BREAK FREE - DRAMA CD

“BREAK FREE - DRAMA CDNow that I’m finally able to (legally) mention it, I’d like to let you know that I was asked to provide an original story for a drama CD produced by the same company that did Yours For An Hour. The main characters are voiced by Noriaki Sugiyama (Nobu), Junko Takeuchi (Kaito), Takao (Yuichi Nakamura), Kenji (Daisuke Namikawa).It is NOT based on a fanfiction, but it will… probably… remind you of coffee >.>

I believe it will be officially out on Feb. 25, but you can preorder two versions.

You are welcome to buy both. The difference is in the “epilogue” or bonus scenes. I wrote four bonus scenes, which follow the end of the main story. If I had to suggest one or the other, I STRONGLY suggest Epilogue B because you’ll want to hear the Nobu/Kaito track. I don’t have much input or knowledge on the marketing/distribution front, but I can probably ask someone who would know if you have questions.

His biggest fears are failure and disappointing his family. Nishiaki Kaito Age: 18 Kaito is a precocious teen who uses poetry and painting as outlets for dealing with a difficult childhood. He is a cancer survivor, and therefore believes in chasing dreams and living life without regrets. “Life’s too short” is one of his mottos. He is a hard worker who often pushes his body to the limits, even if it means ignoring the concerns of those closest to him. Matsudaira Takao Age: 26 Takao is Nobu’s older brother who exchanged the opportunity to work in the Ministry of Finance for a career as a talent manager at a publishing house in Tokyo. His desire to live his own life has caused a rift in the family. He is a very intelligent and perceptive man with a sadistic sense of humor. His favorite hobbies include literature and teasing Nobu. Kenji (Ken) Edwards Ken is a jack of all trades, especially when it comes to business matters. He tutored Kaito while they were in the U.S. together. Even if they aren’t related by blood, he treats Kaito as a little brother, although sometimes the roles appear reversed. Koyama Rin Age: 16 Rin is Kaito’s good friend who is like a little sister to him. She is a bubbly girl who enjoys art and dreams of writing her own manga one day. Hōjō Hiromi Age: 23 Hiromi is Nobu’s potential fiancee. She’s a few years older than him and already a lawyer at a well-known Tokyo firm.

My notes: Notice the description of Naruto’s (Kaito) and Sasuke’s (Nobuaki) characters. Naruto’s: Believes in chasing dreams and living life without regrets, hard worker, pushes himself to the limits. Dealt with a difficult childhood. Sounds a lot like our Naruto! Sasuke’s: Quick-witted, ambitious, logical thinker also sounds so much like our Sasuke! Not to mention “his biggest fear is disappointing his family” sounds familiar huh? I’m really excited for this!
