Every time I (intersex) find a new intersex blog (awesome) I have to cite the incantation "please don't piss me off" and then they do anyway because tumblr is the transmisogyny website

On the job as a priestess. Some dope comes in asking to be blessed on her forthcoming journey as part of the entourage of the outgoing magistrate for Neustria. By ancient tradition and the sacred bylaws, my goddess must be invoked directly for this blessing. I scowl. I hate this part.
I recite the formula of invocation, the formula of polite requests, and- nothing. The petitioner has tears in her eyes. "It's not you, it's her," I tell her. There is nothing for it.
I step over to the shrine itself, the subordinate home of a god, and I hammer on the shrine with my fist. "Get up, you good-for-nothing! Deadbeat goddess, most supreme NEET among the gods, you have a humble devotee who wishes to shower you in praise and temple fees! I serve you freely and voluntarily, you know! I could walk at anytime and leave you to be tended by some political sinecure! Goddess with the failgirl priestesses, that's where you'll be!" And some other things equally gentle and forbearing.
She manifests once I pause for breath, seven feet tall and sticking her tongue out at me. The petitioner looks from her to me, back again. My goddess pats her head. "Thy devotion is heartening. Mine servant shalt grant thee the boon thou seek'st." My scowl doesn't fade. She only uses the archaicism when she's feeling really bratty.

That rabbit/hare post is messing me up. I’d thought they were synonyms. Their development and social behavior are all different. They can’t even interbreed. They don’t have the same number of chromosomes. Dogs, wolves, jackals, and coyotes can mate with each other and have fertile offspring but rabbits and hares cant even make infertile ones bc they just die in the womb. Wack.

Media primarily about a woman or team of women
• Showrunners/Artist/Whatever adds a Male Counterpart
• The Fandom obsesses over the Male to an absurd degree
• The media becomes popular or known as “the show with those Male Characters”
• Some level of the creative process shifts to focus on the Male Characters to cash in on the attention
Many such cases

I am incredibly apprehensive about Homestuck The Animated Series happening, I think the cultural context of Homestuck is so far removed from now that it will be… jarring. But without going into a spiel about it all, im calling it here and now
#june egbert#never apparently#i dont see it now#im being a pissy bitch#i know#but with everything going on#and everyone involved#i cant imagine#this will be#tastefully?#is not the word

i think the near-extinction of people making fun, deep and/or unique interactive text-based browser games, projects and stories is catastrophic to the internet. i'm talking pre-itch.io era, nothing against it.
there are a lot of fun ones listed here and here but for the most part, they were made years ago and are now a dying breed. i get why. there's no money in it. factoring in the cost of web hosting and servers, it probably costs money. it's just sad that it's a dying art form.
anyway, here's some of my favorite browser-based interactive projects and games, if you're into that kind of thing. 90% of them are on the lists that i linked above.
A Better World - create an alternate history timeline
Alter Ego - abandonware birth-to-death life simulator game
Seedship - text-based game about colonizing a new planet
Sandboxels or ThisIsSand - free-falling sand physics games
Little Alchemy 2 - combine various elements to make new ones
Infinite Craft - kind of the same as Little Alchemy
ZenGM - simulate sports
Tamajoji - browser-based tamagotchi
IFDB - interactive fiction database (text adventure games)
Written Realms - more text adventure games with a user interface
The Cafe & Diner - mystery game
The New Campaign Trail - US presidential campaign game
Money Simulator - simulate financial decisions
Genesis - text-based adventure/fantasy game
Level 13 - text-based science fiction adventure game
Miniconomy - player driven economy game
Checkbox Olympics - games involving clicking checkboxes
BrantSteele.net - game show and Hunger Games simulators
Murder Games - fight to the death simulator by Orteil
Cookie Clicker - different but felt weird not including it. by Orteil.
if you're ever thinking about making a niche project that only a select number of individuals will be nerdy enough to enjoy, keep in mind i've been playing some of these games off and on for 20~ years (Alter Ego, for example). quite literally a lifetime of replayability.

pls when you see butchness and transmasculinity conflated, esp for community spaces or events, take 5 seconds to think about how that probably makes transfem butches feel 😐
