eye, war took everything away from them.

They no longer had their own home, their only source of income and workplace has perished and the schools that Walid's mother and sisters went to were destroyed as well.

With no where to go, Walid and his family were displaced around Gaza, seven times.

Even now as I write this, Walid's family is still fighting for their own survival. Things like medicine, food and clean water became scarce due to the prices growing higher.

The medicine for Walid's survival is especially crucial. Without medicine and medical treatment that he needs, Walid's health is going to continue detoriating.

Along with that, there are the news that in the upcoming two weeks, Walid needs to undergo a surgery on both of his legs. The surgery is costly and it will require a lot of money, which is why I'm writing this post to raise awareness about Walid.

To make Walid's dream come true, please donate to and share his family's fundraiser! They hadn't reached their goal just yet, but with your help, they'll be able to help his son and give him and the rest of his siblings the childhood that they rightfully deserve.

Hi yall, making a post today about Shatha's son, Walid! He has a disability that makes it difficult for him to stand or walk and due to the ongoing genocide in Gaza, he has not been able to attend the physiotherapy he needs.
