Kapil Sharma proves how success can be dangerous!

A man who once made the whole country laugh is now finding it difficult to stay happy himself.
Comedy king Kapil Sharma’s rag to riches story is not unknown. A young boy comes from small town to make it big with his impeccable talent to tickle people’s funny bones. He gets an opportunity and becomes the most famous television personality, thanks to Comedy Nights With Kapil and The Kapil Sharma Show.
With a lovely team in front and behind the camera Kapil went on the peak of his career. But Kapil failed to handle success in the right way.
When everything was going great for Kapil, his ugly spat with co-star Sunil Grover on a flight, while returning from a show in Australia, changed everything for the king of comedy. Many of his team members including Sunil, like Sugandha Mishra, Ali Asgar and his childhood friend Chandan Prabhakar quit The Kapil Sharma Show, as a result the show had to be pulled off air.
Kapil plunged into depression, turned to heavy drinking and even felt suicidal at one point of time. However, after six months things started looking up for Kapil and he came back with a new game show Family Time With Kapil. But it seems that he has still not come to terms with his high-headedness.
He again started trending for posting expletive-laden tweets following Salman Khan’s blackbuck poaching conviction, which were later deleted. Kapil said that his account was hacked, however the next day he accepted that the tweets were written by him. He himself does not understand what he is doing.
It was reported that Kapil has filed a complaint against Neeti and Preeti Simoes, the producers of his previous show Comedy Nights With Kapil, alleging that they are trying to extort money from him, however, the latter have denied any such allegations.
A massive controversy broke out just recently when a telephonic conversation between Kapil and a journalist went viral, where the former could be heard hurling abuses on the latter, for allegedly writing wrong things about Kapil.
In this entire hullabaloo, the channel has decided to put his comeback show on hold and give Kapil some time to gather himself back and start afresh.

Juvenile crimes – Kids losing bliss of childhood
Children are considered to be gifts of god. Their sheer innocence, innate humour and the feeling to love and just be loved makes them the purest of souls living on this earth. However, now it feels that this immaculacy is getting lost in the world of crime.
An increasing number of children below the age of 18 are graduating to heinous crimes, which is indeed a disturbing trend. According to the National Crime Record Bureau (NCRB) data, over the years, juveniles, who were earlier involved in petty crimes like theft or trespassing, are now getting involved in hideous crimes including rape, murder and kidnapping. Every now and then we keep reading in newspapers stories like a 15-year-old raped a 10-year-old and some cases have children of much younger age committing such crimes.
Remember the case of 7-year-old Pradyumn, a Gurgaon school student, who was brutally murdered by a class XI student during the school hours because he wanted to postponed the parent-teacher meeting.
Another similar case, was reported from a Lucknow school, where a class 1 student was stabbed by an 11-year-old girl, who wanted the school to declare a holiday. A teenage boy killed his mother because she had scolded him for not studying properly.
Moreover, respect for teachers has also gone for a toss among the school students. Yet another teenage boy shot dead his school principal because she had reprimanded him for coming late. There are umpteen numbers for such cases.
When we were school kids, we used to have utmost respect for our teachers and after becoming adults we still look upto them with the same feeling. Where is the country heading?
Parents have a major role to play in personality development of their children. It is good to be strict but not at a level where your child is scared to face you at a time when he or she needs you the most.
Be a friend to them. Take keen interest in what is happening in their lives as a friend, talk to them and appreciate them for their achievements. If you feel that something is bothering your child, put him or her at ease, talk it out with them and understand how they feel.
It is also important to keep a track on what your child is watching. Try to put them away from violent, crime based TV shows and movies. Such shows often give rise to a feeling of curiosity in young hearts, forcing them to implement in real life.
If you still catch your children watching such shows and movies, make them understand the difference between what is right and what is wrong. Parents are the only ones who can help keep the child a child and not turn into a criminal at a young age.

Rahul Gandhi shows he’s here to stay!
From being a ‘pappu’ to becoming the party president, Rahul Gandhi has seems to have come a long way and the recently concluded Gujarat elections are proof of the same. Though Congress lost the elections but it managed to restrict BJP below the century mark with only 99 seats in their kitty, leaving everyone surprised.
BJP has been ruling Gujarat for the past 22 years, with 77 out of 182 seats under their wings, the performance of Congress is worth an appreciation.
Ever since Rahul Gandhi entered politics, he became a butt of jokes, thanks to his speeches. He tried to work at the ground level but people felt he is doing all this for publicity and just following what his mother and then Congress president Sonia Gandhi has been asking him to do.
No one could understand what was he trying to say or trying to do. But like it is said that experience makes a man wiser.
We need to accept that aggressive campaigning by Rahul Gandhi along with his patidaar allies worked in their favour.
Gujarat elections have turned out to be an eye opener for BJP as the Gandhi scion has emerged as a tough contender for 2018 Assembly and 2019 Lok Sabha polls. BJP certainly needs to work on their strategy.
However, Rahul Gandhi also needs to understand that caste and religious politics will not always work for them. The voters today have become smarter. They don’t vote in favour of caste and religion, rather they are looking for leaders who will work towards the progress of nation.
For the past two decades, Sonia Gandhi has led the party from the forefront and managed to gain a strong hold and now Rahul has a huge responsibility to keep the legacy alive.

‘Muslim men misusing triple talaq’

Imagine a life where you are constantly living under the fear that your years of marriage can end with the utterance of mere three words ‘talaq talaq talaq’. This is what Muslim women in India are literally going through.
In recent times, there has been an influx of cases where Muslim husbands are divorcing their wives by saying ‘talaq talaq talaq’, via instant messaging services, emails or a phone call. Many of them don’t even get maintenance from their husbands and are left to live in destitute conditions along with their kids.
The Muslim community in India is governed by Sharia law, which gives men the preeminence to divorce their wives. According to their holy book Quran, here’s how the concept of triple talaq works. At first it advises the husband to settle the differences between him and his wife mutually, if this doesn’t work, then a family member can acts as a mediator.
If that also fails, then the husband can say the first ‘talaq’. But to say another ‘talaq’, he has to wait for his wife’s menstrual cycle to end. So this goes on for the period of three months.
And if the wife becomes pregnant, the husband has to wait for the child to born to say ‘talaq’ again. Even after the specific time period, the differences are not settled then husband can say ‘talaq’ for the third time and the marriage would end. This process of triple ‘talaq’ is called ‘Talaq- e-Sunnat'.
However, over the period of time Umar, one of the most powerful caliphs in the history of Islam, introduced the concept of ‘instant talaq’ or ‘Talaq-e-biddah’, which allowed the husband to say ‘talaq talaq talaq’ in succession and end the marriage.
According to Islamic scholars, instant talaq is an option for those who don’t want to wait for three months. Though it has harmed some, but has also helped many women to save themselves from being abused any further.
However, this concept of ‘instant talaq’ is being widely misused now. Many Muslim men have found this to be an easy way to get rid of their ‘strained’ marriage.
Muslim women are urging to abolish ‘Talaq-e-biddah’ and bring back ‘Talaq-e-Sunnat’, which gives both husband and wife the time to work on their broken marriage. It is surprising to see that 21 Islamic countries, like Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Tunisia, Turkey, Indonesia, Iraq, Cyprus, Algeria, Malaysian State of Sarawk, Iran, Sudan, Jordan, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Syria, Morocco, Brunei, Saudi Arabia and Yemen, have banned the use of ‘triple talaq’.
If these countries can, then why can’t India also put an end to the agony of ‘triple talaq’?

Why is second marriage still a taboo?
The idea of second marriage has still not found acceptance in the Indian society. Despite so many campaigns creating awareness about remarriages, just a mere reference to it raises many questions.
It really puzzles me as to why the term 'second marriage' or 'remarriage' is considered a taboo. Everybody has the right to live their life, so why aren't they free to take their own decisions? It is not easy to live a life all alone.
I have seen so many elderly couples, where if one of them dies, it becomes very difficult for other one to survive. The children get so busy in their own work that they rarely get time to spend with the parent.
On the other hand, there are many young couples, whose marriages don't work and they end up parting ways, or one of the two die in unfortunate incident, leaving the other one all alone.
Life is a long journey and there indeed comes a time when every man or woman requires companionship at some point in their lives, so what's the harm in getting married again.
Ever since their childhood, Indian women are made to believe that their life starts and ends with their husbands and that they have to dedicate their whole life to them, even after their death.
And if by chance the woman expresses a desire to remarry they are looked down upon. It is assumed that she has betrayed her husband, which is ridiculous.
If someone wishes to remarry it doesn't mean he or she has forgotten their spouse. It is high time that such mentality is changed. Though the thinking is slowly changing but India still has a long way to go.
