putting together a thread of Black trans mutual aid funds / orgs since it’s Juneteenth and also the government is going all in on trying to drive trans people out of existence and Black trans people, specifically Black trans women, are at the heart of queer and trans organizing in the US:

the okra project (Black trans led mutual aid)

Black trans travel fund (provides Black trans women with financial and material support)

for the gworls (provides rent assistance and medical funds to Black trans women through parties and fundraising)

G.L.I.T.S. (grassroots direct aid and advocacy org focused in LGBTQ people of color in NYC, particularly trans women of color)

my sistah’s house memphis (housing and community support for Black and brown trans people)

I’m sure there are about a million other mutual aid groups and individual fundraisers out there and these are just a small sample of where you can direct aid, so please drop others you know of in the reblogs!

just completed an important but relatively uncomplicated task that's been hanging over my head for 2 weeks straight. i have been having actual nightmares and anxiety over this, worrying i will never get it done. it took me all of 30 minutes and was lightly annoying but not terrible. the relief i feel is physically palpable, like a sword has been removed from my sternum. and yet! in the nature of the human spirit! i will learn nothing from this experience!
