dol fallout au, basic ideas rattling around in the ol' noggin:

-vault overseer bailey! is there a vault experiment? maybe, don't worry about it :)

-kylar being your weird creepy neighbor in either a wasteland settlement or vault. may or may not sell chems, you get a discount though!

-caravan guard whitney, maybe an ex raider who still has some fragile ties to their old gang. doesn't stick to their caravan for too long, gets in some spat with whoever hired them and ends up on their own again soon enough.

-ghoul eden, people don't like them so they don't like other people, really different person pre-war. Still probably lives in the middle of nowhere, on a little ranch they've got trapped to hell and back

-harper's running the experiments in a vault, maybe not the overseer but they've definitely got at least some say in what goes on.

-robin's a naive player companion you convinced to escape the shitty little vault you grew up in together. may or may not go a little crazy in the wasteland. instead of losing or gaining approval maybe your actions contribute to their sanity?

-alex still runs a farm on the outskirts of a small settlement, plenty of little mutant dogs running around to protect the farm. not trapped up like eden's, so their fields keep getting fucked over by mole rats and other wasteland beasties the mutts don't kill fast enough.

I want Robin to snap. Like, finally get angry and have a breakdown about how he hates the town, hates how people can be so messed up, hates how Bailey is making him pay rent, etc

Let him admit that he's sorry he isn't doing enough to help pay his share of the rent, that he has to rely on you a lot.

Let Robin fight back or stand up for you while still being the sweet boy you grew up with. Let him throw a punch at Whitney or let him have a brawl with Kylar because he's fed up with Kylar climbing through your window at night to the point that you and Sydney would have to drag Robin out of the cafeteria to cool off

Welcome Home

It’d been a while since you’d set foot in the orphanage, and as your feet carry you to your room you find the atmosphere almost comforting in its own fucked up way. The eyes of strangers you know by name following your every move, the smell of mildew, the frayed sign hanging on Robin’s door. Home.

When you finally get to your room, you find yourself leaning against the doorframe. It hasn’t changed at all. This space of yours that had been infringed upon so many times just for the crime of being yours, It lay untouched in your absence. 

How long would that peace remain, now that you’ve returned?

like once a month I debate writing here again, so I might try to ease back into it, but I'll probably be mixing in oc content with dol.

I never actually ment to leave this blog behind lol I just got really into ffxiv and it tanked my motivation for writing. feeling more normal now though, so we'll see what happens !

God i love making Kylar jealous on purpose, everytime they’re nearby I always make sure to act up with anyone nearby. Normal Kylar’s sweet or whatever but there’s smth abt them being a more active threat that I’m kinda obsessed with I can’t explain it.

Normal Kylar boring, my original fav but I’ve moved on (my taste got even worse). High jealousy Kylar? That’s my shit, they can get it

Currently have a few things I'm working on, but I'd love to do some requests during breaks! So feel free to send some asks in, all the normal stuff is allowed but rn I'll probably prioritize the following:

-queer content (mlm, wlw, trans pc or characters)

-nsfw content, I def need the practice

-au's! doesn't have to be anything already mentioned on my blog but I do think it'd be fun to elaborate more on the monster au, hollywood au, or even get more into the life after graduation stuff

-quick fun stuff like what video games the LI's would play or songs i associate with them. it's easy and fun so I'd be down to do that sort of thing. (I also may or may not already have playlists in the works)

My inbox is empty rn and asks/requests keep me from getting burnt out so really anything is appreciated to kinda give me something to do atm !

How pissed do y'all think Whitney is when they realize how hard they've fallen for pc?

I think it'd be something they'd realize in some super mundane moment, maybe they were hanging out in the park and you didn't show up. They get a little worried, then maybe a little mad you didn't show even though god knows they'd never bothered to ask you to. Then it hits them that they miss you, that they worry when you're not around and that your presence is something they need and that they want you for more than just sex. Just a steady line of thought that leads to the realization that they love you.

Everything with Whit is so ridiculously bittersweet. Like I want soft moments and fluff but I know with them you gotta have angst too

omg thank you! I was trying to come up with more variety while I was writing that last night but my brain just wasn't cooperating so I went with classics mostly!

I was also trying to pick monsters that fit in better with a human crowd, but with the concept being monsters living amongst people that doesn't really matter now that I think abt it?

Might make a pt 2 or an alternate picks version now for more variety since I don't have anything else to work on atm

Monster AU!

My overall thoughts on what kind of monster/other roll different characters might play in an au where various monsters just roam free. Just something quick I wrote for funsies. Not beta'd or anything.

Bailey + LIs (besides Avery)

Bailey The Caretaker

Fae aren’t really known for getting too involved in human affairs, but after walking a little too close to the edge of human society, Bailey’s gained interest. They take more than your money now, not that you know that. They’ve stolen your whole life so quickly you’re not quite sure when it all went to shit. You turn in your weekly rent and you go out into town to get back to work. The streets are more colorful recently, and the air smells a little sweeter. You’re not sure why, but you don’t question it.

Robin The Orphan

While I wanna say Robin at least starts as entirely human, I think it’d be fun if they got mixed up with demons while looking to make a pact to ensure PC’s protection. You’ve seen less and less of Robin these days, and they seem different when you do meet. They’re a little pushier, there’s an edge to them that you haven’t seen before. They seem happy though, so you try not to push it.

Whitney The Bully

Look I know a lot of people would probably go incubus/succubus for Whitney, but here me out on vampire Whit. Whitney’s popular, devious, a total dick who gets away with whatever they want. Vampire’s are a modern classic, kinda like the stereotype Whitney’s character is based on. 

So just imagine vampire Whitney who wins everyone over with their seemingly supernatural charm, vampire Whitney who’s just too perfect at everything they do without trying. Everything seems normal until you get too close. Their eyes are such a deep shade of red they’re almost black, and their nails and teeth are just sharp enough to be unsettling. Every time you’re together they insist on making you bleed, and you’re not sure you can blame it on just sadism.

Kylar The Loner

Kylar descended from a long line of witches, born into a powerful and influential coven. They’ve been training since they were young, but they just don’t seem to hold the same amount of power their family does. They’re a master with potions though, always coming up with powerful new concoctions. They haven’t told anyone about how they’ve been using unsuspecting townies to test their potions. There’s a specific one they’ve been meaning to give you, but they haven’t perfected the formula yet. Apparently it's supposed to help you with your studies, you’re not entirely sure if you buy that though.

Sydney The Faithful/Fallen

I wanted something for Sydney that wasn't the classic angel or demon trope while still fitting with their character arc, sorry if its kinda out there. Sydney’s human, at least they were. The temple's guidance has brought them a gift of sorts. Sydney can tame and even control the beasts around town, but the ability itself can be quite draining for a human so they try not to use it often. Over time, it changes them. Bit by bit, the color being drained from their body over time and repeated use of their newfound abilities, leaving them an almost wraith-like appearance. You don’t know exactly what the temple did, but you begin to think Sydney isn’t too different from the very beasts they control.

Eden The Hunter

I think Eden would be a druid, less focused on hunting the animals of the forest and more intent on the monsters that trespass. They’re very set in tradition, and while they’re not the type to openly worship the forest and the creatures that make their home here, they do protect it and plan to do so till they draw their final breath. They won’t force you to partake in most of their routine, but they do expect you not to stray too far from their cabin. Eden’s already learned all the lessons the forest has to teach, and they won’t allow you to follow such a dark path. So stay home, yeah? 

Alex The Farmhand

Alex isn’t anything too special, their mother was a witch but the gift never seemed to pass onto them. What little power they do have they use to help out around the farm, charm the occasional steed that’s gotten a bit too wild, enchant the fertilizer for the crops. They only really use their magic for convenience, but you can usually find them studying their mother’s grimoire when they have free time. They never really seemed to get anywhere with it before, but you’ve been helping them with their studies recently. Nothing too crazy, just helping them annotate things over a late night cup of tea, but it seems to be working. At least that’s what you tell Alex when they ask, even if it isn’t really true.

I was stuck at work and thinking about horror movies and DoL so…horror movies I think the diff characters would like:

Alex likes the Friday the 13th series but their favorite is Jason X. Likes Freddy vs Jason but hasn’t seen a single Nightmare on Elm Street movie.

Avery insists they don’t like horror movies because they’re too low-brow. They argue on the internet about what the best Saw trap is. Also likes The Collector but the scenes with insects freak them out. Will make you watch Terrifier with them. You can cling to Avery if you get scared, but that’s it. Also makes you marathon all the Hellraiser movies with them, but will have their hand down your pants, or guide your hand down theirs, during the more boring entries.

Bailey likes Halloween. Has seen all the Halloween movies but only consider the 1978 and 2018 films as cannon. Doesn’t like the RZ Halloween. Likes the Creep movies, thinks Creep 2 is better than the first. Sometimes start humming the Peach Fuzz song without realizing it.

Eden’s a fan of the classics; Halloween, Texas Chainsaw, Friday the 13th. Not a fan of Nightmare on Elm Street but has seen them all.

Great Hawk The Birds will not watch movies with you. Will sit next to you and preen.

Kylar loves horror movies, even if they get freaked out. Loves The Boy, obviously. Was devastated to learn The Boy 2 didn’t have Brahms in it. Quotes Candy Man on the regular. Corpse Bride is their go-to feel-good Halloween movie. They love Trick ‘r Treat. Will mention the 'rules of Halloween’ as if it’s common knowledge. Really liked Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon and almost cried at the end credit scene.

Leighton likes the Child’s Play franchise, specifically Bride Of Chucky and Cult of Chucky. Not a fan of the remake. Big fan of IT, both the original and the remake. Watches Carrie whenever a school dance is coming up. Summer of 84 is a recent favorite.

Remy isn’t the biggest horror movie person but they have a soft spot for the original Texas Chainsaw. Also liked The Ritual.

Robin doesn’t like horror movies but if you made them pick one it would either be Beetlejuice or Franken Weenie. Are those horror movies? No, but that’s as close as Robin gets to horror. Might enjoy the start of Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon but when it gets to the actual killing parts of the movie, Robin is hiding behind their hands.

Whitney says their favorite horror movie is Saw but it’s the 1974 Black Christmas. Watches Nightmare Before Christmas every year, but no one knows that. Has seen all the Nightmare on Elm Street movies, marathons them when they’re in a mood. Loves the Scream movies. Really liked Hellfest and tries to get you to watch it with them. They won’t warn you about any of the triggering content. Might try to pin your arms so you can’t cover your eyes during the more gruesome kills. Loves Jennifer’s Body, for horny reasons. Same with Ginger Snaps.

Wren is a Coraline fan. It’s not a horror movie, but it’s their go-to Halloween movie. Aso likes Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon, Trick 'r Treat, and Hellfest.
