yup. At the time, I was bothered that Annie was 35, which made her twice as close to my age as to his. Needless to say, I now long for those days.

27!? The thing that baffles me is that she was a model and is now a lawyer. She is beautiful and accomplished. What the hell is she doing with a 55-year-old with grown children? Am I just two years away from having to fuck 55-year-olds? Is this what we’ve come to?

Quick reminder that Stevie Nicks was a waitress and cleaning lady at the age of 26. She was barely scraping by and she wasn’t in college. 

You don’t need to have everything figured out or your life together when you’re in your 20′s. 

Just remember, you’ll get a call from a weird tall English dude asking you to join his band and then your life will get sucked into sex, drugs, and rock n roll and you’ll make some bad decisions like fucking Joe Walsh, but ultimately you’ll come out of it only to get sucked into klonopin, but you’ll get through that too and before you know it you’ll be on stage telling your EX he’ll never get away from you.

Today I am going to be made blondish. 

Because even though it has never looked good before, going blondish is, I guess, one of those things I have to try every three years. Like attempting to learn French, or trying oysters.  Because even though I know intellectually that I will always look better as a brunette and that I will never have the pallet to appreciate mollusks, there is some dumb little voice in my head that needs the hair color of early Marissa Cooper.  

2004 was a very formative year for me.
