Kings bounce back after 3-game slide
After losing 3 in a row to the Warriors(by 1), the Jazz, and the Clippers, the Kings return with a big win against the Pacers at home followed by a dominant win in Phoenix(one of the more dominant wins in recent history).
Slides happen. What’s important is to keep them to a minimum and come back swinging, which is just what the Kings have done here. Keep in mind they only very narrowly lost to Golden State even though they played quite mediocre. And the Clippers are playing some of the best basketball in the league right now. If you’re gonna have a slide, this would be an understandable time to have one. Things seem to be looking up now though, as the Kings head on the road to face some of the worst teams in the league right now(Cleveland and Chicago) along with a follow-up Pacers game this time in Indiana. I am hoping the game in Phoenix is a view into how this trip will go, although that is really just hopeful. That being said, the Kings have been very dominant against teams that are under 500 this year. I would be happy with 2 wins out of the next 3 on the road, but I would not be surprised if Sac comes out of it with a sweep on the trip. Sac has been fantastic on the road, perhaps because there is a certain pressure to perform at home, and on the road they perhaps do not get the same jitters and seem well equipped to surprise a home team.
This is a young team that continues to surprise, now standing at 12-11 and tied in 8th place in the Western Conference with another surprising team- The Mavs. Doncic is perhaps the Rookie of the year up to this point, which is really no surprise being that he has been playing on big stages since he was 13 years old. It is exciting to be one of the teams making a statement this year.
Next up The Kings will be facing the Cavs tomorrow on Friday at 4:30 pm. Look for De’aaron Fox to reassert himself, as he has been somewhat absent and struggling with his shot the last few games. Also look for the Kings to get out to another quick lead, in a similar fashion to how they did in Phoenix. Gotta keep the pressure on. on and on.

Kings weather the storm at home vs Thunder
After a few tough road losses(although hard fought in Memphis) the Kings came back home in style with an impressive home win against OKC. Hield and schumpert led all Sac scorers with 25 and 23 points. Fox had 13 assists, with a few that belong in the SC highlight reel. Bagley brought a double-double with 15 points and 13 rebounds and 3 blocks(DYAMN), and Bogie also contributed 16 points, including a sick between the legs pass to Stein for a dunk.
This game felt good, after a tough few games on the road. With lingering doubts about the franchise’s announcement of disappointment in the direction Coach Dave Joerger was taking with the team. Apparently they don’t like the way he is assigning minutes, complaining that he isn’t playing young talent enough. This is a bit of a surprise given the success the Kings have had this year, so far completely outdoing everyones expectations about the team. It seems quite out of the blue, but we don’t really know the background of whats going on behind the scenes, so its hard to say what has really been transpiring, when you only see games. That being said, I think this win must have tasting quite sweet for Joerger, who seems to be in the “hot seat” now. You know, although it is random, I’m not angry about this announcement if it makes the team fight harder. This is a good chance for Dave to stick it to the franchise. You gotta wonder if Sacramento has an idea for someone they would like to replace Joerger with, or if they just want rid of him. A little bird told me Phil Jackson was coming out of retirement to coach the Kings (just kidding), you wouldn't be mad though would you? ahahaha ... or adelmann returning or something... someone with less of a christian youth group leader look, and more of a bulldog perhaps? ha
The Kings take on the Jazz next on Wednesday in Utah and hope to continue what they got going yesterday in Sac. oi.
sorry if these have gotten shorter and less informative. I have been a little more busy than usual, so I’m just trying to balance stuff. I won’t go away though. not yet. <3

Kings outdo Spurs 104-99 in solid home win
Last night the Kings faced the Spurs at home, and everyone got the treat of seeing them rolling on all cylinders in one of the more solid performances we have seen all year out of the young team. Bogdan is back, and he showed us what we had been missing in his absence, bringing 22 points off the bench and looking very comfortable out on the floor. Fox’s shot was on, dropping 19 points and 7 assists(3/4 from three), and so was Bjelica’s, going a perfect 3 for 3 from three point land. Then Stein brought 13 points and 13 rebounds respectively. On the defensive end Sacramento made it very difficult for the Spurs, forcing 15 turnovers and holding them to 99.
Recently the Kings’ ability to play hard defense has been just as impressive as their ability to run fast, and they employed both of these skills with great effect Monday night. San Antonio is NOT an easy team to beat, but there was a sense that perhaps the Kings were a good matchup for the Spurs, who are a little on the older side as a team. Sure enough, Sac was able to stick with them and set the tone and pace. The Kings never trailed by more than 2 points all game long, and Aldridge was held to 14 points in 34 minutes. DeRozan 23 with 8 assists, but the Spurs had trouble really stringing together a lot of scoring in a row.
This is one of those games that Sac needed to continue to show that they are a threat and not to be taken lightly. This game broke a 14 game lose streak to the Spurs, to further illustrate the changes occurring in this young team. They are besting teams they haven’t beaten in years, and lighting their fanbase on FIRE In the process. This game goes to add even more confidence to this Kings base, and Greg Popovich had a lot of positive things to say about Sac in the post game interview. When asked about what he thought of this Kings team, Pop said:
“I was really impressed. Their culture is changing, it’s changed dramatically. Their guys are committed, their guys are physical....Their Taking pride in playing some defense... we’re seeing Vlade make some great moves. I think that they’ve done a great job putting that group together, and they look really good.”
That’s high praise from one of the great coaches of all time. So Sac is on the right track, that is for sure. The year is still quite young though, and this team has a lot of the season left to continue to build. I would say even a playoff berth would be a huge accomplishment this year, although its too early at this point to see what they are in store for. One thing is for sure, its been a thrill to see things start to click and to see this young team start to gel and find a comfort zone within each other. When their shots are falling the Kings can hang with the best of them, but I would say their defense has been the most pleasant surprise of all this year, as they have had all kinds of success against some great teams. If they can learn to take care of the ball even with their fast pace, I think we will start to see them beat some top teams(at least give them all kinds of trouble). It’s when the open shots don't fall that they get into trouble(which is always the case in basketball). If the open shots don’t fall, you just can’t win. That’s why it’s been fantastic to see Fox, Bjelica, and others start to get hot on the floor and hit the long ball. It is just so key to hit those open threes in crunch time. I can’t stress that enough.
So the Kings are off until Friday when they face the Grizzlies in Memphis, followed by Houston the next day on Saturday. These will be some winnable games on the road and should be great games. The Kings already beat the grizzlies earlier this year, and Sac seems to be a good matchup for them, as they don't do too well with fast paced teams. Also Houston has struggled this year, and the Kings will seek to take advantage of that and get a win.
(Just a little extra coverage) I was listening to Grant and Doug today and they said ‘barstool sports’ wrote an article where they said they were watching “the most fun team in the NBA right now(referring to the Kings), talking about how the culture of this team is on fire right now, and that Doug and Grant are a perfect pair for this team and have the best reactions to everything. That really made me happy, because I agree. There is an awesome thing going on with this team, where they didn’t have any expectations of being great, but they are delivering something special this year, and we are lucky to be witnessing it.
I’ve been super tired today, not sure why. If this post seems a bit lackadaisical, that’s why... ALSO, SUPER JEALOUS of Ryan price, who was out at the game last night !! Golden 1 must’ve been NUTS.
I’m a go take a nap now. The game on friday will start at 5. Go Kings !

Kings handle T-Wolves, fall to LA in back to back home games
I was able to make it out to my first game of the season to watch The Kings take on Minnesota at home( thanks to my English teacher from Buckingham, Ryan Price, who hit me up on Facebook and texted me the tickets a few hours before the game!!.), and I couldn’t have gotten more lucky to see that Matchup(I feel bad for the people who paid top dollar to see the Kings score 86 points :/). Although Sacramento got off to a slow start(down 9-1 early), they outplayed and overpowered the Timberwolves, topping them 121-110. Stein scored 25, and Fox had a double-double with 16 points and 10 assists. Bjelica, who was on Minnesota last year and didn’t get much playing time, BROUGHT IT, scoring 14 points, grabbing 8 rebounds and adding 2 blocks. It must have been really satisfying for “Belly” to show his old team what they have been missing, and you could see in his eyes that he was out to get them.
This was not an easy game, because Minnesota was 0-7 on the road coming into the game, and they were chomping at the bit to get that first win away. It was nice to see the Kings meet that adversity and overcome it. There were a couple things that were rough for Sac. Karl-Anthony Townes pretty much scored at will all game, dropping 39 points, but it was not enough to outdo the Kings in the late game, where Minnesota sorta fell apart.
Golden 1 center was electric. It was nice to see the place get up and lose their cool, and I think that helped the Kings really drive the win home. These are the kind of games you need to win if you want to be a real contender. No game is an automatic win. This is the NBA, and any given night any team can beat any team on any court. So, it was very good to see Sac get this win at home, and was also nice for the fans to get in on that energy(they deserve it). Thanks again for looking out, Price!
The same can’t be said for the Lakers game, which fans paid a LOT to see, and the Kings generally looked winded and sloppy pretty much all game long, scoring only 86 points(the fewest all year), and shooting only 34.8% on the game. That’s not really to the Lakers credit though, as they looked really bad too. They didn’t play LeBron that much(31 minutes), but he still quietly scored 25 and grabbed 7 boards. Fox looked good in the early game, but as the game wore on, it was clear the Kings were tired. They played 3 games in 4 days and it showed.
Still, nearly all game long, the Kings were in the game, and there was the feeling that if they could get just the smallest bit of momentum, they could still have taken this game(especially with Golden 1 behind them). But alas, Buddy Buckets couldn’t buy one(3-17 from the field), and neither could schump, and when your prime scorers are missing wide open jumpers, there’s really not much you can do. This happens once in a while, it was just SUCH a bummer that it had to happen in their home game against the Lakers, being their main rival and all. Ugh. It baffles me that Sacramento seems to stay in games while totally blowing it sometimes. There have been plenty of games where they are not playing good basketball, but they seem to stay close to their opponent the whole time. This is a skill of theirs i suppose, but it would be even better if they would just play better basketball, and not be forced to grind ugly until they find their sweet spot. As disgusted as I was with the game, it’s mostly because it was against LA that I’m annoyed by. It’s understandable that the team would be tuckered out, playing 3 in 4.
This was a good test for Sac. Playing at this fast as Fox pace is not easy when your schedule gets packed, clearly. The Kings need to learn to shoot high percentage shots more often, and make smart passes. Sometimes I swear they think they are The Harlem Globetrotters. This is the burden a quick and flashy team bears, and lets face it, Sac is still finding their comfort zone within it. Now at 7-6(still better than what was expected), and in 8th place, we will see if the Kings can continue to prove to the league that their run was not a fluke, as Las Vegas continues to devalue them(they had the T-Wolves winning by 5 even though they hadn’t won a road game).
Next up the Kings will face a difficult San Antonio Spurs team(7-4) at home in Sac on Monday(7 pm pst). This will be yet another great test for this young team to hopefully overcome.
Feel free to dialogue with me or talk basketball with me!
Have a pleasant sunday yallz, and if the smoke is affecting you, get a mask or get out of dodge. These fires are scary as hell. Prayers go out to those affected. Until next time,
stay gucci.

Kings bested by NBA’s best
Leonard and The Raptors improve to 11-1 last night, snagging the best record in the league as they outplayed the Kings in Sacramento(114-105). The schedule went from good to ugly recently as the kings were forced to face two of the leagues best(Milwaukee and Toronto), which they were fully expected to lose. Although the Kings were run out of Milwaukee in a blowout, it was nice to see them compete against the Raptors at home(despite a less than satisfactory performance). Last year Sac would have probably lost this game by 15-20 points, so it is encouraging to see them stay competitive against easily one of the strongest teams in the league. A few bright spots for the Kings were found in Cauley-Stein(24 pts, 8 rebounds) and Buddy Hield(also scoring 24), as well as Bagley III who came off the bench to score 13. Bogdan Bogdanovic was back on the floor as well, and although he didn’t play many minutes(18) it is clear that we have another ball handler and scorer in him. We will be seeing more of Bogdan as he gets used to playing more time, and he will be a huge resource for the team going forward.
Although I’m not totally disappointed with the performance last night, it is clear that they are still falling short when it comes to competing with the top teams in the league(which is to be expected). It didn’t help that some of the only times Sacramento got running they seemed to be shut down by referees in some rather picky foul calls. When you are playing the best in the league and are clearly not on the same level, it is hard to rise above disappointing calls and continue to keep the pace up and the positive energy. Remember, The team is young and needs to learn these valuable lessons! Losses result in lessons, and these last few games had a lot to teach. When matching up against a player like Kawhi Leonard, many times great defense is not enough. When matching up against an elite team like Toronto often times great play calling is not enough. Shots need to fall, and players need to remain cool headed and not get flustered. Great teams can make good players look bad. Koufos has struggled to find his place on the Kings this year, and we saw how he seemed to have trouble with the fast pace the team is adopting this season. Going forward I can see Jàger needing to have Koufos play less minutes, giving Stein and Bagley more playing time as the year rolls on. This team is evolving and not every player will jive with that evolution well. Some tough decisions will need to be made regarding minutes played by key players. It is good to face a team like the Raptor, because these are the kinds of games where hard decisions are made.
All in all this game really was a success for the Kings, as they were expected to lose by 9, and they DID compete and even had a chance to snag the win late in the 4th quarter. Keep in mind that Toronto beat the Jazz in Utah 124-111 just two days before without the help of Kawhi Leonard.
Next the Kings will take on the Minnesota T-Wolves on Friday night at Golden 1. The T-Wolves have yet to win a game on the road, and Sacramento will aim to keep it that way. Until then, have yourself a pleasant thursday.
See ya this weekend,

Bucks make Kings look young in blowout
Giannis and the Bucks had themselves a little party Sunday afternoon in Milwaukee, making the Kings look like their old selves in the process. This was bound to happen at some point, and we knew this would be a tough one. We hadn’t seen Sacramento look this bad since last year. It was just one of those games where they never really got going. Plus, it seemed The Bucks couldn't miss, going 30-33 from the free-throw line and 46-95 from the floor. There were not a lot of bright spots for the Kings, so I won’t even go into their stats. Well, Hopefully they got it out of their system, because their schedule isn’t going to get any easier this week. They face The Raptors on Wednesday, followed by Minnesota, LA, and San Antonio in a rather difficult home stand. They had been on the road 4 games in a row, which can wear any team down(they went 3-1 in that road trip, which I’d happily take any day of the week). Perhaps coming home to Golden 1 will offer them the support they need to get back on the horse and win some of these tough games ahead . I wouldn't sweat the loss too much, as the Bucks are probably one of the top 3 teams in the league overall this year, and Antetokounmpo is on the short list for a possible MVP this year. There’s a reason they call him “The Greek Freak”, and we were reminded why once again yesterday.... ouch.
Sacramento basketball continues on Wednesday as the Kings take on Kawhi Leonard and the 9-1 Toronto Raptors in Sactown at 7:00 PST
until then, keep ya nose clean.
oi,

Kings taste sweet revenge in Atlanta
The Kings were dominated last year in Atlanta(by 46 points), and had lost every meeting at the Hawks court since 2006. So, To see them come out tonight and win in the fashion they did was extraordinary. Sacramento blew the hawks out 146-115, and in the process won their fifth game in a row, and third straight on the road. I’d been waiting for a game like this, where we see Sac firing on ALL cylinders and execute for the entire game long. We have seen the Kings win games, but even in their wins there was a sloppy feel to the play in general. There was a lingering feeling that if the team played at its best, we could see them dominate some teams. Well it seems Atlanta was the perfect venue for everything to click, and it DID.
De’Aaron Fox led the way with the first triple-double of his young career. Putting up 31 points, 10 rebounds and 15 assists. He was damn near flawless tonight. In the process Fox broke the record as the youngest player in NBA history with stats that high, beating out Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan(go figure). He was drilling threes as well as free throws, going 3/4 from three and 10/11 from the stripe. Buddy Buckets also came out to play tonight with 27 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. The team also got a lot of support from Bjelica, Bagley, and Cauley-Stein. Everyone was involved, but Fox no doubt set the tone tonight.
The speed of this game was lightning, which was to be expected. The Hawks and Kings are first and second in the league when it comes to pace. But there is no doubt about it, Sacramento executed fantastic on offense and defense, which the Hawks struggled with. They chalked up 22 turnovers over the course of the game and gave up 146 points. The Kings played better defense through and through, and forced many more stops than Atlanta.
All excitement aside(and it is exciting), Sacramento will be facing the Bucks in Milwaukee on Sunday, which will likely be the biggest test they have had so far this year. The Bucks are 7-1 and are one of the best teams in the league right now. It will be anything but easy, but keep in mind that the Kings have been gaining a lot of confidence in this string of wins and are learning(on the fly) to win ball games. They are tasting the proverbial prime rib of victory so to speak(and it TASTES GOOOOOOD). So... i would not count them out on Sunday, as they set out to further prove that they are a team to watch, and a better team than everybody predicted. They should no longer be seen as a team that is an easy win, but a hard-working team willing to put in maximum effort and grind out a win by any means necessary. I don't see their success thus far as a fluke. I see it as only the beginning of something very sweet that just might end in a playoff berth, or something close to it. This young team is growing, and learning what it takes to be a contender in this league.
Stay tuned guys, we are in for a doozie of a season!!! YEEEEEE!!!! Feel free to comment to me and create a dialogue if you are also a fan. I would love to hear from you.
If i don’t write anything until then, I’ll see y'all on Sunday(12:30) when the Sacramento Kings(6-3) travel to Milwaukee to take on the Bucks(7-1).

Two weeks in, Kings at 5-3
So....I’m just gonna start writing like i never stopped.... not gonna make excuses or talk about why i dropped off....but.... it was because I was having trouble watching the games and being enthusiastic about it. It was starting to drain me because they were so god-awful. OK. I’m gonna try to get back on the ball now..
So we are two weeks into the NBA season and the Kings have thus far shocked everyone with a 5-3 record, and have won the last 4 games in a row(beating the Grizz and the Wiz @ home, and then in Florida taking down the Heat and Magic). Last year they did not win 3 games in a row the whole season. It is clear we are dealing with a different animal with this team than we were last year. They finish. Something they could never quite pin down last year. Yes, I know the season is still premature and we have yet to know exactly what we are in for, and there are clearly areas of their game that still need a lot of improvement. But one thing is for sure, Sacramento has succeeded in surprising me, as well as pretty much everybody  thus far.
At the end of pre-season ESPN’s Power Rankings ranked the Kings dead last(30 out of 30 teams), and although they started 1-3, they now are 5-3, with another very winnable game in Atlanta on Thursday. The point is, this team was grossly underestimated this year so far, which always goes to create a uniquely fun environment and culture for fans. you can hear them now.... “Oh yeah ESPN? dead last ? how bout SUCK ME.”
Alright....
Now for a brief overview of the players that make up the 2018/2019 Kings, and what they’ve done and where they stand so far in my opinion. There is a definite feeling that the Kings possess more of the puzzle pieces to win games than they did last year, even without their best player from last year Bogdan Bogdanovic, whose been out with a knee injury. He is expected back around November 7.
                                    Player overview
Nemanja Bjelica
Bjelica has been like liquid gold on the court. He’s shooting at an incredibly high percentage(averaging 15 ppg) and has been hitting some big shots in the clutch. He has been somehow productive nearly every other play that he’s on the floor. Nemanja’s defense is also better than  was anticipated.  This guy is a God-send for the Kings. He has a very high basketball IQ, which is something the team has been seriously lacking. He’s displayed an amazing ability to pass the ball and create plays out of nothing. I’m juiced the Kings picked him up, and it will be fun to see if he can keep this up.
Buddy Hield
“Buddy Buckets” has been shooting the ball very well so far this season(averaging 18.9 ppg) and has also hit his share of high stress crunch time shots. This is his third season and he is growing into a great shooter and a leader on the team. The one bone I have to pick with Hield is with his ball handling ability coupled with his desire to handle the ball(averaging 2.6 turnovers per game). I feel like he would be more effective if he shot more and dribbled less. There have been more than a few times where Buddy has made some truly careless passes. He needs to find the point guard rather than setting up plays himself in my opinion, because he gets stolen from too often. But that being said, Buddy has proven he is a staple in this team and one of the prime scorers.
Willie Cauley-Stein
Willie “Trill” has stepped up his game in a lot of ways this year. He is averaging 17.4 PPG and 9 RPG, throwing down double doubles the last four games. He seems to be gaining confidence and realizing what he is capable of. He is a force to be reckoned with on the inside this year. Stein used to seem a bit sheepish but at the end of last year and coming into this year he has shown that he is one of the leaders of this team. Willie can use a little bit of work with establishing some faking techniques to avoid being blocked, but besides that I love what he has going on this year. I feel he can do even more than we’ve seen if he continues to find a place of comfort and confidence to operate from.
De’Aron Fox
De’Aron is just getting better all of the time. Averaging 17.5 ppg and 6.9 assists per game, he is the Kings prime point guard and setup guy. I love what Fox has done so far this year but there are a few things he can work on. His free throw shooting and shooting in general has been a little rough, and sometimes he tries to do too much, forcing himself into rough situations or taking hard shots instead of passing and creating a good look. If he can shape up these two areas he will be unstoppable. Fox has the ability to accelerate the game’s pace to an insane speed, which has a lot to do with the King’s success this year. The sky is not the limit for Fox.
Marvin Bagley III
2nd pick out of Duke,  “Marvelous” Marvin Bagley, has come out and been productive in many ways already this year, right out of the gate. He is a presence on the inside, and has the unique ability to shoot and then follow his shot very quickly, often resulting in offensive rebounds and put backs. He’s also shown that he can hit the long ball when he is left uncontested. Not many rookies start off with this much swagger. I was a little worried when I watched him in the pre-season but he is learning FAST. Bagley is going to do some monster things in this league. At first I was worried that we missed out on Doncic, but Marvin has proven to be just what Sacramento needed for the chemistry of their team. “ROTY??!” ummm.. issa still a little early
Frank Mason III
Frank is almost a better ball-handler than Fox. He serves as an awesome backup for De’Aron and has a shot and the ability to make smart plays and create. Mason continues to be another great tool in the Sacramento Kings tool chest. When De’aron kinda loses control, Frank has the ability to simmer things down just enough and recalibrate.
Iman Shumpert
“Shump” was picked up from the Cavs in the off-season and has been another great clutch shooter. He went off against the Thunder, scoring 26 points in 30 minutes. There’ve been a few games he hasn’t played, but when he does play, he offers point production and has a veteran mindset to bring to a young team. Iman was a great pickup for the Kings.
Justin Jackson
Justin has struggled to establish himself this season so far. He has had good moments but not enough of them. If he wants to keep playing as many minutes as he has been, he will have to be less shy and play with more hunger. If he doesn’t he might start seeing less playing time(The same goes for Harry Giles). there are other players chomping at the bit(Troy Williams for example, who came in and brought fresh energy and production the minute he hit the floor). If the Kings want to continue to grow rapidly and win they must be open to playing whoever brings that energy.
Welp, it’s nice to be back writing about my favorite basketball team. I’m gonna attempt to give my take after games when I can. Until next time,
GO KINGS!!

First Streak of the Year
The kings have won two in a row for the first time this season, both at home. They beat the OKC Thunder handily on Tuesday, and then squeaked out another win against the Sixers Thursday night.
These games were to me, the first signs of life. It was awesome to see things click at home, and for the fans to get to take part in these wins. This is crucial, as Kings fans have always been a huge part of the home court advantage for the Kings.
Josh Jackson, De’Aaron Fox, and Zach Randolph had been huge for the Kings in these wins. Also Buddy Hield has been getting a hot streak going. The game against the Sixers saw the Kings with the most assists(29) and 3 pointers made(12) so far this season. Also against the Sixers the Kings were down by 6 with 1 minute left and managed to go on a 7-0 run to finish it. Pretty exciting stuff.
I took a break from covering the games because I was busy with stuff, also the Kings had gone on a 0-7 run and I was a little discouraged. I know its no excuse, but I felt like what needed to be said had been said, and that I would weigh in when it made sense for me again....
Anyways- These last two games forced me out of my cave and back to work. Good job Kings, these games were some good Basketball, and its nice to see these guys get in a rhythm like it seems they have.
Tonight the Kings are in New York to face the Knicks. The Knicks are 6-5 and the Kings are now 3-8. This won’t be an easy game. I’ll do a writeup on the game tomorrow. I’ll be out at a show(Khruangbin) tonight but will try to follow it. Later y'all , and
GO KINGS!!!

Another Difficult Loss last night in Indiana...
 11.01.2017
The away game ended with a 101-83 Loss Tuesday night.
There is not much to say really. The Kings did not arrive. The Pacers did. And this team might need to lose a whole lot more before they feel even capable of competing with the better teams in the league in a real way. This team needs to move the ball better, needs to up the pace and play with the energy that they know they have. It was a really rough game to watch. Rough enough that I turned the channel to the world series when the game was about half done...
So now you see... This is the reason why they call me the “Super-Chill-Fan”... You see that ‘Chill’ in there? ... that should tell you... If this team plays like shit, I won't give the game my whole attention... I don’t get paid to do this. Therefore, I’m not gonna be the fans of this teams’ fucking therapist.
Therefore, THAT is why I failed to release this article on time... I suppose you could say I am learning on the fly, just like the Kings. And although sometimes I will not come through with the article with 100% of my effort, I promise to match what I feel to be the Kings effort in the game. I feel like THAT is fair.
And there you have it. The Kings are about to take on the Celtics on Boston for the second of their back to back road games. I am expecting what I’m SURE you’re all expecting...  blowout. a Massacre. A fun time for Boston to up all of their average statistics .... But I also have faith that The Kings will show up and do something worthwhile.... at least put up a challenge for the Celtics. I will be satisfied with that. Something more than they came with in Indiana... please...
Don’t expect a ton of coverage tonight because game 7 of the world series comes on in about an hour.. But will make a post either later tonight or tomorrow about the Celtics game....
but that being said, I will still go ahead and say this....
GO KINGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Preview: Kings are in Indiana for Halloween
10.31.2017
Sacramento takes to the road again to face off with the Pacers. These teams are very similar in that they are both loaded with young talent. It will be interesting to see how they match up.
The Kings are hoping to bounce back from their hard loss at home Sunday against the Wizards. Sac has fallen to 1-5 with 4 straight losses and have the worst record in the West besides Dallas, who are at 1-7 now. This game is huge for the Kings to get their confidence going and get in that “winning state of mind.”
catch the game today at 4:00 p.m. PST

The World Series “De-ball-cle”
10.30.2017
Listen.... I think i speak for EVERYONE when I say there’s nothing better than a homerun in baseball... But the Astros and Dodgers have now combined for a record-setting 22 homers in the series so far, with 7 of those homers being added in game 5. It is pretty insane that the record has been set and we are only on game 6. This is unprecedented and awfully exciting stuff. I personally enjoyed the hell out of these games, and all of the offensive action DEFINITELY helped....
Tumblr media
But now behind the scenes we are hearing that there may be a reason for all of these homers. It is being said that the balls used during the world series are smoother than balls during the regular season and even during the playoffs before the World Series. Pitchers are saying their sliders are not sliding like they usually do, and the ball is catching less air resistance due to the tread being slightly smoothed out.
Dallas Keuchel said that the balls are juiced following a world series game that his team won. he said the MLB did so to make the games more exciting, so that people would be drawn to the buzz. And now even more players that are playing in the world series are also saying the balls are slicker.
There was even a Blind test taken and it was easy to tell which ball was the world series ball, because it was noticeably smoother:
Tumblr media
It is easy to tell why the league would do something like this....people simply love home runs, and the league wanted to create an atmosphere that is electric. In a league that condemns ‘juicing’, it seems the baseballs themselves are juicing now.
Here is a graph that was presented by Baseball physicist Alan Nathan, and writer Rob Arthur of ‘fivethirtyeight.com‘ as evidence of the way baseballs carried other years vs. 2017 as well(besides the world series):
Tumblr media
MLB commissioner Rob Manfred discussed how fans love Homers and strikeouts in late June on yahoo sports, which is definitely a bit fishy as well.
Either way, Although its a bummer for the pitchers involved, the game is still being played with the same ball on both sides as far as we know. So at least there’s THAT. We will have to see how the rest of the series pans out, how many home runs get added to the tally and if there’s any more noise regarding this “de-ball-cle”.

Kings hit ‘Wall’ at home
10.30.2017
I’m gonna make this one relatively brief….(I know, how unprofessional of me, but I was more interested in the world series last night, and the smooth balls being ‘juiced’ potentially for homers.)
The Kings got down early and from there never really found their footing. To give some perspective, at half the score was 63-32, and it didn’t get much better the rest of the game.
Tumblr media
“Once they got on us, our young guys got a little frantic and then the wheels kind of came off,” Kings coach Dave Joerger said Sunday night in post game.
That was what went down. The Kings have yet to have THAT game where everything just sorta *clicks*. But I have faith in the team and I like what I see from Fox recently, and Bogdanovic has been a bright light for the team adding 15 points for the Kings. We even got to see that flagrant 1 Koufos threw down, which I personally liked to see. Call me crazy but I like a good flagrant 1 sometimes if its from a more shy player.
John Wall was hitting his jumper from further out, which he had been struggling with. When Wall hits his jumpers as we saw last night, you have trouble on your hands.
Wall said after the game,
“If I make shots, teams are willing to live with that instead of letting me get into the paint and get to the basket. If I’m able to knock down shots on a consistent basis it makes our team a lot better and it makes us tougher to guard.”
John Wall also expressed that he has been watching De’Aaron Fox pretty closely because they both played at Kentucky. He said Fox has a better shot than he did coming into the League, and has potential to be a huge player in the NBA.
Tumblr media
That was definitely the case Sunday night. The Kings had no answer for Wall. They were outplayed on both sides of the floor and from the looks of it still have a lot to learn. But I’m excited to watch them school and get schooled by the leagues elite. I like a good fresh team, with insane potential and an impossible-to-know ceiling. I see a lot of talent and I can’t wait to see how things play out this year.
The Kings will be in Indiana to face Victor Oladipo and the Pacers on Tuesday where they will pursue a much needed road win.
