Glute activation 101 . First things first: focus on the exercises that allow you to feel your glutes the most - for me, it’s the exercises I’m showing (with or without a resistance band) you BUT don’t hesitate to try different ones until you find what works for you. Second of all, I’ll be honest, I don’t do always do it now 😬 because I’ve learnt how to activate and engage my glutes and I’m training my glutes 3 times a week so they always feel strong and engaged 😂😝 BUT if you struggle to feel your glutes when you’re training, then you should definitely try it ⁉️ WHAT IT IS ⁉️ Basically, glute activation's purpose is to wake up your glutes so they can work properly, without having other muscles compensating (like your quads or hamstrings or lower back for example) ⁉️ WHEN YOU SHOULD DO IT ⁉️ In the context of lower body training, it should be done at the beginning of your session, to ensure that your glutes are firing up and doing their job! ⁉️ WHO IT IS FOR ⁉️ Everyone! You probably heard about glute activation only in the context of building a booty but this is absolutely not only for weight lifters 😉 Even runners for example need strong, firing glutes! And given that most people underuse their glutes, doing these glute activation moves can help as having weak glutes can cause knee, back, hip or ankle pain. I was always telling myself: “Oh, I’m just the fat friend. All my other friends cute in every freaking outfit. ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ Everything they put on looks amazing, and then there’s me in my baggy sweatpants and in my baggy sweatshirt trying to hide my body from the world.” ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ Now, I don’t believe in the F word, I think that you should never use it, especially when saying it towards yourself. If this is something that you say about yourself, or other people joke about, you HAVE TO STOP! ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ You are not fat. ⠀⠀ You have fat.⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ That is something I realized later.. .You have fat. You also have fingernails, right? Does that make you a fingernail? Spinach Artichoke Spaghetti Squash 😋 . 🍽️ Ingredients: 1 large spaghetti squash, cut in half, seeds removed 2 Tbsp olive oil Fresh ground pepper 1 chicken breast 4 artichoke hearts, drained and quartered 1 cup fresh spinach 1/4 cup fat-free shredded mozzarella cheese . 🍽️ Ingredients: 1. For the spaghetti squash: Preheat oven to 425 F. 2. Got one large spaghetti squash in half, lengthwise. Discard seeds. Drizzle 1 Tbsp olive oil in each half of squash and Sparkle with equal amounts salt and pepper. Place face-down, on a parchment paper or aluminum foil lined baking sheet. Roast squash in preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, until squash is tender and shreds easily with fork. 3. Preheat skillet to medium-high heat and spray with non-stick spray. Place cubed chicken and pepper into skillet and cook until chicken is cooked through. Remove chicken and set aside. 4. Add artichoke hearts and spinach to heated skillet. Let simmer for 3-5 minutes. 6. Fill each half with equal parts of the spinach artichokes and chicken mixture. Top with mozzarella cheese. 7. Set oven to high broil. Broil spaghetti squash halves for 3-5 minutes, or until cheese just starts to bubble and turns a light golden brown. ENJOY! . DID YOU KNOW?
