In this weeks episode of "Is it to wasted to save..."
15" 3 jaw chuck. Round 1: Aerokroil...made her move a bit.
I think I'm going to attempt to take this apart and pull the scroll out rather than try to run all the jaws out and grind that crap up in there. That way I can soak each half, the scroll, and pinions in @evapo_rust and then slide the jaws out...we'll see..stay tuned.

Turbo sketch mode engage. Actually really not bad...I keep several sizes of pipe that are turned and faced just for welding onto parts to grab in the lathe chuck. Sometimes even when just boring larger holes, it's just quicker in the lathe than the mill. For scale, thats a 2-3/8" twist drill (that badly needs a tune up in the grinder.)

More @mathey.dearman action. Got a fair amount of questions about this cutter from my other post.
Runs with #40 cotter pinned double strand chain so you can easily make the chain whatever length you need. These are very solid cutters that will fit a huge range of pipe as opposed to the saddle type cutters that fit a lot more narrow range of sizes. For the bigger sizes they have support tracks that keep the cutter on a straight track (I don't have any of them) the longer the chain gets it can get hard to keep it tracking straight, but you can still get it done if you're careful. Fits nicely in a @milwaukeetool XL Packout.

Hydraulic repair is something I do a lot of. Very fortunate to have a friend in the hydraulic biz with a humbling amount of knowledge, who is hopefully working his way to a well deserved retirement, who has taught me a lot.
Doing a bit of everything is a blessing and a curse. The variety is refreshing, the knowledge you have to absorb is fulfilling to a learning addict, and the ability to pivot and get work when others may not be skilled in other facets makes life a little easier knowing you can provide for your kiddos if there isn't something to weld that week.
Though sometimes it's easy to look at perfect dimed out welds or amazing fitment from someone who does that day in, day out and kinda get down on yourself and think that you just suck. But maybe you do more than one thing and you are a cube among squares. Or maybe you actually just suck, I don't know. You kinda just gotto ask around to know.
