The hike was wicked long and ferociously cold. Like, nips could cut through diamond-type cold. Even though the experienced slayer ran hot, Faith had to admit the cold was biting at her like an underfed vamp. Thankfully, the pot of liquid gold at the end of the aurora was an oasis on Earth -- and a few old friends to season the soup.

She'd never been this far north -- this city girl is used to street lights, not dancing greens and blues looking like a retro screensaver up above their heads. But Faith won't look a gift sea horse in the mouth. This hot spring is incredible, a far cry from the flooded rock quarry she used to dive into back home. Her wet hair is plastered in every which way across her face, neck, and shoulders as she cranes her head back to look at the sky, rambling idly as she does.

"--kinda reminds me of this one time I was dealin' with an Utkarsh demon, which had this sorta LSD slime on its skin and I got a bad lick of it and, woof, let me tell you the slayage was a little more sprayage. You ever try to fight monsters when your brain's in a lava lamp?"

She looks over at Jormun, half-submerged, and smiles lazily. "Anyways, what's it take to come by a place like this? You kill a yeti or something?"

As the northern night air sifts in through the crack of starlit sky above - its dim light all but gently grazing the faintly shifting, turquoise glow reflected off the springs onto the encasing cavern walls - what bare skin the serpent has exposed unto the cold sinks a little further with a slow exhale below the surface of the water. The others are there, yes, circled somewhere and embroiled in some manner of ribbing conversation he only vaguely tunes into as his eyes close, and he leans back, allowing the warmth of the pool to rise to the point just below his chest. Momentary comfort almost threatening to see him doze off for a minute.

What results is little more than an absent hum offered as he loosely perceives of an address angled enquiringly in his direction, though he distractedly catches neither the meaning nor the words--

Hey there! As you might know if you follow this blog, my name is Liz. I've made it very clear that this blog and my commissions / Payhip store are my only source of income. I'm partially disabled and living in a household that exacerbates said disabilities, along with subjecting me to abuse.

Being unable to be employed currently means that I'm also unable to get insurance for the dental care I need, and unfortunately, the only dentist in my area that will work with me due to allergies and special needs regarding my disability is rather expensive. I'm forced to pay out of pocket for medically necessary work that will drastically improve my quality of life.

This is where I humbly ask for help from the online community, and also understand that this is a difficult time for all of us. If you don't feel comfortable donating, please take a look at my commission prices, or my Payhip store. If you truly are unable to help monetarily, please give this a reblog and share around as much as possible. Every little bit helps, even exposure!

The treatment plan I've been quoted totals around $3500, and I currently have $600 saved. Any excess I receive will go towards prescriptions after procedures including antibiotics, pain medications, and sinus medications. Anything beyond that will simply go into my savings in case of other emergencies.

For more in depth information about the care, I need:

All but two of my teeth extracted on the upper half

Two wisdom teeth extracted from my right side, as well as a molar on the bottom half

3 to 4 fillings

Oral surgery to remove a tooth growing in on the roof of my mouth

Impressions for dentures

And the actual partial dentures.

This care will help improve my quality of life in the amount of pain I deal with on a day to day basis, as well as allow my TMJ disorder to begin to heal - due to being able to eat properly with the dentures.

you are always fighting to show you're better. always seeing who can run faster, talk louder, be stronger. you both whirl to face each other after every test, showing off the bright red numbers at the top of the page. when you beat them by a couple points, the "jokingly" smug look on your face makes them huff and turn away, give you a friendly punch to the shoulder that might leave a bruise. when you lose 90 to their 96, the bitter spark of jealousy in the pit of your stomach reminds you to study harder. you'll best them next time. sometimes this rivalry gets messy though, and for some reason you both tend to crush on the same person, hurting each other to compete for their affection. though you always end up forgetting the crushes, and making up. whats some random fling compared to your friendship anyway?
