Hi!!

I know we haven't even gotten superman yet but what do you think Gunn is going to do with batman and the batfamily?

He already said the first movie will be the brave and the bold with damian which implies all the bats before damian are already going to be established, so do you think he's going to come out with a modern batfamily and make multiple prequels or just ignore their previous arcs altogether? or possibly just insert damian into the story earlier than usual?

Hello!! I'm not super keeping up with the movie news so idk that much, but I HAVE been told that Gunn is a Cass fan!!!

The second picture being Helena sure is something 😭 but at least James Gunn clearly knows Cass exists AND seems to like her as Batgirl!! He's mentioned more than once that he likes Cass' Batgirl outfit specifically. So if he was going to do the Batfam I ASSUME it would have Cass in it?? And Dick as Nightwing probably. Tim as Robin is definitely dicier since I feel like people who skip to Damian often skip Tim 😭😭😭. Sadly I don't think we're getting Duke or Steph but a girl can dream...

I think it's quite possible prequels will depend on how good Brave and the Bold does, or fan reception to characters there. If Cass cameos as Batgirl and the internet explodes (as it SHOULD), she might have a good chance of getting a prequel movie!!! Otherwise they'll probably just have the Batfam in Batman movies as supporting characters. I DO think UTRH and Jason might make it on the big screen, idk why but I feel like it's one of Batman's big stories that has never been done before in live action. (I'm assuming Jason isn't already back by B&TB, I feel like they'd save him for a possible utrh storyline). But I am not a movie writer so idk 😭😭

I don't really have any concrete predictions. I'm like 70% sure Dick will appear, everyone else though isn't a guarantee (I think Batgirl WILL appear, but it could be Babs). I think Gunn is at least attempting to honour comics so I hope their backstories are somewhat intact when they appear!!

Old Cassandra Cain art from 2017 done with pen and ink, which I'm reposting with the same description, only because my old art blog is abandoned.

Based off my idea of an Alternate Universe direction (pre-52) where Cassandra is left to take on the mantle of being Batman after Bruce disappears. The Bat family is in disarray and trying to find Batman. There's something strange going on within the Justice League without Batman being present. Enemies encroach on all sides. The League of Assassin is beginning to move, and Damian and Cassandra have to reconcile the past and their future as heroes. Despite all of this, Cassandra decides to remain loyal to the idea of being Gotham's protector, because that's what Bruce would want.
