Surprised I'm still occasionally getting new followers. Sad to say it, but I'm feeling so alienated on here that I can't bring myself to look up fandom stuff and reblog it anymore, and I think that's what most people followed me for in the first place, the art reblogs. Nowadays if I reblog anything it's to boost my own stuff or if someone has tagged me in something, and I'm not even sure that's going to happen anymore.

Anyway. I have an AO3 I plan on updating until I finish my final passion project. (I really hate the state of online fandom now, esp in fanfic spaces. People would rather be silent and invisible ) You can go over there. Maybe even leave a comment if you like what you see.

people might think creating OC lore involves a lot of thinking & planning, but in my personal experience, OC development is more like a divine vision from a god slamming you over the head with a mallet while ur doing the fuckin dishes or folding laundry

I have Cavenlawbin brainrot on account of my devotion to Lawbin (I am CEO and head priestess of Lawbin, in my head), my Cavendish brainrot, and my interest in Cavenlaw (a consequence of my Cavendish brainrot). Throw in the scenes involving all three and you got the ingredients for something wholly special for me.

But I've never had much of an in for Cavendish/Robin (Cavenbin, I'm calling it) beyond all three's scenes together, with heavy emphasis on him giving her his coat to cover her wounds. That act of old school romantic chivalry, just like Cavendish carrying Law like a damsel in distress, makes my brain go fuzzy in a nice way.

Well anyway I was listening to Björk's song Venus as a Boy and thought of Cavendish starring as Venus as a Boy (it should be obvious why, he literally looks like a son of Aphrodite and has a taste for beauty even if popularity is his main focus), and then thought of Robin as the narrator of the song, so there we have it.

Hi, I noticed your story has conflict in it, and I was wondering why you didn't just write people who are right doing everything correctly with a note saying "I enthusiastically co-sign everything in this story"? Must be some kind of mistake haha

I like leaving long comments on the fics I like. I like mentioning all the stuff in the chapter/fic that moved me. I like throwing in a little bit of analysis because I like it when a work makes me want to chew on it and digest it. I like doing all this and throwing in references to some classic fangirly emotions because fandom is supposed to be fun, and I believe in merging the fun of fanworks with the fulfillment of dissecting the text. (Multitasking.)

I like putting out the good in the world that I would like to receive.

Feels good and it's free.

My young coworker and I kind of have some common interests. (I say kind of because we like some of the same things but go about in different ways. For example she told me she watches anime sped up because "they talk to slow" and the rants I've gone on about that kind of behavior just played through my head all at once. I'm pretentious in the way the online world has redefined the word to mean "Person who cares about art for the sake of art and not as just mindless entertainment to avoid being alone with their thoughts.") We both like anime, and she asked me if I've ever gone to a convention. (Neither of us have.) She even asked me what character I'd cosplay as if I went.

I told her I didn't know at first but then came back later and said I'd cosplay as Juno because it'd be easier to cobble together an outfit based off what she'd wear.

I then showed her these two pictures. She was like "Awww, she's so pretty!"

I realized I showed her pictures of my OC like a parent would show pics of their kid. Later I even showed her a pic of my cat.

A text post came to me when I came home:

No, I don't have kids, but I can show you pictures of my OCs and my cat.

Oh my god my friend reminded me it's Mermay and every year I tell myself I'm going to c0mm some Mermay art of an OC and every year I forget.

And now Mermay is nearly over and I've splurged enough on art, and Mermay calls for a little bit of extravagance.

But this is the extravagance I've allowed myself, esp on the left.

Next year

Didn't want to do a Spiderman AU so the logical conclusion was Spiderman undies. And it's thanks to this that I've decided Juno's husband Dev likes superheroes. Spiderman and Superman are his favorites.

I'm going to be scarce on here as far as posting goes. I want to focus on my canon/OC fic and the OCs that populate that canon/OC fic. And I feel like I'm kinda just talking to myself at this point. Which was fine when this blog was new, but this blog is at least six years old by now, so I'm just going to be posting art I c0mm and go because I feel like art deserves to be seen.

Should anyone want to reach me though, you can DM me. (I had to close asks because the only asks I was getting after a while were spambots exploiting a genocide. It gets demoralizing.
