Please have your boarding pass and passport ready for a new RWRB adventure! This prompt-based fest invites creators to follow the RWRB crew beyond the White House and Kensington Palace. Perhaps across continents, maybe through hidden alleyways in foreign cities, or just a strong desire to travel.

OUR TRAVEL ITINERARY:

First Destination: Prompting (May 25-June 8)

Prompts that take our beloved characters on adventures to different cities, countries, or even fictional worlds. From strolls through vibrant Dutch tulip fields to sunrise mountain climbing in the Tetons, from secret rendezvous in Tokyo to road trips through Canada’s maritime provinces, where does your wanderlust take you? Prompts can focus on any location or cultural experience: royal visits, diplomatic missions, honeymoon getaways, meet-cutes at Airbnbs, or just a fun, off-the-beaten-path trip. The goal of the event is to have a global feel and get to travel the world through our characters’ eyes!

Second Destination: Creating (June 9-August 8)

Claim a prompt that speaks to your travel-loving heart. All AO3-supported creations are welcome, fics, podfics, fanart, filks, etc… However you choose to tell your travel tale, we’d love to have you join our adventure.

Final Destination: Posting (August 11-18)

Works will be posted anonymously, the number of days will depend on how many works are submitted and creators will be revealed shortly after! Enjoy what your fellow creators have made, and who knows, these adventures may inspire your own wanderlust too!

I posted on BlueSky asking who everyone’s dream fic/art collaborator would be, and Meg (claremontdiazfox on AO3) took the idea and RAN with it! They’re now hosting the first ever RWRB Collab Bingo fest, and I’m so excited! They’re not on Tumblr so I’m here to do some promo.

The coolest thing about this fest is that it’ll be WRITER/WRITER and ARTIST/ARTIST collabs! If you’ve ever wanted to work with a fellow writer or artist in the RWRB fandom (I know I have!), then this would be perfect for you.

Here’s how it works:

1) Fill in the registration form here by Jan 31: https://forms.office.com/r/EdPpHbJKgc

2) Choose one of the bingo cards. (There are both SFW and NSFW cards available.)

3) You’ll be paired with another writer or artist who chose the same bingo card as you. You’ll receive your match by Feb 15.

4) Choose how you want to collaborate with your partner and how you want to work on the prompts!

You can use all the prompts in one big fic or artwork, take turns writing or drawing for different prompts, write or draw for each prompt together, etc. The sky’s the limit! For fics, the minimum word count is 100 words. For art, any type of art works!

5) Post your works to the RWRB Collab Bingo collection (which will be linked later on) and try to get through all the prompts! (But if you even just do one or two prompts, that’s worth celebrating!)

You’re more than welcome to sign up as both a writer AND an artist if you’re one of God’s favorites and can do both. Just submit the form twice!

HI I WROTE (the beginning of) SOMETHING SORT OF:

Alex knows Henry does amateur porn. Solo stuff and scenes with partners. He has a following on OnlyFans and is open with Alex about who is coming over, when.

They came up with a process that works for them and Alex usually goes to the library or a nearby cafe for a couple of hours when Henry brings people over.

It’s not that Alex doesn’t approve. He does. Rather, something inside him feels too interested.

The two boys have known each other for four years now and lived together for all of them. Alex silently praises their college’s roommate selection system, which was, in this case, random but the best thing to ever happen to Alex.

Henry started the OnlyFans some time after they moved into the apartment. At first it was only solo stuff. Alex didn’t ask too many details. And if he pulled up Henry’s page, saw a subscribers only video of Henry squatting over a dildo, peering back over his shoulder with his cheeks flushed and his hair sweaty, felt a twist in his gut and immediately slammed his laptop shut…well, who could say.

When partners started joining the videos, Henry asked Alex if it was okay that they come to the apartment.

Alex felt extremely nauseous but agreed.

It was only after the first time, when Alex sat in his room with his headphones on and maybe moved one off his ear and maybe heard the sound of flesh on flesh and desperate little whimpers he maybe hoped were Henry, that he decided it was best to leave altogether.

He didn’t need to panic about his sexuality and the way his cock ached when he heard his best friend getting railed every time Hen had work.

So the months passed and everything carried on normally. Alex goes to class, Henry writes some days and works on others, they cook together in the evening (which is to say Alex lets Henry stir stuff sometimes) and settle on the couch to watch tv. Sometimes they walk David together or go out with Pez, Nora, and June. Sometimes Alex stays late at school and Henry brings him food to the library, bending down to kiss Alex’s head and scolding him for not eating.

All in all, Alex would say it’s working for them. If, at the end of the day, he finds Henry tucked into his side and swearing up and down that he’s not tired even while his eyes are shut, Alex will be content. He thinks.

He hopes.

Thank you @kiwiana-writes and @porcelainmortal for the tags! I have a kind of exciting offering today. It’ll be a while before this comes out of WIP status, I think, and it will most likely be a oneshot? But you know what, IDK anything, so we’ll see what happens.

“The caterer asked if we’d like bespoke cocktails at the reception.”

Alex glances over at where Henry’s scribbling something in a notebook at the dining table. His blond hair is falling into his eyes and his nose is scrunched in concentration; basically, he looks so fucking adorable that Alex can’t resist getting off the couch and wrapping his arms around him.

“If you didn’t tell them we want ten flavors of margarita, I’m disowning you,” Alex says, kissing up the side of Henry’s neck and enjoying the flush that travels along the same path. Even after two years together, Henry’s so easy to rile up. Alex is just as obsessed with it as he was the first time Henry warmed under his touch.

“You can’t disown me. It’s not like you’re adopting me,” Henry says, sliding long fingers into Alex’s hair and tugging just this side of too rough.

Alex makes a noise he’s not proud of and scrapes his teeth over Henry’s jaw. He murmurs against Henry’s skin, “I’m adopting your last name, aren’t I?”

Me at 10pm: Gotta sleep so I can work 11 hours tomorrow.

Me at 4am:

“You’re impossibly fast—and strong.” Alex tries to keep his voice steady. He knows Henry’s right behind him, but the body heat he normally expects from someone standing that close is missing in a way that sends a shiver down his spine. “Your skin is pale white and ice cold. Your eyes change color, and sometimes you speak like… like you’re from a different time. You never eat anything. You don’t go into the sunlight.”

Henry doesn’t respond, but Alex knows he’s still there. Alex takes a breath and makes himself keep going, because his mind won’t stop whirring until he gets all the answers.

“How old are you?” he asks.

There’s a shorter pause than Alex expects before Henry replies, “Seventeen.”

Alex nods, then swallows. “How long have you been seventeen?”

This time, Henry does hesitate.

Finally, he says, “A while.”
