"grandma?" at the responding hum of your grandmother, whose eyes never left the pinked skies of mondstadt and the water reflecting the gentleness of the setting sun, a seven-year-old you asks, voice hoarse from crying as you nuzzle into her cotton dress, "can i talk to grandpa one last time? i want to tell him that i love him.”
you never understood then, the slight tremble of her hand as she combs its fingers through your hair, it was as much for grounding her as it was for soothing you, "not directly, no. but remember what i told you about dandelions?"
"that lord barbatos will receive it if you blow it after wishing for something with your entire heart," you say, trying to remember the exact words but unable to with the exhaustion slowly taking over you from all the crying. "will grandpa be able to hear it too now?”
"whenever you want to talk to grandpa, close your eyes, think of whatever you want to say to him before blowing on the dandelions," the fingers running through your hair never cease in their movements. "lord barbatos will carry your message to grandpa.”
those words always stuck with you. and, while logically you knew now, almost thirteen years later, that they might not be true, whenever you missed your grandpa, you always found yourself on the dock near the side gate of the city, the place where you spent most of your time with him.
even now, not exactly the middle of the night but not early either, after getting your grandma to rest, you sneak past the snoring guards out of the east gate of mondstadt, plucking the only dandelion that hasn't bloomed into a flower beside the said gate before climbing up the pier and stopping at the edge.
mondstadt, especially the city, always feels safe. despite the time of the day, with people like the darknight hero and the knights of favonius - albeit, they do slack off sometimes, like those guards you snuck past, but they're human, and you can understand where they're coming from - guarding it, no other place would feel as safe as mondstadt does to you. so you have no fear moving around even during night.
as you close your eyes, like every other time, to think of a message you want to pass on to your grandfather, unlike usual, you feel two firm arms wrap around your waist as they pull you back with ease, voice that you can't quite place where you heard hastily speak, "what are you doing?!”
when the situation finally registers in your brain, your first instinct is to pinch the arms around you, screaming loudly, "what are you doing?! let go of me!" but to no avail, the thickness of whatever outer layer the other person was wearing too much to even feel the pinch.
"not until you say that you won't jump!" you hear the voice say firmly, the words flowing slowly, like a syrup, in your brain.
"huh?! what do you mean?!" you reply back, equally panicked, your mind not in a state to think logically.
"i know life can be hard, but at least think of people that care for you. this is not the solution!" the voice continues, wrapping around your waist even tighter, but never answering the question you asked.
"let go of me! i'm not going to jump!" you squeak even louder, desperate to get those bulky arms off of you.
"are you certain-"
"i was not jumping in the first place!" you cut the voice off, inserting your thumbs into the gap between your waist and his arms, "look, if this is a depraved attempt of yours to get your hands around-" that does the trick, the arms around you instantly loosen and you turn around with an icy glare, looking to run as soon as you can without having to say another word to the idiot (and also for safety) but you stumble a bit as you see who exactly was the said idiot.
it was the protector of mondstadt itself. the darknight hero.
you stand there, gaping like a fish as you see the masked man's eyes widened in shock as he hurries to defend himself, "i can assure you that is not the case, i just thought you were about to-”
"mr. darknight hero," your low blurt cuts him off again, but his face twists slightly at the address.
"please do not call me that," the voice of his is tinged with slight exasperation, as though he has said that same thing quite a few times before. "and, i want to resolve any discrepancies about... i thought you were about to jump. that is the only reason i promise. i apologise for doing so without permission and a prior warning…”
you are pulled back from the trance when you hear him stumble over his own words, hand reaching up to scratch the back of his head as he tries to explain himself.
"um... it's alright. i can understand. i just blurted that out because i was panicking," your throat feels scratchy as you say that, hands fiddling with themselves to calm yourself. "i really wasn't trying to jump, though i can understand why you would come to that conclusion. it's just that i was-”
that reminds you of the sudden emptiness of your hands and dandelion flower that was supposed to be there. you look around frantically until you see the stem on the wooden floor of the pier devoid of any seeds that you remember surrounding it just sometime ago.
"oh no..." your voice is slightly mournful as you bend down to pick it up. it was the last one with seeds close to the east gate.
the expression on your face must've been pitiful as you hear his throat clear, "i apologise for that too. i will fetch you another one. please give me a moment.”
before you could look at him and refuse, the red-haired man dashes away from your sight and appears in front of you with two dandelions clutched into his hand at a speed you didn't know was possible.
"here," eyes behind the mask dart to your face for a moment before going back to the item clutched into his own hand. gently, you take what you were offered. "what exactly were you doing here at this time? if not... you know.”
"if you don't mind me asking, of course," he adds as he sees your eyes dart in hesitation, teeth sinking slightly into your lower lip.
after racking your brain for sometime, you settle on, "i was just missing someone," not wanting to overshare but also not wanting to dismiss him completely.
"i see," you swear you can hear the empathy in those couple of words. "inform me after you are finished with your task.”
"hm? whatever for?" your eyebrows furrow slightly as soon as those words are out of your mouth, mentally hissing at yourself as you hope that they didn't sound as rude as you thought they did.
"i will accompany you back to your house," one of his hands fiddles with the strap on the glove of the other. "it is not safe to wander about by oneself at this time of the day.”
"i really appreciate the thought, but that is quite unnecessary," you let out hastily. "i am quite familiar with the city after dark."
"i insist," despite the mask, you see his eyes glint with determination and hear the slight firmness in his voice. "i couldn't possibly sleep with my conscience weighed down by the fact that i left a civilian - a female at that - to fend for themselves in the dead of the night.”
"but-" you are cut off.
"please do not refuse.”
after a few minutes of silence, you nod half-heartedly.
"then please call for me after you are done with your task, i will stand near that tree," with that he turns around, hair flipping at the movement, and pads towards the tree that he pointed towards.
clutching the dandelions close to your chest, you turn around, eyes closing as you think of what you want to say.
'grandpa, i trust you are doing well in the afterlife. don't be a recluse like you were while with us, only ever talking to grandma or me, okay? hopefully you already made a friend or two there. if not, please do so like i've been telling you since forever.
'grandma is showing signs of getting old. before you panic, it's nothing worrying, it's normal things like, the other day, her knee joints started hurting a bit after climbing the stairs.
'the bakery is doing well too. the new recipe i tried out with apples seems to be a hit with the people.
'we just miss you a lot. we love you, grandpa. don't you ever forget that.’
you feel for the stem of the second in your hand as you think of a different recipient for it.
'lord barbatos. hello. hope you are doing wonderfully, too. and that you're taking care of yourself as well as you do the people of - and - mondstadt itself. please do convey my message to grandpa. keep looking over everyone as always. especially the ones that are doing their best to protect us.
'and, sorry for the additional wish, but give me strength to take care of my grandma the best i can while also providing for her. thank you for everything.’
with that, eyes still shut, you hold both the dandelions up and blow at the seeds. the sight of them floating away catching and holding your gaze for quite some time as soon as they are opened.
“mr. darknight hero,” you call out after covering enough distance towards the tree for you to be audible to him.
“please do not call me that,” the words from before are repeated as he turns to face you. “i presume you have fulfilled the purpose you have come here with?”
you nod in as an answer, picking up the disdain in his tone again at the former sentence, “then what would you like me to address you as?”
“anything is fine as long as it's not that,” his hands reach up to set the edge of the cape that was slightly twisted. “that name makes me uncomfortable.”
“i thought it was a tad on the extreme side when i first heard of it too,” you chuckle. “glad that you think the same.”
“lead the way,” the masked man says, hands gesturing towards the gate of the city.
the two of you fall into a slightly awkward silence during the walk, neither of you making any attempt to entertain. (the shake of his head in disapproval at the guard stationed at the gate did have a laugh bubble in your chest, but that was it).
wanting it to end, you clear your throat as you utter the first thing in your mind, “what about batman?”
“i’m sorry?” he sounds genuinely confused at the sudden talk.
“batman, as a way to address you, since you don't like the one that seems to be popular,” you can't help the slight curl of your lips as you yourself find the name funny, “what about batman?”
“that seems just as derivative,” he deadpans. “how did that even cross your mind?”
“just your… choice of attire,” giving him a once over, you continue, “reminds me of a bat.”
“i almost prefer the other one,” despite the rejection, you hear a bit of humor in his voice. “that's an achievement in and of itself.”
“i ought to be proud of myself then,” your concentration is back onto your steps as a staircase comes into view. “i can't think of anything else.”
“a friend of mine calls me captain pyro,” his head tilts up slightly, as if reminiscing a bit, “while it's still not something i would like to be addressed as, it's certainly better than its alternative. alternatives now, i guess.”
a soft laugh escapes your lips as you take the final turn towards your destination.
“then i will try to come up with a name that you would not just not mind, but approve of,” you pause your steps in front of a rather cozy looking building. “and this is my stop.”
"i wish you the best of luck," red eyes scan the dwelling behind you, “then i shall take my leave.”
“thank you,” you smile softly, gratefully, at him, head bowing slightly to match the action. “i really appreciate it.”
“that’s not necessary,” his eyes dart back to your form from the construction behind you. “just, do not wander by yourself so late. despite our efforts, the city is not as safe as you believe it to be after evenfall. especially for young ladies such as yourself.”
“okay,” simply agreeing to his words, you shuffle your feet in place, “hope you have a goodnight, mr. not-darknight hero.”
that actually gets a small smile to break out on his face. it's almost unnoticeable. it probably wouldn't even count as a smile on anyone else's face. but because you've seen so little muscles on his face move, that feels noticeable.
“that's almost approved,” he nods, mockingly serious, “good night to you too… apologies, i realize that i never asked for your name.”
“hm,” you hum thoughtfully, feeling slightly cheeky, “how about i tell you my name after i give you one that gets an approval from you?”
“if that is what you would like. until next time then, miss night stoller.”
“you are just as bad at naming as i am.”

THE SECOND FALLEN ANGEL
One thing I love to do is to reinterpret classic paintings with Hazbin Hotel characters (apart from the huge differences in quality of course). Here is a Fallen Angel Vaggie!

Note
I've been talking with a cousin about the work of nursing and how some people underrate the job, to the point of disrespect, like a case in one of her days.
That gave me an idea For Kaeya and Diluc (separately) x nurse reader, that isn't exactly part of the church but still helps around with hurt people, getting back hole one day abnormally grumpy and with a red spot on their cheek because a patient's family member couldn't understand he couldn't see the patient and started getting aggresskve to get through
If i didn't make myself clear then don't feel pressured to write this, it can be kinda confusing lol
Diluc immediately wants to go and confront the person who attacked you. You've complained lightly to him in the past about people who just absolutely disregard the amount of work you put into every task you do. You take good care of your patients and dedicate yourselves to their safety and wellbeing.
You'll have to convince him not to go back and hurt them, but he's not going to be very happy if he finds how who it was that did that to you. He does understand why they must have done that and felt so strongly but just because he gets it doesn't mean he's happy about it.
He's going to pay a little bit of extra attention whenever you come home because of how worried he is. He's worried you're going to be hurt again and decides to support the group you work with in order to better protect the other staff. You come to work to find that there are knights working as bodyguards, simply just making sure that things don't escalate to that point again.
Kaeya is much like Diluc. He freaks out when you explain to him what happened and is not at all happy to hear what it is that hurt you. He's going to make sure that it doesn't happen again.
For the first little while he'll come to work during his breaks or when he's got a day off. He isn't going to intimidate anybody of course but he is just making his presence known in case someone tries to intimidate you or one of the other staff.
You're happy to see him there of course, but one day he doesn't arrive. You know that it's probably because of how busy he is so you're not really upset about it. However, when another knight shows up in his place you're more than happy to see it. The knight explains that someone will be coming in to stay with the other staff from now on if they can spare the manpower. It helps keep everybody safely thankfully and you're glad for it. You'll thank him when you get home, hugging him tightly as he tells you it's not a problem at all.

.•°HOW CAN I?°•.
—-
(Diluc x Gen!reader)
.•°⭐️°•.
(Confessions, and how they do it.) <3 ❤️
—-
At first, he would’ve thought his feelings were mistaken for mutual liking. He thought he just liked you as a friend, nothing more. Knowing he’s never felt liking for anyone, these feelings were new.
He’d tried to avoid it. He avoided you because he thought it was odd he was now catching feelings for someone.
Kaeya immediately noticed his brothers changes on how he views you. He teased Diluc for it, knowing he doesn’t actually mean what he says, he does in the meaning help Diluc (without him knowing) get closer to you.
Until it came to the day when you finally came up to him and asked, “Did I do something wrong? You’ve been avoiding me, Diluc.” You know he’s busy, but something felt off anytime you came into the tavern to see him, he answers anyone else but you first, which usually, he’d attend to you first thing he saw you.
As guilty as he felt about ignoring you, trying to sort himself out, he finally confessed to you what’s been happening to him with his time away.
“Listen.. ___, I’ve gained new feelings for you. I like you. I haven’t been avoiding you, I’m just new to this, that’s all.” He says deeply will looking down, for once not making direct eye contact with you as you can tell he’s more flustered then you.
For a slight second you smile and giggle softly to yourself, “you’re serious, Diluc?” - “I’m serious.” He says finally looking back at you with his oh, so gorgeous, red eyes.
You were out of words for a quick second, but then later on you explained to him your feelings are mutual. Both of you decided after his week of work, you’ll meet up at a near restaurant and have a nice dinner. (The classic 🙏)
One thing that made you feel a little more nervous that day, was seeing how after he leaves, you first thing noticed Kaeya watching from afar, proud of himself and his brother, knowing he did something over with Diluc.

.•°It’s just a thought..°•.
(Diluc x fem!reader
TW: mentions of pregnancy, miscarriage, etc. Stay safe if ur sensitive to these topics! <3.
(comfort/angst)
.•°•.
You’ve been wanting to talk to Diluc to your thoughts for a while. They weren’t bad, but weren’t the best. Ever since you’ve thought of having a child it’s been the only thing you could think off. Sometimes you’d daydream about it.. is that weird?
You find yourself in the living room, reading a book. It’s nothing new, reading in front of a fireplace waiting for your husband to come home. Once you heard is heavy boots walk through the door, you smiled.
He notices you right away while taking his boots off, and hanging up his coat on the coat rack. “I’ll be right back honey.” He smiles at you softly. It was 12:46 pm, which was surprising because he usually comes home later then that.
Walking through the living room, you notice he’s in more attire for comfort of his home. He sits down right beside, arm around your shoulder pressing a soft kiss on the right side of your head. “What’re you reading?” He asked now laying his head on your shoulder.
“Not sure, Lisa handed it to me today at the library. I thought I’d visit her after awhile.” You say looking up at his crimson eyes. “Something’s been on my mind, Diluc.” You say as he lifts his head up staring back at you. “What is it dear?” He says, while his thumb is caressing your lips slowly. “I’ve been thinking.. what if we consider having a child?”
Thank gosh it was just you two alone in the manor, you would’ve never would’ve known the reactions of the workers at the manor if they heard your words. But one thing you wouldn’t miss to see again is how your husband smiled a little more after you mentioned having a kid.
“As much as I think that would be lovely my dear..” he pauses, still happy as he looks, he continues. “What if I’m not always there for them?” He says. You knew there would be some cons to your thought. “You’ll still be an amazing father, Diluc. Knowing you, you would try your hardest to make them happy.” Overstepping your sentence, you hear him sigh hardly.
“What if things don’t go, right.?”
Understanding his worries, you looked down for a second. What if he was right? What if this goes wrong? Now concerned for yourself, knowing you’d be a whole mixup of emotions. “Then..” “I don’t know.” You sigh looking back at him as he left your chin up slightly. “I want to try, Diluc.” “Imagine it.” You say still feeling worry.
“I do too, ___. We should consider it if were both comfortable. But for now, my lover, we should head to bed. We’ll talk about it in the morning, okay?” He kisses your temple, nodding slightly at him to let him know you’re coming. He picks you up, and up the stairs, you guys head to your shared bedroom.

GENSHIN MEN AND…
prompt: HOW THEY WOULD REACT IF YOU SACRIFICED YOUR LIFE FOR THEM
character(s): diluc, zhongli [part one] childe, ayato [part two, out]
warnings(s): angst ofc—mention of blood, my first post on tumblr so my writing style may be a little icky, inaccuracies since I haven’t looked up genshin lore for a hot minute
note(s): male reader, second person, present tense, not beta read
DILUC
There’s a lot of things you haven’t told him yet. Things you wished you had told him—but everything’s fine, because in this single action you are willing to do for him—your feelings will come inevitably with it and it’s a torrent of emotions that you’re about to burden him with.
He’s been your childhood friend for seventeen years now. All those times you have seen him, smiling, his merry laughter carrying over the breeze, his lips purple from sampling grapes, to the time where that very laughter and smiles disappear to smoothen into a stone face. After the death of his father, Diluc has become reserved, cold, and rather distant. Bitter.
You two were close, once.
You two had a bond that many could not quite interpret— it was as clear as day that you both trusted each other fully, but each always had secrets to hide. Some say proximity is the reason why both of you got close — your manors were near to each other, but truthfully, it was as simple as it was: you two had the same social standing. Both you and Diluc were, for each of their families, supposed to be close for the sake of future alliances and unions, but the friendship soon turned genuine, only for it to crumble under the weight of guilt and grief.
Only for it to crumble on the day Crepus died.
You still remember it vividly; in all its sickening, gruesome, heart wrenching detail. You were fortunate enough not to witness it, but etched in your memory, all you can think of is Diluc’s ravaged expression when he trembled before his father’s corpse.
You were helpless then. You could have extended an arm, you could have done something.
You didn’t.
But now would be different. You know the archons have it in for him when the incident happens the same way it happened with his father: via a carriage incident.
You laugh then at its bitter irony.
Bandits come, a whole load of them, and this time Diluc fights while you are there helpless once again, trembling when you hear the clash of swords and arrows. When you hear his claymore smash against flesh. You don’t have a vision. Diluc has. You don’t have any particular skill in handling a sword; Jean has tried to teach you once, but it has failed. Your brain may be quick and witty, but your steps aren’t.
The bandits have delusions. The archons really are cruel.
You see it before he does. There’s a burst of electric power that he's battling, the elementals clashing with each other—you’re still lagging behind, barely missing the whizzing arrows that skim your flesh, your heart wrenching as you see Diluc’s pained expression. You know what he’s thinking of, and it isn’t you. His memories are reverting back to his father’s death. His birthday. And perhaps that’s why his usual sharpness is wearied down.
You see the sword about to plunge his back before he does.
You scream to tell him.
Your body moves before anything.
Your fingers fumble to clasp the fabric of your clothes, before you tug him out of the way. You feel the weight of a sword against your back; you feel the way it slices through your skin before it presses against your flesh. You taste blood on your tongue, before a myriad of colors burst out; crimson, carmine. All the shades of red. You wobble then, choking out blood, before you stumble. You hear a few slices; razor, swift sharp ones. Then the last of the assailants falls down, and you are made aware that your decision has been the right one.
Diluc has survived.
You stumble. You feel your body hit the ground. Murkiness runs your vision.
“[Name],” you hear a soft, whispering voice carry to your ears. You try your best to cling onto the words. But pain is burning within you—it’s ironic, how they feel more scorching than Diluc’s flames have ever felt. You try your best to swallow down your pants and your pained noises, but it ends up slipping from your mouth in broken, mottled syllables.
Your blurry vision makes out a face.
He cannot be Diluc. He’s crying. And the last time you have seen Duluc cry is when—
Oh.
“Don’t cry,” you say weakly. “Don’t cry, Diluc. I’m sorry I wasn’t of much help.” You try to reach out to his cheek. You regret it a split second afterwards because blood stains his cheeks wet from tears. You end up smearing red all over his face.
“Why?” Diluc says, and it sounds guttural, like the words have been punched out from him. “Why, [Name]?” You hear a flurry of footsteps behind. You assume it’s some surviving witness who has gone to call for backup. But you doubt you’ll survive.
You don’t even know why. To begin with, you aren’t even sure if you are in love with him. The swirling butterflies that flutter about when you see him tells him you are, but society’s expectations push those down. You have been in love with him for as long as you can remember; you have loved him. You have annotated every inch of him down to your memory, every contour, every bit. In your dreams he visits you, smiling sweetly. And you try to remember him when you wake up, trying to pretend that he’s still there, that he’s no longer bitter.
“I don’t know.” Your words come out broken, punctuated by the gurgling of blood from your windpipe.
It’s a half truth. You love him. You don’t know if you do.
“I’m sorry.”
Diluc is sobbing now. It’s uncharacteristic of him. You are brought back to the night when you saw him break down in front of his father’s corpse. And you aren’t yet a corpse: your heart is still beating faintly, your lips are still moving, your body is still trembling. “There’s a lot of things I wanted to tell you, Diluc.”
“Don’t die,” he pleads fervently. His lips graze your forehead, then—and before you know it, he’s embracing you, his tears wetting your shoulder. His begging is childish. Does he not know that the Archons have long abandoned their people? Does he know the sky is empty, and that no amount of pleads can bring a person back to life? You doubt so. “Don’t die, [Name]. I love you.”
He loves you. You smile. He loves you. Words have never felt so sweet befor, and it curbs the bitterness of death upon your tongue. “I love you, [Name]. I love you, so don’t die.”
He loves his father too. But still his father had perished. Similar to you.
“I’m so happy to hear that,” you smile weakly. Your finger starts to fall. “I’m really happy to hear that.”
You don’t have enough time to say those three words back, but it’s fine.
Your actions already did.
ZHONGLI
note(s); reader is an adepti, takes place during archon war
A God has seen their fair share of grieving. So have Adepti. Some come with age—it’s normal for mortal alliances to die before those who are immortal, after all. There is also the Archon War, which has already torn away Zhongli’s beloved companion, Guizhong. And everyday he chokes down the bile in his throat and continues to annihilate and fight. He’s always been built for this, after all, he’s an Archon. He’s a ruthless one at that, known for his brutality and his power. And everyday he looks at you and can only pray again and again to Celestia, that you remain alive.
Guizhong and you have both been his favorites since you two have met. It was Guizhong and you first, before Zhongli met you. Both you and Guizhong were best friends; almost; like sisters and brothers. Guizhong was gentle and sweet, reprimanding at times. You were sweet too, but could be more uncouth. Strong language littered your sentences at times, and Zhongli would see it then; the way Guizhong tugged at you to scold you, or the way you would smile at her. Brother and sister.
Naturally, when Zhongli grew close to Guizhong, he grew close to you. It was funny to see that you hardly knew much about history, though Guizhong clearly loved it. And so it was almost a cycle. Whatever Guizhong taught Zhongli, he taught you. Guizhong had remarked a few times, what an incredible person he was to make even you listen to facts you had earlier called boring.
(“You mellowed a lot, Morax,” Guizhong had told him once. “[Name] mellowed you. You really do care alot for him, don’t you?”
“I suppose.”)
Gods aren’t meant to be mellowed. They are meant to be powerful. Strong enough emotionally so as to not bat an eye when it comes to deaths.
But everything falls apart when Guizhong dies.
He sees you fall to the ground, sobbing and sobbing and crying at the loss of your beloved sister. He sees the way you touch her statue, turned to stone, cradling her face and wishing you were touching soft skin, instead of cold stone. Not sister by blood, but sister in name. He sees the way you break apart after that; Zhongli feels a human sense of emptiness and pain that comes with her death.
It’s all right, he told himself repeatedly. In his grief he has started to flood himself with reassurances. I still have [Name]. I still have [Name]. I still have [Name].
He sees the way you lose yourself in battle after that. Your attacks become sloppy, you become more careless. You become more injured. Zhongli never bothered with your skill. You were talented and strong enough. But now he finds himself protecting you the times you stumble, the times you start to choke out sobs during battle, the times you go wild and bloodthirsty against those you assume have contributed to her death.
Guizhong has said once that he loved you. Zhongli never bothered to think about that. He assumed he would know it himself, when time came. He didn’t need to worry about being in what mortals called a relationship—he would get this war finished with you, become a mortal, and love you freely. It didn’t matter if you didn’t love him. Zhongli could love you at a safe distance. It would all be all right.
He never imagined your declaration of love towards him would come so easily and devastatingly.
Zhongli sees you struck by a burst of elemental power before anything. He sees the way you shoved him inside; he sees the irony. He was so preoccupied with watching you. He hadn’t seen the enemy crawl up to him or nearly kill him. Like how he was watching you, you were watching him. And now his care has killed you.
“[Name].”
There’s an avalanche of emotions. First, he’s furious. He will leach out the killer and will inflict a thousand times more pain on them. Second, he’s heartbroken. He’s terrified of losing you. He can feel your life ebbing away with each passing moment, and he has seen enough wounds to know no healer can save you. He feels your pulse thrumming beneath your skin and he knows you’re dying.
You smile. It looks more like a grimace. “Just survive this goddamn war.”
Zhongli isn’t sure if he will. He feels like he might kill himself, that he might lay his body down next to yours, so that after death your souls would be intermingled, of sorts. It sounds romantic, but there’s absolutely nothing romantic about your death. He does what the Gods are not supposed to do. He feeds into his humanity; he cries.
“Afterwards, just live as a human. I don’t know. Be a dusty collector of antiques. Be a funeral planner or something strange like that. Just live, okay? You look like you want to die.”
You continue to ramble on. Your sentences become connected with each other. Your eyes start to flutter. Your words become faint and faltering.
“I can’t live with you,” he whispers. “First Guizhong, then you…” it’s all his fault. He should have seen it. He should have been more aware. He should—he should…
It’s too late. You’re dead, and he mourns just like a human; sobbing, aching, and dying a little inside.
For a brief moment Zhongli isn’t a God.
hope everyone liked it! it’s my first post so im apprehensive haha be sure to like/reblog & leave a comment if u can

You were roaming around Mondstadt before this brunette lady, who you’re unfamiliar with, comes up to you. “Hey ___, you don’t know me, and this wasn’t said by me, but I think you deserve to be aware.” She takes a long sigh before she continues on.. “People are saying your husband is seeing another woman. I hope you sort it out. Have a nice day” She leaves with a guilty face slowly. Before she’s fully gone, you’re just confused. How could someone just come up to you and say that? It’s surely not true. Your thoughts take up your mind while walking home from your last of commissions.
When you reach the manor, you’re greeted by Adelinde who tells you your husbands home early. A bad feeling sets in your stomach. You go up the stairs, get undressed and into new clothes more comfortably fitting for relaxing at home as you finally come by his office door. Wondering if you should knock, because he may be busy, you notice him stop writing and hear him say “You can come in, __, I’m not that busy.” He chuckles slightly before you open the door into the low light golden room.
Before you sit down at his desk, the first thing he notices is your facial expression. The way your nose is slightly scrunching up, your eyes are filled with anxiety, until you finally meet eye contact with him.
“What’s wrong?” He says with concern when you finally sit down. “Nothing to worry about” You say pondering and playing with your fingers, now avoiding his crimson eyes. “You’re lying to me, my love. Tell me what’s wrong. If not now you can tell me later, I’ll wait.” He says sweetly waiting for you response when you look back at him.
“It’s just some rumors I’ve heard around the city, nothing big.” You say, slighting shaking and hoping on what the lady said isn’t true. You loved him to much for it to be true. “Tell me, ___. What rumors have you heard?” He says, now his voice more low then he sounded when you came in. You could tell he might have an idea the rumors are about him and you. “A lady came up to me today and told me that, you-” You pause, before you might word what you’re about to say wrong. “Might.. being seeing another woman.”
silence.
You’re too nervous to look at his eyes, knowing how you can feel his eyes locked on you. You finally look at him and you can tell he’s just as confused as you are, but his face is more stern then before. “And who, supposedly told you that?” He said coldly says, making you feel slightly worse. “I don’t know her, she just came up to me, and just told me that before walking away.” You said still keeping your eyes lock on him as he’s doing the same.
“Don’t tell me you believe them?.”
…
“I don’t but I was unsure, that’s why I came here to ask you if you were aware of what people were saying, and if it was true.” You say, finally leaving his eye contact before he puts your hands on yours. “My love, you know I would never do such a thing. You know you’re the one I love, you’re the one I want to be with, you’re the one I chose to marry.” He continues on takes your hand before it contacts his lips. “Please, never believe what the townsfolk have to say about me, or you. They already talk about me another, I don’t need them getting to you.”
You stare at him and you feel tears coming upon your eyes. You don’t know why you worried so much, you knew he loved you. ONLY, you. “I love you.” You manage to choke out before you start tearing up and hanging your head down when you hear him say “Come here.” As you do, he hugs you and you bury your head into his neck.
“I love you more, never forget that.” He says quietly for only you to hear, while he lets you stain his clothes with your tears. “I’m sorry I didn’t believe you.” You say choking it out while he’s quieting you down. “You don’t need to apologize, it’s their fault.” He says lifting your chin to look at him while he places his thumb near your checks to get rid of your tears.
“Get some rest, my love, I have some papers to fill out before I can join you. I love you.” He kisses your temple and one last squeeze before you finally walk out his office, up the stairs, and to your shared bedroom before you drift asleep with you in his arms. <3 ❤️…

(headcanons/comfort)
(anyone can view this post! <3) 🩸🤍
• One thing Diluc will do is order the maids to run you a bath with everything to comfort you. (If you want <3.) They set out towels, drinks, bath bombs, anything that’ll help you relax and ease the pain of your cramps. 🩸
—
• It’s only rarely whenever he’s off of work, but if the pain is that bad he’ll take a day off or two to help you around and comfort you. 🩸
—
• Speaking of comforting you, by your cramps, he’ll use his vision as sort of a heating source to let go of some pressure on you <3. 🩸
—
• He’ll either have the maids make you tea, or he’ll do it himself picking out your favorite flavors and preferences. If not tea, he’ll do whatever he can to your liking. 🩸
—
• More blankets.. if you want to rest in bed, he’ll place out more blankets and pillows to your liking if you’re in the mood for resting. Speaking of the bed, he’ll cuddle with you if you want and if he can due to his schedule <3🩸
—
• He’ll do your commissions if he has too, you usually don’t want him helping out with those or your paperwork since he already has so much to take care of, but you find it awfully sweet of him to take care of your work when you’re not in the right position to do so. 🩸

Tysm for the ppl who like my first post <3 it means a lot really ❤️💋 If you enjoyed this post you can commission me ideas ^^.

MINORS DNI! 🔞

(smut)
It was a VERY, long day before you got home. When you originally started the day, you didn’t expect this much pain in your body from all the commissions the Knights of Favonius, gosh, now you feel like Jean.
As you slumped your way to you and your husbands shared bedroom, you somehow still managed to take off your clothes and prepare yourself for a bathe. You brushed out your hair, got clothes prepared and set them out, set up bubbles, etc. You turned on the hot water, not expecting much but waiting patiently for it to fill 75% of the tub until you hear heavy walking come through the doors. Knowing who it was, you were happy Diluc finally came home.
You missed him and not only that you were hopping he’d join you tonight. The water is finally at the top to your liking and you hear Adeline come by to check up on you and bring you towels, also alerting your husband you’re also home and settling in. She soon told you he’s coming by to check on you. You wait a while and finally hear him knocking on the door, “May I come in?” He asks before you hum your response loudly enough to where he can hear. He walks in through the door, first thing seeing is you in the tub waiting for him. He takes off his jacket and clothes, while putting them aside on the counter to his right. “Long day?” You asked. “Per usual. You yourself look rough.” He chuckles, not meaning that in anyway other than as a joke. He finally walks over to the tub and you move aside, waiting for him to step in. He moved right beside you as he kisses your temple with longing eyes. “I missed you.” You stare before responding “I missed you more.” You say teasingly before laying your head down on this shoulder. “Sit up, let me help you.” He says as he grabs the soap and puts some in his hands. He starts off with your upper torso, so good at the way he massages your longing areas that are in pain. He goes down to your chest, and under your breasts, making sure he can get every place he can to clean. “I can do it myself, you know.” You say while he moved down to your stomach and sides. “I know you’re capable of doing it, but I could tell you felt miserable. Let me help you.” Flushed by the way he moved closer, you only groan slightly by the way he looks at you. Moments later he’s done with your sides and moves to your thighs and ass, looking up at you for your approval. You nod and ask “Do you want me to do you aswell?” You wait for an answer and he responds with “It’s only fair right?” He teases. You needed this, you needed to feel his hands on you after a long day. Your core was aching for him as he goes further along with cleaning out. “Be patient, I’m almost done.” He says, as you’re overstimulated. “Please, Diluc.” You say, out of breath from the way he makes you feel massaging your muscles. “I need you, please.” He stares at you with his God awful handsome face, and says “Tell me what you need.” Him. You need him. “I need you to touch me, please. I want you.” You groan when he moves away and motions you to sit on his lap. You do as he places his hands on your waist, your back facing him, before he whispers in your ear “Tell me where you want me to touch you.” He says while his voice travels down your neck and sends shiver down your spine, causing you to jerk up slightly. “My pussy, please, I want your fingers inside me.” You moan while you’re aching in pain, thinking it was from today’s work, but instead your need for him. He drags his fingers down to your core, circling his fingers in a motion around your throbbing clit and folds. You moan loudly as he also kisses your neck and leaves soft marks that you can cover up easily, while continuing his pace. “Diluc-, please. Faster.” You manage to say as he slips two fingers in your tight hole. Moaning loudly, you feel his hard cock twitch against your near core. He fastens his pace, thursting into your hole each second while you moan his name. “D-.” “Be patient.” He says again, cutting you off, but now in a low raspy voice that sets you off even more.
Due to his movement, his voice, the way he held you, you finally came on his fingers. Feeling relieved of your arrival. He brings his fingers up to his lips, tasting your cum in his mouth. You’re still needy for him, waiting for him to express a response. “Turn around, I’m not done.” You do as he says, he slightly picks you up but your ass, “Fuck, Diluc.” You groan, “I know my love, I know. Let me take care of you.” He says while you allow him to guide you down on his hard cock. Your eyes roll back as you head gods up, he feels so fucking good. You slightly bounce yourself on his hard member, taking it in every time. “Look at me.” You look at him as he also slightly thrusts into your pussy, playing with your clit in the making. “You feel so good.” He says fastening his pace, while you burry your head in his neck letting him take control. You groan as you hold on to him, moving your hips with his as you moan against his neck. “I’m so close, Diluc.” You moan loudly as he goes even faster on you. Teasing you by playing with your tits, leading you close to your arrival. You’re now biting into his neck because of how painful, but pleasurable this sensation is. The sweat on him is making his hair stick to you as you finally cum on his cock as he’s still going. You move your hips even faster to help him reach this arrival, arching your back due to his movement. You finally feel his seed burst into you when you hear his last bits of groans turn louder as you continue and move back and forth. “You- You took me so well, ____.” He says, out of breath. You chuckle as he picks up your chin to look at him. He kisses your lips, your temple, your cheeks, everywhere he could love. You and him still stay in the tub for a while, help washing the suds of you and him when finally you’re both clean and ready for bed. Picking you up, after you’re done dressing, you say “You didn’t have to carry me.” You laugh a bit before he says
“Not after that, you could.”
