It took me a lifetime to learn how to make peace with myself.

Waking up in the middle of the night, having involuntary flashbacks from the past, feeling homesick and thinking how fast time passes, then is when you learn to appreciate your time and every second of it. Never underestimate the power of time, because in a blink of an eye everything can be gone.

I have never felt so many emotions altogether. Life is definitely a journey but oh boy! feels like a roller coaster. From saying goodbyes, traveling, changing many things in my life. It’s always unexpected and scary to just thing about the future. Whoever says it’s a piece of cake, got it all wrong or probably forgot about the horrid memories from it. There is no instructions, manual that tells you how to make it step-by-step, But If we think about it, how boring would it be? Lets take the risk, enjoy, cry, laugh, feel the pain, because that is what makes us cherish the simplest moments and people around us. Forget about those what ifs, open the door, go outside and live!

Patience may seem impossible, but oh, it is so worth it.

one day, I will be brave enough to tell my story out loud.

All this time we got for ourselves

Instead, we fought, we argued, we blamed each other for everything, we didn’t listen to our hearts, just what our resentment was telling us to do.

Now that it’s too damaged, I stop and think for a moment, if we had shared more time together, If, instead of blaming we had some empathy, maybe then, things could have remained together.

Not all heartbreaks are made by an ex, sometimes it’s made by a friend, or a parent.

the way things end

There will always be words left to say, pending goodbyes, hugs that could of last longer, a kiss that could prove how you feel about the person, a simple stare to reassure how much you love that special someone.

why sometimes leaving is the best

It’s been said that you should put all of your effort in someone, fighting until the last breath, until there’s no more energy, but I think life has changed that perspective i had.

Of course, there’s the beauty and art of loving someone will all your heart and soul, but we forget about ourselves, and that’s not good. It’s not that you need to be selfish, but there must be self love, we come to this world alone and we will leave this world alone.

One of the teachings of life is, to enjoy, live to the fullest, love as much as you can, accomplish all your dreams, and don’t die unhappy. Well ladies and gentlemen, I am alive, but i am not happy, I feel empty, though I love people and people love me back, I haven’t found that special something that will enlighten me to be a better person.

I had the best man by my side, who I truly loved, but his love couldn’t be compared to mine. He is a human, and he makes mistakes like you and I, he was sweet, caring and amazing. But my beloved also cheated, lied, and hurt me. That didn’t affect my love for him, and I waited for him, I remember telling him ‘’ I would wait for you even if that takes me a lifetime’’

I am still strong enough and capable of waiting, that is not an issue, but I cannot beg for love in return when there’s no will. Heck, I loved my man too much, but I need to come back to me, and let me enjoy life, and him, on the other side, to live happy as he wished. 

I will always say, don’t leave without telling everyone how you feel about them, forgive, because everyone deserves to be forgiven, let life do it’s job. The process of leaving and letting go is the hardest, and saying goodbye is not for cowards, it’s for people who are too strong to confront the reality and cycle of life. 

Let go, and maybe, you’ll see what you will get in return.
