May 24th marks the birth of an unconventional, spunky, and hyper little boy, Jack Esposito.

Third youngest Esposito—somewhat a leader of the three youngest Espositos—he’s a manipulator of metal, bending it to his will and essentially making him something quite dangerous in a city. He’s hyper, sometimes way in over his head, doesn’t really care for the confines of gender roles, and feels in his heart of hearts that he is strongest when with his family.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHARLOTTE CLARKE

May 16th marks the birth of an unexpected extra gifted and cursed child, who grew up much lonelier than the Espositos—Charlotte Clarke.

Passionate, kind, and a reader, Charlotte is a girl who just wants to experience the joys of the world. However unfortunately for her, she sticks out like a sore thumb. Whether it’s the natural unnaturally-colored ends of her hair that always catches people’s attention or her curse freezing her in a moment in public where people don’t know what’s going on with her, she was always ousted from the rest of her peers. She became the social pariah, the butt of the joke, everything but the acceptance that she so desperately craved in her school environment.

It truly begs the question of how lonely it is to be gifted and cursed.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BENJIE ESPOSITO.

May 10th marks the birth of the youngest Esposito, and final Gifted and Cursed child—Benjie Esposito.

Feisty, defensive, and mean, this 6-year-old boy is probably the reason most people don’t want kids. Although it is hard to particularly blame him when for the short amount of time he’s been on this earth, all he knew was violence. Violence from his parents, the people meant to love them, yet hated them all for being too magical—too demonic. Violence from survival mode, time on the run proving that the easiest way to win is through punches and aggression. The only part of his world that gave him any warmth was his siblings.

Wouldn’t you be a little cold and distant if that were the case?

Baby Charlotte how I love you so.

The other day I remembered this fun nifty little fact about myself, that being that when I was little (think elementary school) I was incredibly touch-starved but also I was incredibly afraid of asking for hugs (blah blah blah, fear of rejection, insert backstory stuff here), so instead I would hug books. Usually the book I was reading at the moment, but essentially I would hug the book close to my chest and it would make me feel very whole. It was very nice!!

And I thought about how that’s probably something Charlotte would also do so I drew it :)
