When Mizu first moved overseas, she had a difficult time making friends. So she started attending community and public events, and eventually met Mikio.

He was much much older than her, but they shared a sarcastic sense of humour that bonded them.

At this point in her life, Mizu hadn't explored or considered her sexuality much. She was of the mind that sex was something of a chore, and they were a virgin before this relationship.

Eventually their friendship became romantic. Much of their relationship was Mizu trying their best to act more feminine and traditional for Mikio, who often said he wanted a good, proper wife.

But Mizu dedicated more time and attention to school and athletics, it made Mikio sour and insecure.

He got really sour especially when Mizu kept getting higher and higher achievements in her martial arts and swordfighting. He had competed long ago but had to quit due to an injury. Mizu was clearly better than he ever was and he couldn't handle it.

He began belittling her, mocking her 'masculine' tendencies, and trying to plant the idea in her head that a good wife wouldn't have time for all that.

Mizu did try to dress and act more feminine, even though she found it uncomfortable

Mikio ran in a few bad circles. So one day, fed up by her lack of total obedience, he called some folks up to come help "break in his woman."

Mizu doesn't like to think about what might of happened that night if she wasn't physically capable as she was. She always keeps herself armed with a knife or two, and managed to fight off a few of the men in the apartment before fleeing through the window.

They pressed charges, and Mikio is currently under a no-contact order. They have not spoken since.

Works as a swordfighting and martial arts instructor + professional fighter

Very successful and well-respected within the community, and becoming internationally recognized.
