Going from “bob is looking at their memories and is going to use them against each character later” to “omg bob saw those memories and realised he’s not alone at all and there are other people in the world who he could actually relate to” was wild coz I didn’t expect it until I was already crying.

Bob giving up control of his life to the physical embodiment of his depression and then beating himself up over it and the void just becoming more powerful as a result is such a perfect metaphor. like yeah, that's exactly how it is, you can't beat depression with self-loathing, you need support and purpose and the people you love and loves you. they pulled it off beautifully

i was trolling gerran howell (whittaker in the pitt)'s imdb page & stumbled upon freedom's path, which is an american civil war period drama. the first THIRTY MINUTES are all whump: his character (william)'s friend dies right in front of him, so out of desperation, william stabs himself in the leg with a bayonet to play dead + escape confederate soldiers. from there, a man drags (and at some points, fireman's carries) him across the countryside to safety, where he's stitched up. it's amazing!!!

OMG period drama and the whump sounds so good- YESSSSSSS my friend. i MUST watch this movie immediately. so excited…thanks for the rec @notactuallyatreefrog 😃😃

it’s mainly emotional. they all somewhat get beaten and tossed around… bucky loses his metal arm at one point (that was great!). but yeah, there are more emotional than physical whump.

gotta say tho, the emotional whump in this movie is FANTASTIC. please watch it!
